Impossible to contact by phone, useless & toothless.
Impossible to contact by phone, put on hold for 1 hour until I gave up. A complaint I made 3 years ago about police misconduct wasn't even answered by the police. This company is useless & toothless. The text boxes only allow 1200 words & my complaint is over 2000 words as it's such a complex complaint about police incompetence, negligence & apathy over a long period & the most ridiculous excuses & patronising contact from local police.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt.
Corrupt. It wasn't until I had to deal with IOPC that I realized just how corrupt they are. They are most definitely NOT 100% independant of the police. They had written evidence that stated quite clearly of wrongdoing by the police yet sided with the police and stated that no wrong doing had occurred. Written evidence ffs!!! What are we to do when even the people we should be able to go to for help and justice are as corrupt as the police we are complaining about. The IOPC is not fit for purpose. After issues like this with police and IOPC we have absolutely zero faith in them. Would not call on them for anything in the future. I was and still am a victim that was not given the justice that quite clearly was deserved. Disgusting.

Have no powers
They said they don’t deal with officers breaking the law and have no legal powers to review it. They investigate if an officer has raped or murdered someone but cannot do anything legal.I asked what it is they do and the woman went silent for 10 minutes and I was like hello what are you doing and she said I am choosing to stay silent rather than answer your question about what we deal with and I can’t tell you what we do

Corrupt
Corrupt refer the case back to Police force who are responsible for the many abuses suffered which in my case was Leicestershire Police who reconstruct events to benefit their own officers. They will always protect their own.

Suicide, arrested4 public nuisance, IOPC sided with police
The IOPC said " they're ok with the police officers behaviour 2 arrest me knowing I had only attempted suicide, in a non public space" This is my review, hoping to raise awareness about the lack of support and accountability I had received from the IOPC and west midlands police complaints team. On 11/10/2024 I called my mental health team to tell them I wasn't coping, and I wanted to end my life. I was in a rural area, alone, with no people in my presence, a little distance near a park. UK. What I didn't know was the crisis team had called the ambulance, police in concern for my welfare.Sadly I harmed myself by drinking harmful chemicals. Soon a police officer turned up. I had seen this white male officer yesterday. I had previously been on a 136, mental health section with him in A&E.This male officer alone attends to me alone in the woods. Blue eyes, blonde hair. I begged for his help. Trying not to be sick blood on him. The ambulance turned up and walked 2 the same hidden entry I was in, and watched him closely stand by me in the woods with this one officer. The gentleman doesn't 136 me, he doesn't help me.He arrests me for public nuisance. I cry and say I'm never going to call for help again, as I was traumatised by what had happened. I asked the officer why had I been arrested in the van and he said because I call 999 too much. The ambulance said to the officer who had arrested me, she didn't call 999. It was her mental health team. My dad saw the ambulance and aided 2 my side. My elderly dad ran 2 me, cried, spoke with the police officer who had arrested me to try to help him understand that I needed to be in hospital, since I have 2yr suicide history, not being mentally well.I was compliant and calm but was crying my heart out. When I was in the ambulance van the police officer who had arrested me, left me in the ambulance van alone and didn't come back, didn't inform me were he was going. Leaving me in tight handcuffs. I attended the hospital first and then after the police custody station. The custody documented I had bruising to my wrists. The police arrest for public nuisance was dropped immediately within 2 hrs! When I complained to the police about the events, I provided 2 year phone records, to the complaints team showing evidently I had NEVER called 999, and multiple charities text messages printsreens showing they called 999 in concern for my welfare. Went thru the complaints process. The complaints team wmp shocked me and wrote in a summary report that I had a knife/blades/glass on 11/10/2024. I was never arrested for having a knife/blades on 11/10/2024.The complaints team also "alleged" in paperwork I had called 999 myself, 52 times in 2023-2024. Even though I handed evidence showing I didn't call 999.Never got an apology off IOPC or WMPMy witnesses, the ambulance staff made medical documents/accounts to what happened that day, documenting in their own words" I had attempted suicide and was immediately arrested for public nuisance..."My solicitor advised me to sue.Previous the day before, on 10/11/2024 I was with the same male white officer who arrested me. I was talking to female officer and he interrupted unprompted/out of the blue and threatened me to arrest me, looked up from his police phone and said he didn't like me. I was scared for my life. This was in the hospital. Children's room.Took it to the IOPC, they were very rude to me. Explained to me that they didn't believe the officer who had arrested me had done anything wrong on 11/10/2024. The IOPC didn't even cross reference to check the false allegations made against me by west midlands police. It's easy to prove, I was never arrested for having a knife on 11/10/2024 as the police have official documents... The IOPC never approached my witnesses for their accounts, ambulance crew, my family. There was little communication with the IOPC when assigned a complaints officer at IOPC. The IOPC said there is NO need or action for learning or improvement for the police to conduct/do.The IOPC felt in my opinion like it was a service who was siding on the police no matter what evidence, witnesses I had.I raised concerns to the IOPC that this was a failure in safeguarding, and a series of failures as no one consulted with the vulnerability desk to know if I was a vulnerable adult in need. I wasn't even in a public space, least restrictive options were not considered.I'm a young mixed raced lady early 20's who's volunteers, loves her community but is now too traumatized to be apart of her community today. And even though I saved some1's life when they wanted 2 take their own life in a public place, roads blocked off, fire van, ambulance 3 months after, I'm still scared to call 999 for help. Truly let down by the IOPC.GirlUK55

The IOPC are in my opinion are negative…
The IOPC are in my opinion are negative biased and do NOT make honest reviews outcomes. pretty much on the police's side, no matter what. The IOPC didn't ask for my witnesses to help me for my right to review.Even though IOPC case worker are supposed to ask for the evidence that you have/give you the opportunity to do this. The IOPC didn't comment on the medical documents that supported my points to enable me to apply for my right to review The IOPC didn't check any of the documents that the police had sent in the summary report, and did not cross reference check the false points the police had made.IOPC way or the high wayMade a complaint, but knowing them it won't go anywhere.

