I AGREE WITH ANOTHER REVIEWER…WHY ALL THE BAD REVIEWS?

This company is top notch. Their Customer Care not only hears, but LISTENS! I had such a compassionate response and resolve to my issue today that I was astonished by it. I HATE to see these ROTTEN reviews. This company does not deserve this. I’m surprised to see this done to a company on Trustpilot. They have quality products and employees to match. I would give them 10 STARS if I could!

Best customer service experience in a long while

Why does King Arthur have such terrible reviews on this site? I just had such a positive experience with customer service that I felt compelled to write a review (I was actually looking to leave a Google review), when I saw this.I called about an order I placed in which I neglected to apply a coupon code. Even though it was too late to adjust my order, the customer service agent immediately offered to apply a refund in the amount of the coupon to my account.I love everything I buy from this store, and I've never had a problem before, so this is my first customer service experience. In this awful customer-unfriendly world we're living in today, where companies you buy from don't care whether their customers get good service or not, it was a PLEASURE to get an actual human on the phone, who spoke native English, was polite, professional, helpful, and concerned. AND solved my problem. Thank you, KA!

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company! Placed and order to later find out it is coming from 3 different location with 3 different delivery dates. No communications regarding split shipments, what specifically is coming which day, etc. Hard to plan baking around all over the place ship dates! I will never buy from them again! Customer rep had no explanation for this happening. Told me it wasn't his job to figure out shipping!

The King Should Abdicate

If the King Arthur Pull-Apart Garlic Bread is any indication of his monarchy, then it's no wonder Guinevere preferred Sir Lancelot! The yeast was either old or ineffective, because the bread didn't rise much, and no matter how much I kneaded that dough, it didn't get soft and pull apart (more like force to break apart) and it didn't bake the way the picture on the package implied; the pieces of dough didn't rise together, they stayed apart and formed biscuits instead; the kind the army used to refer to as "hard tack".There was no expiration date on the package (not surprised) but since I ordered it online, I wouldn't have been able to check that out anyway, but I learned my lesson! I'll NEVER order anything King Arthur online again, and most likely not in the store, either.

False advertising

King Arthur advertises 20% off 1st order if you text over a code and sign up. The issue is nowhere on the ad is it mentioned that I would not be able to use the offer for an appliance purchase (which was the whole reason I signed up). I pointed out the issue to the company along with sending them information from FTC on false advertising and requested they honor the 20%. They refused. They did offer $15.00 off after a week of back and forth which I found insulting because I was going to purchase a machine for $799.00. I did however go to Ooni’s site and found they have a 10% off promo and it does apply to the item I needed. Ooni also clearly lists its promo terms. I now own the Ooni and it works great. Oh, and we switched to Bobs Red Mill Flour.

Employee Owned But Doesn't Pay a Living Wage

As a long-time home baker, I’ve trusted King Arthur Flour for years, but unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. What was once a premium product has become increasingly inconsistent, making it difficult to rely on for precise baking. Their all-purpose flour now seems overly processed and lacks the rich texture and dependable performance it used to have. I’ve experienced uneven results in bread and pastry recipes that I’ve baked flawlessly for years—dense loaves, flat cakes, and disappointing textures.Additionally, the flour tends to clump and absorb moisture too easily, even when stored properly, suggesting poor packaging or changes in milling. For a brand that charges a premium and prides itself on consistency, this is unacceptable. While the marketing still emphasizes artisan values and a legacy of excellence, the reality feels more like cost-cutting and corner-cutting. I’ve since switched to other brands, mainly Bob's Red Mill, that are not only more affordable but offer far more reliable results. Sadly, King Arthur no longer lives up to its reputation.

I love this flour but am becoming…

I love this flour but am becoming increasingly frustrated with the pricing. It’s expensive and then it’s only filled about half way. I get this flour because I have a gluten intolerance but at this point don’t want to break the bank.

Frustrated

I love King Arthur. However, the only product I bought and had shipped to my house on repeat had been discontinued and I am not sure as to why. I used the ‘King Arthur Baking Alternative’ religiously in my baked goods. It is what has helped me with my diet. Every other baking alternative I have tried that is sweetened with monkfruit, allulose, erythritol, or/and stevia has a weird aftertaste. I finally found this one and now it has been discontinued for a reason I am not aware of. I contacted king arthur brand and they said they aren’t allowed to reveal the reasoning as of why. I heard it was such a popular product and that is why I am so confused and frustrated.

I have only had good experiences using King Arthur baking company. I like their products and their customer service is awesome! They are very quick to respond to issues, I just received a cake pan that I was going to use as a gift, it came with a scratch on it, I reached out to the company and they are replacing the item, told me to keep the scratched item, donate it, or throw away. It doesn't get better than that!!

don't trust labels on their products

I purchased 24 heart shaped baking pans from their website to be used as gifts for a bridal shower. Two large boxes arrived and I opened them and there were two boxes inside, each labeled to include 6 pans. I put it away, relying on their labeling, and today when I met with the other shower hosts, we opened and to our surprise and horror, each box only contained 3 pans--we are short 12 pans and the shower is the following weekend (out of town). I immediately contacted their customer service and they were sold out. They gave me my money back for the missing pans but nothing else. Now I am scrambling to purchase 12 pans at an increased cost. Any other time when a company makes a mistake, and this one is a BIG and EXPENSIVE one, they find a way to make good and make the customer happy. As far as I am concerned, they did the bare minimum by refunding for the unsent pans. Any other company that wants to keep their customers would have offered something more for THEIR mistake. Don't bother and don't trust

King Arthur Flour ridiculous shipping charges

I ordered an appliance from King Arthur website that was advertised with free shipping. At the same time I ordered a jar of sourdough starter. I was charged $10 for shipping a 50 gram jar in the same box as the appliance!I emailed and chatted live with customer service (inappropriately named) and was told that this is their company policy. They offer free shipping on appliances to incent customers to purchase more expensive items. They offset that shipping cost by charging shipping for everything else, EVEN IF IT'S ORDERED AT THE SAME TIME AND SHIPPED IN THE SAME BOX.This is what I was told by two reps. King Arthur would rather make $10 than credit shipping for the sake of retaining a customer. Don't buy from the King Arthur baking website.

King Arthur does not make good on its promise

My husband wants an item that costs $219.95. King Arthur baking company has a promo 20% off if you give them your email and phone number.King Arthur will not give me 20% off on this over $200 item, and there is no customer service available to talk to. I need to send them a question, and wait up to 2 hours for an answer, that's the only option. Since I need to get it ordered now, I will take my business to Amazon, and pay the same price (without 20% off).Highly disappointed. King Arthur, you lose.

Great products, baking supplies, and recipes!

King Arthur Baking Company (formerly known as King Arthur Flour) is amazing. Their recipes (such as the gluten free sandwich bread) are consistently outstanding, as is the range of products they offer. Over the years I've purchased, among other things, a scale, a thermometer, and four bins for the various flours I routinely keep on hand. Everything they offer is well thought out and works well. And their flours and yeasts and flavorings are consistently flawless. That they are a well-established employee-owned company is, to my mind, a bonus.
