Before Monday.com, it wasn't smooth sailing...
Before Monday.com, my team’s workflow felt like herding cats. Tasks got lost, deadlines blurred, and updates were scattered across emails and chat threads. Monday.com changed that. I can assign tasks, track progress, and see who’s doing what in one glance. The notifications keep me in the loop without feeling spammed. Color coding and boards make it easy to spot urgent items. The team collaborates smoothly, sharing files and updates without endless back-and-forth. It turned chaos into order and actually made managing projects enjoyable. I can finally breathe knowing everything is organized and visible. Monday.com didn’t just streamline work; it made the team feel connected and on the same page.

Need better API but overall good
Need better API but overall good They race to create an app for everyhing but end up lacking in all the offerings except for the core offer (monday work management) Great bare bone though and autopilot hub been a great addition - wish there's an API way of setting up automations & integrations

Absolutely unusable app
Absolutely unusable app, extremely inconvenient. Some kind of perversion. Should only suit the most desperate masochists.

Sign up / Pricing is VERY misleading...
I really like the product but the pricing structure is VERY misleading.Signed up for a trial - liked it so decided to purchase a membership. You can only purchase 3 seats as a minimum, which for a solo business is pointless. Why price quoted is PER SEAT, not the total price. This feels like what it is, ie a sharp tactics to get you to sign up for a trial, then purchase a subscription once you are far enough in for it to feel inconvenient to cancel."Stuff it" I thought and paid for 3 seats.Within zero time at all I receive multiple alerts that I was up to every limit under the sun - and would need to upgrade.i have barely started using the software.I then checked out the TrustPilot reviews and obviously, their page is rife with this kind of BS.Have cancelled (which by the way takes a LOT of hunting around to find out how to do this. It is however VERY easy to upgrade - funny that).Monday.com looked to me like it was going to be a good product and serve the business well. However, I don't like the feeling I'm being played which is exactly what Monday.com are doing. If they weren't so greedy and underhanded with their sign up I'd have happily subscribed to their product.

This program is not built for project management or enterprise use
This program is not built for enterprise or complex use. The program is so flawed and I may not be able to stop where it has been adopted in a few areas, but glad I can list and show why to other departments this is a continued disaster and not usable for broader use. Reaching out to development was pointless. So all efforts going to prevention and showing other departments the issues and responses back from Monday to show why this is more difficult to use than Salesforce for anything that has any hint of complexity or is enterprise level. You have to create backward uses for the smallest things and it's simply horrible.

UX/UI is BAD
i cannot use everything on my laptop because the popups and items gets cut - you are not adapted to a 15 inch screen? really? how am i supposed to work? very disappointing, and it explains why they don't show you a demo with an AE and they barely let you use the platform before buying - they know it will hurt their closing rates. Also, I don't know what type of campaign is in the "done" section, because they don't add the title to the ticket. so everything that's done, looks the same. I add unique names myself as a comment, so I know what is what. I'm paying you for this service and at the end I'm doing it myself.

Honestly, had enough.
Honestly, just so sick and tired of paying for this and that at every turn. If you really want to use the platform in any meaningful way you have to use the pro version. And even then they'll ask you to pay to use AI, to pay for every little marketplace tool, paying for more modules, paying for additional automations. Really? You need to pay more for the exact reason they pull you in to sign up.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone
Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I'm working with someone who uses Monday.com. We're a startup so I was interested in potentially using it for our business (currently everything's in Notion). So far I've made a very basic Kanban board that immediately started glitching out in Chrome and became unusable. Live chat couldn't help, passed me to tech support who are still dealing with it. Then I made a board with a form (to allow users to submit tickets) and wanted to create an automation sending tickets from the form's board to other boards based on criteria (like bugs to a dev board) - all of this would take place within Monday.com (board to board), something I'm currently able to do in Notion easily. This costs automation "credits" and despite my account showing we've only used 111/250 in the month, I am unable to make new automations because I've hit the account limit. Again: live chat to tech support because live chat had no idea. Now tech support are telling me we'e used 1800 runs this month, yet I can't see that anywhere (as an admin) in their usage reporting. I'm wasting precious time not revamping our dev process because I'm waiting for Monday.com to become usable. Live chat is awful because it's an AI bot that you have to try to get past to get to a human. The interface isn't great. The feature set isn't great. Layout options are limited. All in all, I'm unimpressed.

Not useful for project management
Not useful for project management. Lack of features and lack of usability.

Useless for project management
Imposed by my company and for my work, Project management, is completely useless. You can do nothing and the simplest functions are not available because they are not implemented. Don’t waste money on this software. I just use a common spreadsheet (we all know the name) and works much faster and easier.

"you will be blocked" - Every Employee. Every Day. For 6 Month.
We used Monday.com at the heart of our Project management. Until we decided to switch to another tool due to to many limitations we bumped into on Monday.com. Therefore we canceled the yearly subscription, with the resulting message EVERY single Employee of the company has to see not EVERY sindgle Day for the rest of our usage period showing: "Your plan's renewal has been cancelled and you will be blocked on May 8, 2026.Customer support said the only solution for me would be to undo the cancelation. Just confirms our decision to move away from Monday.com after some very promising first years.

Watch for auto-renew scam....
Service auto-renews with no email notification. By the time I noticed the payment had gone through, I was not able to get a refund because I was out of the 30-day window. Scam.

Don’t make our mistake
Passed us onto a 3rd party on their approved list to build a custom planner in their platform. Failed to deliver the build as per the brief, prior to testing it Monday threatened to close the platform if we didn’t pay the £7,000 subscription fee which would then lose all our of data so we would have paid the 3rd party approx £7,000 for nothing. Mis-selling and sharp practice to the extreme. Our dedicated Monday advisor hasn’t even been in touch to sort any issues out. Having to go down the legal route to recover the £14,000. Please don’t put yourself through the same experience we did.

Best for Teams
I have been using Monday for couple of months now. I started with the free trial and I have been happy with it ever since. The tools are super easy to use and mostly how smoothly me and my team integrate and work together. It is a bit expensive but hey, nothing comes close to Monday when it comes to managing projects. And they always keep on updating the features.

Bait and switch
After a two-week trial, I subscribed to monday.com’s Basic Plan expecting the same functionality I tested. Immediately after payment, key features were removed and I was prompted to upgrade to the much more expensive Pro Plan to regain them.Since the Pro Plan was not affordable for my business, I requested a cancellation right away. Despite not using the service, customer support refused a full refund and kept part of the first month’s payment, citing company policy. This experience felt misleading and disappointing. I would not recommend monday.com to small or budget-conscious businesses.
