Thoughtfully curated
The kits are always so thoughtfully put together. I recently got the women's rights kit and it included a book about the suffrage movement that has taught me as much as it's taught my kids!

I love the kits they send out. I always find them very well written and put together. Plus, the books are a great addition to my kids' collection!
I wholeheartedly support Little Justice Leaders because of their crucial role in shaping young minds. As an educator, I understand the importance of reaching children early to foster conversations about race, gender, sexuality, disability and other important topics. Little Justice Leaders provides invaluable resources in the form of weekly activity boxes, tailored for elementary-aged kids, families, and educators. These kits not only engage children in fun and educational activities but also empower them to develop empathy, critical thinking skills, and a sense of social justice. Little Justice Leaders' work is essential in creating a more inclusive and equitable society for future generations, and I'm proud to support their mission.
I have been an admirer of Little Justice Leaders for a number of years. Our first box had just right materials for our family. The supplemental supports that accompany the book were thoughtful and applicable. Would definitely reccomend 💖
We received a gifted kit on celebrating neurodiversity. My 12 year loved the book and additional resources included as he is learning about himself and how his brain thinks differently.
Little Justice Leaders has been expanding my teaching practice through their choice of books and activity ideas that accompany the book.
We were lucky enough to be gifted a box and couldn't have been happier. There are activities/lessons for every age ( even for adults!) and we love that they collaborate with activists, educators and creators that have lived in experience in the themes addressed. Some of the topics are sensitive and so I am thankful to see someone approach it from a respectful and gentle manner.
I've been receiving the LJL boxes for years now and used the materials, books, and supplementals in my classroom many times. The content is always curated with care, attention, and research. On the rare occasions where Shelby realizes there was an inaccuracy, or a resource shared turned out to not be in line with the messaging, she always quickly issues a correction and apology. LJL is the very model of know better, do better. As much as I've immersed myself in social justice learning to pass onto my students so they grow into empathetic humans who leave the world better than they found it, there's always more to learn and LJL helps me get there.
Engaging, informative, important. I read this book with gr 7 and 8 students and it led to some wonderful conversations about a tough topic. My students learned so much and asked such good questions.
I've always struggled with making social justice content developmentally appropriate for my younger students. Little Justice Leaders has helped me with this and I appreciate the content and information they are providing for our youngest students!
I cancelled all other kid and teacher subscriptions I had tried and this is the only subscription box I've kept for years! I've loved the diversity and learning it brings to my home and classroom. Customer service is amazing and I've never had anything less than a 5star experience.
The resources were amazing! I am currently working on an inquiry project with my students and they love the book we received and there are so many helpful teaching supports. My class enjoyed the discussion questions that were included with our package as well and it really got my students to think critically about ocean conservation.
The little justice leaders book and materials were excellently curated. My daughter was really excited to get the package and read the book with me as well as talk through some of the activities. I’ve take the book and materials to my school counselor for her resources so she can share with our students. She was thrilled to have the book and materials. It is hard to find such a great package on social justice issues made just for children. Little Justice Leaders fills that gap!
The kit and book answered many questions my students had and were incredibly engaging! Not once did my students appear bored or uninterested.
Little Justice Leaders is fantastic! I have been receiving their boxes for five years and am always impressed with the book and activity choices. They always partner with someone that has lived experience in the identity/culture the box is exploring, and it is always evident how much careful consideration they put into every part of the box. These boxes have helped me have great conversations with my kids as well as given them age appropriate ways to learn and ask questions. I’m always excited to see the box on the porch!
little justice leaders curate an educational, deeply thought through, and collaborative experience for both adults and children.
The resources were phenomenal and helped support the text. Everything was high quality and reinforced the racial/social/economic justice goals of my classroom.
I received a kit focused on Neurodiversity and it is incredible. From inclusive language guides, to well thought out lesson ideas, to a high quality mentor text, this kit was truly the best possible springboard to start what could be intimidating work.
I love that the book is written in poem format which makes it more comprehensible for our smallest learners. I also enjoyed the diversity of the children who were represented in the book. I also enjoyed the additional resources which I located by typing in the address (QR code didn't work for me).
I received a Little Justice Leaders kit for Civic Engagement that featured the book "No Voice Too Small". This is a great poetry book with so much representation of diverse voices. The kit came with great instruction on how to use the book and activities that can be used with kids to discuss civic engagement and how we all can make an impact on our communities. I also like how there were digital resources that go along with the content. I appreciated that it came with a resource card for adults that listed other resources related to civic engagement as well as tips for adults to help with their conversations with kids about getting involved in the community. This is a great resource for parents or anyone who works with kids!
