As always been the case for us NFCU comes through as they have four the last 50 years. They have attempted to streamline the process ever more. If they were to be any complaint it would be the time required to go through the process Also things can get just a little out of kilter. I actually had an insurance policy in place 10 days prior to receiving my funds on an equity loan.

I’m not 100% sure why it took us almost 5 months to complete a heloc when we asked for only $135k owed 45k and the house appraised for 235k glad it’s done but was very disappointed in the fact that we had to reload information 2 and 3 times, the underwriting just had to open the file and would have found everything they asked us for.

Anne at the Brea, CA branch helped me add an external account to the accounts to which I could transfer money as I could not do it myself on the website. She assisted me in numerous ways without getting frustrated, impatient, or short with me. She had a great attitude and even when I had to use the website rather than the app because my phone was too old to run the app. And I greatly appreciated that she explained the process thoroughly with me so I knew what to expect. Anne's a great example of why I prefer to handle issues in person at a branch rather than on an automated phone system.
