Just what I ordered
If this is the House of Timber based in Blackpool UK, I would just like to say how pleased I am with the two large planters I received. They were made to my specifications to specifically grow roses in and needed to be large because roses are very hungry plants. This is a small company, and because the planters are made to order we expected to have to wait a while, which turned out to be just over fortnight. There was a misunderstanding between suppliers and DX, but Andrew sorted it and the planters arrived the next day, well packed and in excellent condition. I am delighted with them, and would not hesitate to use this company again. Excellent value for money. Many thanks, Pauline

I read the reviews about this company before deciding to purchase from them.Some of the reviews weren't very good but I decided to go ahead anyway & purchase a deluxe 6ft planter.It was delivered to me just over 2 weeks later which was fine as I know they are made to order.In the description it says it will have nickel case corners on it...however mine arrived without any on. One thing I will say about this company is that their correspondence is zilch!I have emailed them 3 times & rang once & left my telephone number & have had no response whatsoever.Thats the reason for giving them 1 star.I have given up now & ordered some nickel case corners to put on it myself.House of timber you really do need to get your act together & be more responsive to your customers!

Excellent Products
Excellent, quality 6ft planters.Very happy with them and looking forward to bringing them to life with some nice plants.I have read a lot of reviews that say this company is a scam but they are not. You just need to understand these are not off the shelf and take time to be made and delivered as their website states.Mine took 2 weeks to be delivered which is reasonable.

Better than some reviews would lead you to believe
Ordered on 24/8/24, received 6/9/24. The planter is excellent, very sturdy. I calculated the costs to make the same thing myself and it simply wasn't worth it.I did see the negative reviews and went for it anyway (used PayPal). My experience is yes you don't get an order acknowledgment and no it won't be a super fast delivery - I could wait and therefore it was a great price for a quality planter. Like another reviewer here I suspect it is a very small company with high numbers of orders due to good pricing, possibly even building to order.If you don't need it immediately I say go for it.

I ordered from these guys back in June… scoring my experience is difficult!, Their customer service is tragic and I think they only contact you when you sound desperate!! :o)However, eventually I had a call from Andrew (when I had given up all hope, triggered PayPal, and presumed I’d been scammed!)… he was really nice and told me my planter would arrive in two days… I was gobsmacked having waited 9 weeks!! I had the same ‘reason’ as others for non delivery but, as Andrew stated, it arrived at my doorstep 24 hours later! I would give them 5* for my planter… it’s very well made and amazing value!So… here is my theory… I think they are a relatively small company who do everything themselves. As their price is virtually unbeatable there are inundated with orders and, as a result, its a bit overwhelming so they choose not to confirm a delivery… if they stated on their site it may take two months they would lose business as we all live in a ‘can get/expect it tomorrow’ society!So, in conclusion… would I order from them again…DEFINITELY! However, I would do so in the knowledge that I may wait a while… so don’t use if you’re in a rush! ;o)

BEWARE SCAM SITE!!
BEWARE SCAM SITE!!Ordered wooden bird feeder. Nothing arrived. All emails, texts etc ignored until Paypal mentioned and then a response. Kept saying item had been sent then another had been sent and then another but they weren't arriving. Even said they had used Evri but no tracking, no dispatch notification and no notification from Evri to say they were expecting parcel like they always do. Total lies from start to finish. Thankfully used PayPal and my money was refunded instantly. Their site should be closed down as there would be no refund if I had paid with my debit card and a long wait if I had paid with my credit card. Thank goodness for Paypal.

Scam company
Scam company, ordered 2 items never delivered. No response to chaser emails or calls. Thank god for PayPal buyer protection. Do not buy from this company.

I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed. Ordered a £75 planter on 6 July, told it would take 3 days. Still waiting. Received one response after two weeks that it would arrive but it didnt. Now having to obtain redress thro Paypal and get my money back.
