Gullands Solicitors are not to be trusted. Alex Astley acted as the solicitor to the estate of my late grandfather. He acted in a conflicted position from the outset. Blair Gulland was reported to the SRA for "unacceptable behaviour" by the Legal Ombusdsman and this resulted in a sanction for "significant misconduct." Alex Astley was the supervising solicitor. Mr Astley also distributed funds from the Gullands client account without agreed executor instructions and this included for his own fees. Fortunately, the Legal Ombudsman has helped recover a large proportion of these fees. I advise you against using Gullands Solicitors. If you have a complaint John Roberts and Philip Grylls will try and cover it up.
