Expect Lies, Unprofessionalism, & Incomplete work

know not to ask people to sign papers for work that isn't finished. The contractor should also ask permission before they get too comfortable in a client's bathroom. None of them asked to sit on our toilets and handle their business. That is very unprofessional of them.We repeatedly tried to reach Tim the salesman to resolve the issue. When he finally returned our call, there was no sense of urgency, despite the inconvenience we were dealing with. What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Instead of owning the mistake and trying to make things right, Tim attempted to shift blame. This situation exists solely because of improper measuring and poor follow-up.I now understand why Empire has so many low ratings. I would not recommend them to anyone.Update: they replied below to say "reach out to them". We've done that repeatedly. They deprioritized completing our project to go out on new projects. We are having to wait at least until Saturday until they send a team out to finish the job. First they told us Wednesday. On Wednesday they pushed it back until Saturday. We have no idea if they will show up or not. So I will keep posting reviews until they show up.

Dishonest Employee and Company

Dishonest company, salesman Brent Blazquez Jauregui, came out gave us an estimate for over-$10 K , said he will email it to us , he never did, we called several times and the customer service said they will inform him , still no estimate. He wanted to know how we made our money, what kind of car we drive, he was asking about a painting if it’s expensive, then Brent got angry when he realized we were video taping him and had cameras, he wanted us to turn off our cameras, we said NO, he said he have rights in our house, never turned off your cameras for strangers, always video with phone or cameras .SCAM AND FRAUDULENT COMPANY

Empire Today is the worst of the worst!

We paid over $10k for LVP flooring in our house. Not even 9 months later, one of the planks began to rot up against the wall. After painfully requesting a rep come out and review the rotting plank, it took several weeks before they finally returned with a response. They were NOT going to honor the warranty and repair the damage, claiming that our 17 year old arthritic dog, who can barely hold himself up, must have clawed at the plank, destroying it. Absolutely despicable customer service and a complete violation of the warranty. I'd give them zero stars if that were an option; do yourself a favor and find another flooring company.

Spent over $10,000 on carpet that was sold as “high quality” and superior to our existing flooring. It was thin, flimsy, and looked dirty immediately. Installation was rushed and improper: bumps everywhere, jagged transitions, and visible defects on stairs.Installers left staples in the carpet while I had a crawling baby and toddler — a serious safety issue. Empire’s own inspection flagged all problems, but repairs were only partially done because they “ran out of carpet.”Two years later the carpet is worse. Scheduled a re-stretching appointment, waited all day, and no one showed up. Minimal apology, just asked to reschedule.Worst $10,000 I’ve ever spent. Misleading sales, unsafe installation, and zero accountability. Go local.

Extremely Disappointed

I purchased wall-to-wall carpeting from Empire Today for my 6,500 sq ft home, first floor 5 years ago, and second floor 4 years ago, and I deeply regret it. For the amount of money I spent, I expected durability, proper installation, and a company that stands behind its product. Instead, the carpeting is now buckling, warping, and lifting in multiple areas throughout my home. It looks terrible, it creates tripping hazards, and it completely undermines the purpose of investing in a “professional” install. To make matters worse, the links to the e-mail they sent me on 8/1/20, "Keep Important Information for your Records - Warranty," don't even work. And Empire refuses to repair or replace the problematic areas. They happily took the money upfront, but the moment there’s a real issue years later, the customer support disappears. It’s extremely frustrating that companies like this love to send surveys a few weeks after installation asking for “5-star feedback” — as if the true measure of quality is how it looks on day 30. The real test is how well the product endures after a few years of actual living, and unfortunately, Empire Today fails that test completely. A company’s commitment to quality should be judged over time, not just at installation. The carpet I had before this install was 20+ years old, and if it wasn't for the pile and color, I would have been better off keeping it, as it had endured over 20 years. If you’re considering Empire for carpeting, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It might look great for a month, but the real story begins after that — and it’s not worth the price, the hassle, or the lack of accountability.

I wish I could recommend this company…

I wish I could recommend this company but our experience was terrible. Sales person, Bobbie, had no clue what the installers actually do and did not explain what the final install would look like. Installers broke a piece of furniture. They tried to fix it with out saying anything and completely destroyed the piece. Bobbie promised to call us back to let us know what they were going to do for us but we havent heard from her. That was 4 days ago. Bobbie's managers didn't have time to give her a solution, they were too busy in meetings. You have to pay infull before the install is complete so Empire holds all the cards. They dont care about you or the vendors they hire. If you dont sign off on the job, they just dont pay their installers (who are subcontractor with crews that are not supervised unless you complain). Overall a terrible experience.

Sales rep experience was not good

Sales rep experience was not good at all. Things were missed appts not upheld. He did not explain the difference in the material. It wasn’t until the installers came and asked questions that we realized how much info was missed. Terrible experience.

The person who took measurements lied…

The person who took measurements lied about the best price. And the installer said I paid to much for the job and when I tried to cancel they said I couldn't cancel and I have to pay restocking fee of over $200.00. so I let him install the tiles: which wasn't all that good. I was really scammed on this flooring job.

I would avoid this company altogether. The product did not look the same once installed and the contractors did a poor job with us.

Terrible.

Terrible.Quoted job, salesman guaranteed doors would open/move. Nope. Now we have 2 unusable back porch doors. Our out of pocket for 2 doors that are usable...$1600, and that's with low grade/entry grade doors. They hide behind lawyers. The company worst I've encountered in my 68 years.

Great experience both sales and installation

Great experience with sales rep. He made sure I got what I needed and listened with utmost respect to my requirements. Installation was equally great. Quick and efficient with total professionalism.

Empire does not have good customer service

The first time I used Empire was to carpet 2 bedrooms all that went well. I would have used them for the third bedroom, but their quote was much higher than carpet spectrum. Next, I hired them to put laminate flooring on the upstairs hall and stairwell. The hallway went fine but the stairs were extremely noisy. I contacted Empire and spoke to "Amanda" She was not friendly or very helpful but did send the contractor back. The contractor blamed the noise on the stairway frame, but the frame did not make the noise until the laminate was installed. The contractor used a cutting tool to shave off the edges of the laminate which did very little if anything to quiet the stairs. The cutting did damage the paint and wood on the sides of the stairs. I had the entire area painted prior to the laminate being installed and touched up the area after the laminate was installed. Now it looks terrible and after several emails to "Lutanya" with empire and trying to contact "Amanda" no one from Empire will contact me back
