Spectre of the Gun
Of all the ranges I’ve used and rented from, Mag’s is the most professional so far. That is, their procedures for new customers. As most ranges offer classes for proper gun ownership and use, Mag’s requires an orientation for new renters. Obviously they want to promote a learning environment rather than just collect the rental fees and sell ammo. It’s the type of ethics that encourages repeat business. During my two visits, I noticed many older citizens using the range and taking more advance coursework as well. My purpose was to rent and shoot full auto, an experience I’ve not had since the military, and a privilege I’ll never know as long as I’m a CA resident. My time at Mag’s were enjoyable and the prices were very reasonable. As a lifetime NRA member, I give Mag’s high marks and hope there’s other such ranges that follow this example. Their approach has they’ve added to my gun knowledge. If you want to own, they have a fairly good inventory also, with reasonable prices. Lastly, now that I’ve shot all their full-autos, I may use the indoor archery range.
