My entire experience was positive. My main contact was Michael Lunde. He was prefessional, knowledgeable and a fine person to work with. I highly recommend Michael Lunde and Finance of America if you are considering a reverse mortgage.

I received enough money to help me improve many things in my childhood home. It is nice to know that I had enough benefit to update and improve my home. I could not have done it without this company. I have a lot of good memories of this home that had been built in 1922 by family for family, I think it was a good investment for me.

From my first phone call to find out how reverse mortgage worked, Jeff Peters walked me through every step of the way till the end. No matter how many times I called him, he was always gracious and always called me back with the answers I needed. Couldn't have done it without him.
It was very pleasant to confer with Kelly Wallace in setting up my reverse mortgage. His guidance and expertise was valued so much. Also, Samantha Weeks assisted me in providing all the necessary documentation.

Good until it wasn't.. FOA was supposed to pay my Homeowners , looked like they took first payment at close.. after calling multiple times to get clarification, then a cancellation notice from my insurance company, I paid it myself... I have never received a call back from FOA agents to answer my question, they just want their commissions.
My experience was as easy as possible, and I was in contact with my agents all of the time.
I did enjoy my experience with Finance of America; however, I did get a little frustrated because everything was happening through the holidays. It happened slower than expected. I could not get responses in a timely manner or receive the closing when expected. But in the end, I was serviced. And overall I would recommend Finance of America to friends & family.
Staff really cared about the customer and the work they do. They made the process easy. If you have to sell and move, this could be a way to stay in your home. It is a great solution for us.
