Worst experience of my life

I am an ex-tenant at Courtyard Off Main Apartments in Bellevue, WA. This is the worst management I've ever dealt with.They are completely apathetic and ignore every complaint.Safety Issues They Won't Fix:- Monthly fire alarms (detectors stupidly placed by kitchen)- Regular garage break-ins - zero security response- Packages stolen constantly - they do nothing- No emergency contact number- No on-site management everNoise Hell:- Multiple trash trucks 3-7am during the week- Restaurants smashing glass bottles nightly- Delivery trucks at all hours of the day- Drunk people yelling and smoking- Vacuum trucks- Leaf blowersOther Bullshit:- Trash chute clogged constantly- Reeking garbage smell from restaurants- 10% rent increase every year- Gym is tiny with bad equipmentDocumented everything. They don't care.Absolute worst living experience of my life.Do not rent with them

Extremely Disappointed by Unlawful…

Extremely Disappointed by Unlawful Towing and Lack of AccountabilityI’m current tenant in Essex Mylo Santa Clara and my vehicle was towed from the private garage after hours, without authorization from management. I had temporarily parked in another resident’s assigned space to unload heavy items and was not blocking access or violating safety rules.Although the lease does not permit resident-initiated towing, management later claimed such actions were allowed and failed to provide clear documentation or offer reimbursement for the tow.This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. As a resident, I expected a more transparent, policy-based, and customer-focused approach to conflict resolution.

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. Don't ever rent from these heartless bastards. Their properties are nice and they offer a lot of attention when applying. Once you're in...good luck hearing from them. Every property will have dog feces and urine in the hallways, common areas, and even right outside your door. Then they'll you to report it when you ask why maintenance doesn't clean it up. Or when you ask what they're doing to prevent tenants from being so gross. "That's the price you pay for living at these type of properties." - Area Manager. They will nickel and dime you when you move out. They will charge you a cleaning and painting fee, regardless of how clean you leave your apartment. Their employees are the worst, too. All they do is tell you to look at your lease, which is 30 pages long, when you complain about anything.

Tried to hike our rent $600 dollars without any notice. Had to chase them down and go bang on their door to confront them about.

I paid application fee and after that…

I paid application fee and after that they said the unit, I tried to apply was already rented so I have to find another unit. They won't return your application fee this is borderline scam.

Horrible company and management

Horrible company and management. This is a first of the kind. They have NO physical office for 1000s of appartments and have no means to contact they short of voice mail and emails.1. They charge various extra charges, never agreed to and with NO billing or no justification. There is no messages about these charges 2. No real means to end tennacy since they are NO replying to messages3. Please contact me if you experienced the same issues. I am trying to file class action case. 650-3838070

Don’t waste your money trying to move. To this cheap building

Have you ever heard of the cheap seats? Security is weak and management is sorry. I’m sorry that I chose this place to live. The garage is filthy and unsafe. Spiders and spiderwebs are just there for years now. The garages have no real working cameras in places that really count. The homeless tenants break in cars regularly while security waits in the TV room with the lights out hiding from everybody. Homeless people live in the gym bathroom at night and there is really no way to secure the building, so says management. All major entrances have been broken into so none of the doors look original, they all look Mickey Moused by a incompetent maintenance team. No trash cans are in the garages so you will never take trash from your car to the trash can unless you walk it 500 feet away to the dumpster ( removed all the trash cans by the elevators to keep the homeless from digging through it). Imagine two years with no trash cans in the garage. Either the maintenance staff or security are stealing bikes because they have a camera in the bike room but they have no footage of my bike being stolen. They’re idea of fixing something is by throwing paint at it. They paint everything and fix nothing. It took two years to fix the Fiji building elevator. The hall ways reek with secondhand smoke. They have a no smoking policy but they don’t enforce it. Cigarette smoke engulfs the air of hallways leading to my unit. If you’re ever late on the rent they’ll pick on you and remove your property without warning. They do t take in consideration of the tenant rights and laws of California. The apartments build up mildew because the way most of the units are designed: no air circulation occurs. The units only have a single sliding door and one small bedroom window. Towels smell like mildew because the bathrooms have no window to creatcirculation. All neighbors are bunched up on top of each other and every balcony faces someone else’s bedroom. My neighbors can literally hear me fart. We can hear each other’s most intimate moments. The worse thing I’ve done in a long time was move here to this Fiji building. Most of the staff is nice but it doesn’t take away from how unprofessional and incompetent they actually are. Danielle the tenant coordinator is not at all helpful at all Daniel the the operations manager is worse than her. He’s a condescending jerk of a guy to talk to. After I complained to him he said thanks for making him listen. That was sarcastic and disrespectful. He’s a piece of work. Shukura Smith has no intention on getting back to you, following up with you or anything that represents helping resolve a customer service issue. I feel sorry for future tenants. The smell of dog Poop lingers in the air. At every staircase the actual stench of dog’s crap is there waiting for you to inhale. Drug addicted meth and heroin addicts roam the property at will. I’ve e seen naked men in the garages at night just chilling. My car has been broken in to and they gym bathroom smells like skid row. The parking garages are very easy to get into and no one in management seems to care. Basically, the Marina Del Rey & Lincoln and Fiji properties are unsafe. They refuse to spend money on real security guards. Packages are regularly stolen and mail boxes are always getting broken into. God forbid you have to use the front lobby bathroom, it’s forever locked because homeless continue to make the entire facility a homestead. I would seriously think twice about moving to this property. Girls and students are definitely unsafe here after 7:30 p.m. If you live by the loading docks it’s worse than you can imagine or I describe. This maybe the cheapest property on the block or within the entire community of Marina Del Rey so in essence you get what you pay for. Whatever we saved by choosing this apartment we lost in the bike room the car break in and the peace of mind we lost from all of the second hand smoke we continue to inhale. Lastly, they cut the chain and lock to my bbq pit and hid it from me and said it was a fire hazard. In the meantime someone has a bbq pit on their balcony. I believe they tried to steal it and when I made a fuss they hid it in an electrical room. If it was a fire hazard why would you leave it in an electrical room and why tell me or ask me to move by leaving me an email or a actual physical note? Obviously I’m upset by this unfair and unprofessional behavior and treatment towards me, my family and my property. I dont care what the lease says lyou can’t just single one tenant out. All policies must apply to all tenants. I use my bbq for event vending so I was forced to throw a lot of food (money) away when they removed and hid my bbq pit from me. They caused me an enormous amount of stress and anxiety and anger and disappointment. No manager should be able to cut my chain and locks without telling me first. Will see you in court