Do exactly what they are supposed to do
Do exactly what they are supposed to do which is absolutely nothing useful and to maintain police corruption.

So called Independent Office passes your complaint straight back to the police force you complained about for them to deny it again.
Complete let down.

No hope. Cool Britannia long gone Since May 2024 and been October 25…
Since May 2024 and been October 25 hence 30 yrs in London I never experienced what probably was there all along. 17 months? From PHSO British Gas Energy Ombudsman, Wandsworth Council the Police surely Housing Ombudsman, Action Fraud and now IOPC I've seen, felt the Bad the Ugly the Nasty. To cut short. Only and finally last August I saw what not able before.Wandsworth council has broken the law. The Housing law. Illegal intention of an illegal eviction and consequently serving an Unlawful Notice of Possession. Reported the crime 4 times in August. The Police in Battersea SW of which corrupted as much the Council is, had no intention. They even misconduct falsifying document date time to protect the Offender. Nothing than Silence. So through IOPC I logged a complaint. To which was passed to the local police. I mean, it is a vicious circle of complete disinterest. Even writing to the Boss Sir Mark Rowley Silence was always there. The pillar to post disgrace contacting via the Met online, 101 and whom not not hard to realise that this country got huge issues. When knocking telling them that I did not received any notification, if IOPC sent over to them, here comes an odd email from Stephanie part of customer service explaining even more oddities and I presumed as she knew too well, to apply again and submit a new complaint. By that time I researched their work. That viciousness became corruption in an organisation that should be,..mmm what's the word? Independent? They way these people of which I forgot LGSCO works, covering protecting who should be investigated, got the same M.0. Their job is to be there for the Authorities. The Public must at any cost get Abused Ridiculed Silenced. Woke. So as still waiting and given more time than asked, I called the other day, and they block my number. Fascinating. I read here an User got blocked online So as I did received their new joke automated reply to my new complaint that was not a complaint but my opinion on them, here the realisation it was no reply. Then I forwarded to Stephanie of which was delivered. I said what needed to say. Not sure if I filtered my thoughts. Honestly I don't care. IOPC is 100 times worst then Police and Council. 97% of 1 star? These organisations are ruing the Country of which is on the verge. People are fed up to be Silenced buy whom run this Totalitarian State. IOPC is Corrupted to the core of that Quality Integrety and Standard of its service of which they do not do.No principles morals values. I stopped the eviction. I'm not gonna be Judged by whom breaks the law.No respect for the Police either and all of them : Venduti 🤮🤮🤏🤌🤌🤏

Totally biased in favour of the police
Totally biased in favour of the police. In 2020-2021 around 23000 complaints were made and only 18 resulted in a police officer facing misconduct proceedings.

Very disappointed with the IOPC
Very disappointed with the IOPC. I raised a complaint about South Wales Police ignoring a hit-and-run — a clear criminal offence — despite me providing strong evidence: multiple camera angles showing the collision, the number plate, and the driver’s face. Instead of ensuring accountability, the IOPC failed to take meaningful action and could not get the police to investigate. What’s the point of oversight if such a serious crime is left unchallenged? Completely disillusioned with the system.

Corrupt organisation they cover up…
Corrupt organisation they cover up unprofessional behaviour , and blocked me on the official website, so I can't exspose there wrong doings, so I tell you here, I wanted to complain about there unprofessional behaviour to me for the 5 time and the site .gov site won't allow me to access the government site, they blocked me so I won't exspose there , corrupt, organisation, they are here to cover up not prove misconduct of police

Fails at everything that it is designed…
Fails at everything that it is designed to do. Staff/employees are bias towards the police, they do literally nothing. I didn't realise the police have a front organisation, used to d**kride themselves. This will get disbanded soon anyways there are hundreds on news articles covering how bad this organisation is.

Who ever claims to be independent is…
Who ever claims to be independent is utterly misleading and completely inaccurate. This the so called IOPC need to understand that they need to justify their existence and their social justice is on your social media reviews.

Submit a SAR to IOPC, it might demonstrate how PSD prejudice complaint process
After having my complaint partly dismissed by the IOPC I submitted a Subject access request (SAR) to the IOPC. The police force had sent pages of previous dismissed complaints I had allegedly made, to mislead the IOPC into thinking I’m a serial complainer. They also sent a list of crimes I’ve allegedly been accused of.Consequently, PSD have prejudiced the complaint process by trying to discredit me. This inaccurate/ false/ misleading information, was irrelevant to my complaint and has influenced the decision. The emails between PSD and the IOPC were interesting.
