Has gone trash since 2025

Total garbage how Pixlr has changed. I subscribed over October for retouching my headshots. And after adding new ones a few months, NOTHING was working. AI tools, background change, nothing. Just a faulty broken server with only info@gmail for a Support contact. Seriously? I realize many platforms have AI now. But to cheapen on subscribers like this for PAID service is unacceptable.

Corrupt borderline illegal

Disgusting company, corrupt borderline illegal business practices locking people into subscriptions then denying cancellation.

The overall experience and results are…

The overall experience and results are satisfactory , however i booked a whole year(a few monts ago) and had around 4500 credits still. Now they are suddenly 0 credits. I can still login but no more credits. I gave you 5 stars instead of 1 cause i know how reviews can affect a business. Please restore my credits?Salamat

Refused to give a reasonable refund

Refused to give a reasonable refundI somewhat impulsively signed up for pixlr's plus subscription and quickly found out the Hard Way that the pixlr plus webpages do not support RAW photo uploads even to save a life, never mind being actually able to PROFESSIONALLY edit them.I dont understand how a web photo service can consider itself to be PROFESSIONAL if it doesn't even support RAW open source DNG, never mind my ORFs, so I cordially requested a refund of my mere 2.24 U$D, which was FLATLY and DISINGENUOUSLY REFUSED by a lame, unhelpful pixlr support email.I was provided with a stupid fine-print link to their entire Terms of Service, none of which I deem enforceable anyway, due to their SHARP and SHADY presentation of said terms, in my PROFESSIONAL opinion.david james shaver online

Acting unlawfully

DMCC act 2024 'it is now a requirement by law to send a timely reminder ahead of auto renewal dates.'Pixlr have acted illegally and have taken £68.23 from my account without prior warning. Not only this but also did not warn me of a price increase either. I am awaiting an email responce and a refund!!*update* they refuse to refund and have totally ignored the DMCC Act 2024. Nice consumer care!!*updateAfter writing this I was offered a 11month partial refund , it really should have been 12 months but for arguments sake I let them have it. Good to get it sorted in the long run.

I wanted an object erased from a photo

I wanted an object erased from a photo. I used Pixlr and the result was as per my expectations. I also like the intuitive interface.

Not worth the money

I found this as a first website listed on google, what a terrible experience this was, even after buying the so called "PRO" license the AI editor and the AI generator were utterly bad, never using this again, reviews only corrected me

Stay Away - Just AI Junk now and lousy at that

This used to be a competent, well-thought out, user friendly FREE platform and site. Since its sale to the current operator, it has steadily declined, become more expensive, and added tons of ill-conceived AI features that simply do not work or are so defective, they are useless. Typical corporation mentality, trying to keep up with the Joneses at the expense of reliability and only by gouging longtime customers. Even Autodesk and 123RF didn't do as much damage to this formerly excellent product as the so-called Imagine Group has. Sad. I'm cancelling my subscription which I've kept up since 2010, but enough is enough. Shame on you.

I used to be a paid user

I used to be a paid user. I'm a traditional artist who used pixlr for editing photos of my artwork. It used to be a dream! It was easy to use and had features other online editors didn't (like the option to balance black and white as opposed to just contrast and brightness options) and while all those features are still there and haven't changed... the immediate jump on the AI wagon makes it insufferable to use now. Most users prior to the AI push would've been photographers/graphic designers/artists, they wouldn't have needed or wanted AI features. Yet they got shoved onto us anyway. Every single aspect of the site is "AI" this and "AI" that now, literally every single bit of text on the site tells you this is an AI photo editor with AI features, you constantly get pop ups telling you to generate with AI, and now with your subscription you get AI credits to AI generate images, and what for? I generate images myself. I'm an artist. What is the point of me generating garbled impresice cheap looking versions of what I already do? That's what I'm paying for now?! I recommend using gimp instead, it has the same option to balance white and black in the exposition settings that I used to mainly use pixlr for. If they want to be a lazy uncreative person's low quality content generator then they can go ahead and be that without me.

Unethical automatic renewal – avoid Pixlr at all costs

I used Pixlr for a year and completely forgot the auto-renewal was on. Ι was suddenly charged for a full annual subscription, without any warning or confirmation email beforehand.I contacted support within one hour of the charge, asking for a refund since I didn't want to use it any more. They refused, hiding behind their so-called “no refund policy.”This is absolutely unacceptable and unethical. I live in the EU, where consumers are protected under Directive 2011/83/EU, which clearly grants a 14-day withdrawal right for digital services that haven’t been used. Pixlr’s policy directly violates EU consumer law and shows complete disrespect for their customers.I strongly advise anyone thinking of subscribing to avoid Pixlr. There are plenty of better and more transparent tools out there that actually respect their users and don’t rely on tricking customers with automatic renewals and refusing legitimate refunds.

Terrible AI Features

Tried the "Generative Fill" and "Noise Remover", the model 1) doesn't understand the image's context, and 2) doesn't understand your prompt and would add any random object.

APP IS FORCING AN UNWANTED UPGRADE ON ME!

I have a paid in full Pixlr Plus account, but when I went to use it today, the app tried to automatically sign me up for a Premium account. To add insult to injury, it won't allow me to use the app at all.I don't want a Premium account because I use the app for basic things like creating collages and cropping photos. Sometimes I use the AI erasure. My subscription is current until December 31st, and I have enough AI credits! I have emailed them and reached out on various sites to no avail. Why am I being prevented from using the app and program I paid for? Kindly fix the error and let me complete using my paid subscription or offer me a refund for the difference. I am NOT interested in an upgrade!

Pixlr. Wasted my credits and killed my video

I decided to create a 20 second video with pixlr. The AI slapped some kind of alien-language captions on your poor dog video. Classic. The prompt is correct, but the generator is chewing it up and spitting out nonsense at the bottom. And the killer blow was a image of a dog sitting with it's head facing the other way.
