Huge deteriorattiin in quality lately. We now have to call engineers almost every month to fix one of the 10 appliances we have from them it's crazy and then it only lasts a year and then they have to come again. I don't know where those parts are from but cannot be even China because the Chinese stuff is not so bad.
Like their products out of specs and design. But, the product quality is poor. Design and customer service qualifies for two stars, but the products unfortunately not. There are issues within the guarantee period and after. These products should really last, but do not. I have had these issues:• my overall experience is that you will have issues with Gaggenau. Service attendant visit is NOK 2540 these days (EUR 225) and all spare parts are additional• malfunctioning touch panel for cooking top• oven broke after 10 years. A long time? One should expect more. • two new cooking tops had regular switches. Came with four – and I have bought 6 new (!). That is; for one top, we are running the third set now• fan opener mechanism gradually failed• new oven always had issues with electronics. It is 14 years old, now. Maybe time to say goodbye. On the other hand; why not last 10-15 more years? These are top range products. No spare part availabilityAlways met friendly service people on the phone. They forgot to call med back and there is a waiting time, but that is within tolerable limits. Felt like sharing my experiences. Would never have chosen this brand except of the visual design.
Andrea is absolutely incredible! I have never received such amazing customer service. She is a brilliant service engineer and I would only buy Gaggenau again based on the wonderful customer service I received from her. Thank you Andrea for the best customer experience U have ever received!
I have been waiting for a replacement part for my stove for over three months. I was scheduled for a service appointment today between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., but no technician showed up, and I did not receive any call, text, or notification.I contacted customer service twice today and was told both times that I was still on the schedule for today’s appointment. However, at 2:20 p.m., I received an email informing me that my appointment had been rescheduled to a new date without any explanation.
We have renovated / built 3 different houses. First two times we went for Miele products, which were faultless. For some reason we allowed the kitchen company to convince us to switch to Gaggenau for the latest house and it is fair to say that this was the worst decision we have ever made. The engineer has been out so often that we now have his personal number and know him by name. The oven has had 3 major faults in 5 years (and is now very badly rusting internally), the gas hob flickers on and off constantly and if anyone ever suggests you to buy a Gaggenau coffee machine, you should run for the hills at speed. Genuinely terrible products, ridiculously expensive aftercare and a pale imitation of Miele. Joke company.
It seems that my review is one of many on the same topic. I live in NYC in a building with 24/7 doorman and a super. I bought a pair of Gaggenau oven 4 years ago. They stopped working in July. I called BSH on Aug 1st. First availability was September 2nd. Technician came and diagnosed it was the mother board. Why did it stop functioning after 4 years of little to no use is a mystery. Follow up appointment was scheduled to Sep 18. Technician didn’t come. He did call to apologize the next day and suggested I called BSH to reschedule. Which I did. Next appointment was October 13th. Again the technician didn’t show. But this time he claimed he did come although the doorman (nor the security cameras, nor the intercom) has any recollection. Next availability is … Nov 1st. I might as well start enjoying raw food.
I recently contacted Gaggenau customer service and was assisted by Michael, who was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled when it came to explaining the parts I needed — his advice saved me money on calling out an engineer and helped me source a stable, effective replacement instead. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with genuine care for the customer’s experience, but that’s exactly what I received. This level of expertise and support is exactly why you choose Gaggenau.
I spent nearly $50,000 on Gaggenau appliances. From day one, three were defective: • The steam oven has never worked. • The warming drawer malfunctioned. • The induction hob had a faulty ring.Over the following months, I was given contradictory updates and empty promises: • I was told appliances had shipped, only to later be told they were still “in transit.” • I was promised items would “ship later that week,” then told they were “out of stock until October.” • Most astonishingly, a senior executive even suggested I try to buy a warming drawer myself from a local supplier and seek reimbursement.Despite escalation all the way to senior executives, including the Head of Contact Centers and their designated liaison, I am still without functioning appliances. Responsibility is endlessly passed to carriers, contractors, and “tariffs,” but never owned by Gaggenau. For a brand built on precision, accountability, and luxury, this experience has been extraordinary — not for excellence, but for its failure at every level.
We live in the Fort Worth area of Texas and purchased our stove top units from an upscale dealer in Southlake. From purchase to installation to requiring service repair; our journey has been fraught with no resolution in sight! We purchased the unique Gaggeneau stovetop inserts. One unit is induction, the other is gas burners. Unbeknownst to me (until the first problem arose) I can only request service from the Irvine Ca location. This issue was reported in April of 2025. My most recent unresolved call for the same issue was today- Sept 12,2025. I must most vigorously state Gaggeneau company should not be a consideration regarding your future purchases!
Our refrigerator with code RB472305 broke down as of the beginning of June 2025. After a two-months long service evaluation, it turned out to be no repair. The fridge worth 1,070,000 TL., became trash after a very short period of use. Since they could not repair it, they said that they could give a new one for half the normal price (taking only the usage fee), that is, 530,000 TL. Meanwhile, we found out that the product was sold in the store for 750,000 TL, and since the price that they offer us, was actually much more than half, we did not accept their demands. This time they dropped to 400,000 TL. However, even this last price is also not half price of the product. If we were to repurchase a defective product after an extremely unsuccessful service and a 2-months time with out a fridge, we would probably not repeat the same mistake. The post-purchase support of a product sold for these amount is ridiculous . Think twice before buying this brand.
