I bought the hype. Big mistake.I signed up in the fall when they were pushing those heavy Black Friday discounts. After reading a bunch of “reviews,” I expected them to be the most complete provider out there. That claim doesn’t hold up.In my setup, they performed worse than my NewsgroupDirect account. When I ran them as my second provider, they barely filled anything. I flipped them to primary and moved NewsgroupDirect to secondary, and the results were even clearer: posts that wouldn’t complete on Newshosting did complete on NewsgroupDirect.Bottom line: all the talk about this service being “better” feels like pure marketing, not reality.

I am very irritated by the constant bait and switch almost fraudulently created price hikes on the plans. They sell us on low price intro rates then those rates increase. Then they increase them again, and again, for how many times? This is a scam.

Years of great service and extra value
I’ve used Newshosting since 2018 and have never had a reason to switch. The speeds are excellent. A huge bonus is the included VPN, which has saved me a significant amount of money on extra subscriptions over the last few years.

Paid for something i cant use. Canceled last time but it seems that tje cancelation never went through. So now 1 year later had to pay again for something i cant use. Hope now it stays canceled.

I had an account here for at least five years and it seems they are now just using their site as an opportunity to gather information on customers through invasive cookies and other methods. They raised my rate without asking and offer people discounts if they are new but those of us who have paid them for years get nothing. Just a bad example of being a reputable company.

I recently tried to sign up for a newshosting account. Got an email from newshosting saying that payment had not gone through. Trouble was my account had been debited for $180, twice what I had arranged.Tried to contact Newshosting via their ticket/email customer support without success.Account is showing as active on control panel but its as dead as a dodo. Total lack of support from customer support.

Deceptive and not trustworthy
Deceptive. Just look at all the one star reviews with people claiming all kinds of price and billing related issues. Why can't you just honor the price we all signed up for? Why would anyone trust this company with their money?I signed up thinking I got a deal but thank god I found lots of people online complaining about deceptive bait and switch billing tactics, I checked my own account and sure enough, I was going to be a victim too. I cancelled and have found another Usenet provider.

Be prepared for constant price increases, without proper warning. They like to make it look like they are the biggest and the baddest, but once you sign up and see the level of service you get, that is not the case. Be prepared for data to just go missing, with no explanation of why.And they try to give away free VPN and block accounts on other sites, but these services are not useful, just a marketing gimmick.

If you're trying to cancel, brace yourself for a frustrating maze.The cancellation process is deliberately convoluted, and support is nearly nonexistent—unless, of course, you're looking to upgrade. Then they’re suddenly available. It feels like the main function of their support team is to block cancellations, not to help customers.

The recent price hike took me by surprised, and I definitely did not get a notice in advance. I'm going to try finding another provider this year just to save some money.It's a great service, but the price hike makes no sense. This isn't a market driven commodity they're just being greedy.

Newshosting charged me for service I didn't order
Newshosting recently charged me for VPN service I never signed up for. Then told PayPal they had "delivered" it. I had been happy with the Usenet service over the last several years until then. Is this how they treat their best customers now? All I require is a refund and an apology, but that seems to be impossible for them. Edit: Update - after going back and forth I didn't get an apology but they did refund the extra they had charged.