We just moved in to a rental property which is 2.5 years old in HK. Gaggeneau oven and steam ovens were installed in our development. Total of 3 buildings. I tried to use the steam oven when i moved in. Doesn't work. Error E0005. I asked several neighbours, all of them told me that everyone had issues with their steam oven when they moved in. Building management told me the same thing. Unfortunately my landlord never used her's so was not aware of the issues. Now it is passed the warranty local supplier want to charge GBP 100 just to come out to check even though they knew it was a known systematic problem with the steam ovens. When I then asked around the residence whether it was worth getting it fixed, everyone told me it was pointless as it breaks all the time. Your local supplier is giving you a bad reputation. Don't know where they went and sourced all these faulty ovens from. Nobody in our buildings uses their steam ovens. Everyone's given up on getting them constantly fixed. Add: Just to add from my review from 20th May. I have now heard from local HK supplier who basically repeated what they said and that they need to charge for coming to check the over plus any parts. The oven that has never worked. So i have resolved myself to just not using the oven like the rest of the residents in this 3 block of flats. Each block has around 60 floors and I have not come across one person who says their steam oven is working. In fact, everyone I have met have told me not to bother fixing it because it basically keeps breaking so it's pointless. I have no idea where your local supplier has found these faulty ovens or what they have done with the installation.
Worst service ever. We purchased multiple appliances from Gaggenau (over $200,000) and when we required service for our coffee and wine fridge, the technicians failed to show multiple times, didn't even knock on the door and left while we waited weeks for them to schedule appointments. The coffee maker does not drain properly to this day and we have had a lot of issues with it.
How can something so expensive be such poor quality? We replaced our kitchen a few years ago and fully kitted it with Gaggenau products, at vast expense. I have to say the the ovens are great and we love them - despite some problems with the doors, now fixed. However, within about 5 years we have replaced the fridge (chronic condensation issues), the £4,500 hob (control unit and now power unit) and after three repairs and replacement parts, we are now going to replace the dishwasher (touch controls do not respond to touch). That's about £8k worth of equipment binned within 5 years. The after-sales support is ok (i.e. they pick up the phone and book engineer visits), however availability for a visit is poor and we have to wait weeks for any investigative/repair work, they often have to make multiple visits (so we went for 3 months without the hob before I lost patience and threw it in the skip, replacing it with a Miele), and it is extremely expensive to pay for repairs. We are really disappointed with the quality of the kit and have now replaced it.
We purchased two ovens (BOP250 and BSP270) last year. Unfortunately, both of them went out of order in their first year of usage. BOP250 didn't lock its door for the cleaning cycle from the very beginning. It was repaired and then fully stopped working 3 months after the control panel was replaced. However, it is only half of the problem. Another story is absolutely unacceptable Gaggenau aftersales service. I lost count of how many times I had to call them to get my ovens serviced and then replaced. After a month of living without any working oven at home I still have no result to my requests, not even timeframe for their services. Unfortunately, I can't recommend anybody neither Gaggenau product, no their service.
We bought the Gaggenau in Catania, Sicily. We have spent 12.000€ in 4 Gaggenau kitchen modules. There are some parts that they included that cost 500€ that are useless, impossible to install. Gaggenau Germany do not accept that we send them back. Why is that? They are brand new, still in the package. We can’t even install them. There is a design error plus the authorized dealer also made an error. No one is acknowledging responsibility.
By far the worst quality product ever experiencedI have the coffee machine, always gives errros, never work.Never ever buy this
DO NOT BUY GAGGENAU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We are on our third in wall plumbed coffee machine and waiting for another replacement. So far NO response from Gaggenau. The second and third machines had exactly the same problem. We had the same Miele machine in two previous locations and it worked PERFECTLY. Do NOT buy GAGGENAU. It is a complete nightmare. We also have the ovens and they are very counter intuitive. Very difficult to use. Miele is SO much superior. Never a problem and easy to use with perfect results. Why did we buy Gaggenau? Because the kitchen designer said to. We were so stupid.
Their dishwasher was faulty and broke after 2 weeks, when an engineer came to fix it he caused over £9000 worth of damage plus chipped my £20,000 quartz worktop. Their “serious incidence” manager offered a £300 settlement! Disgusting company, do not purchase products, not only is their customer service terrible, their engineer workmanship is disgusting and their products have faulty parts! In the process of logging a small claim against them.
I would rate at 0 if possible I own a gaggenau bs281610 combi steam oven with the same defect which occurred 3 times. The glass lens in front of the halogen bulb cracks from the heat of the bulb and the heat and steam from the oven cavity. Once this happens it cross out the main board which is not protected. Very expensive appliance now there are no more main boards available for a known problem. Gaggenau offered me an unacceptable offer of 40% off a replacement at $6000 cost. This is a bad design and known to Gaggenau and they should of prepared properly instead they choose not to care. Why spend 4 times what their competitors charge for horrible results from service. Stay with products like Sub / Wolf or Miele where they put the customer first and always have parts.Thumbs down for Gaggenau which for most of their products are just a dressed up Bosch except for cooking products
