Horrible!
I am flying from the US to Europe very frequently over many decades, most times in business. On my last trip, I used premium economy from MCO to MUC, and regular economy for the return MUC-MCO. I have to say that1. Discover is the worst for the price for what you get in comfort - business seats are uncomfortable and narrow2. Premium economy is a joke - leg room and seat width is a tiny step up from reg. economy, the food in this class is horrible, the vanity kit comes in a clear plastic bag and contains socks, a tooth brush and eye shield3. The service in reg. economy is horrible, the flight attendants unfriendly, the bathroom has only cold water. 4. I overheard flight attendants spek of "Holzklasse" and "Viehtransport" (cattle transport) when talking about ecomomy class

Terrible service ,bad attitude, not friendly staff, luggage was over charged and l paid double because airlink south Africa also charged the same luggage.Worst experience ever. And food service was terrible jus one option and the server don't even ask you for option they jus save you whatever they have.

We had an excellent experience with Discover airlines. We flew Frankfurt to Windhok in late February 2026.I called them before and requested some seats for our family because we flew with two small kids. They were very responding booked the seats for us without additional cost and answered any questions.We were very worried about the flight , because of the Negative reviews we read about the airline. Check in luggage and boarding the plane. Everything was very friendly. The flight attendance were super helpful and nice.Kids receive activity books and cattle toys there are blankets and there are pillows and you get headphones. Aeroplane was new…that was actually the first time that all our four TV screens worked that never happened with Lufthansa or any other airline. food is okay.All our luggage arrived and we will definitely book Discover airlines without any hesitations again.

Downgrading from business class to…
Downgrading from business class to economy comfort on the flight from Fort Myers back to Frankfurt. Despite age 83 and thrombosis danger. According to other travellers, Discover is doing this downgrade on a regular basis, changing the airplane to a smaller one. Doing this intentionally means just cheating passengers. The compensation they offer, does not correspond with the total price of the flight paid of 3800.- Swiss Francs. Its just cheating

Terrible service. Reserved and paid for seat reservation not honoured. Staff helpful but could not allocate extra legroom seat booked. On first leg diabetic 12 year old child refused a second glass of water.

They will switch you out of your seats without permission
We booked bulkhead seats and we’re switched out of our seat without our permission or knowledge until the last minute. No new plane no new route. Just switched us out of our seats and still charged us for the bulkhead. Don’t use them.

Our flight was cancelled and rescheduled 24 hours later. I am still waiting for compensation and keep being fobbed off despite accepting their offer. They also lost my baggage on the rescheduled flight and looks like no compensation for this either. Steer clear of this airline, appalling service

Worst flight experience I have ever…
Worst flight experience I have ever had.Night flight from SEZ to FRA on an A330. First issue: almost no water at all. During the entire flight I received half a glass of cola. The cabin crew was visibly diluting drinks with water in front of passengers. Complete lack of responsibility for people coming straight from a tropical destination - no proper night cabin checks were done.The crew was rude and unhelpful, answering passengers in an arrogant manner.Food was a “vegan rice” dish tasting like burnt plastic bottle, with half a potato hidden under the rice. This cannot be called a meal – just a technical stomach filler.The aircraft was clearly worn out: my screen did not work, the wall panel by the window was creaking so badly that I had to hold it with my elbow for most of the night.I will never fly with Discover Airlines again.I would rather stay at home than take a vacation with this airline.

NEVER AGAIN DISCOVER AIRLINES
today 2/7/2026 -- flight cancelled , airline wanted to rebook me to Chicago ( originally booked to FT Myers, Florida and then having to check into hotel before flying on, etc) - they're nuts. Always a problem with this airline. Last times I flew with them flights were delayed more than 4 hours. NEVER AGAIN DISCOVER AIRLINES

Great flights from Frankfurt to Mombasa
Flew return flights from Frankfurt to Mombasa in January 2026, economy on the way out and premium economy on the way back. We had two excellent journeys, the staff were friendly, the toilets were clean and the food & entertainment were pretty good. I really like that the long haul planes are configured in a 2-4-2 formation in economy so if you are a couple you don't have a stranger sitting with you. You don't get alcohol in economy unless you pay extra but that's not a big deal for us. They came around offering water several times in the flight as well as other soft drinks during meals. I also enjoyed the complimentary warm cookie after our meal. We did pay extra to pick seats in the first few rows of economy which offer slightly more legroom and felt there was a decent amount of space (we're quite a tall couple). This is the second time we've flown this route and we will look to use Discover airlines again in the future.

Worst travel experience ever
Viking booked our flights and we thought we would be flying Lufthansa - instead we found ourselves on Discover Airlines for a transatlantic flight. We have never been so uncomfortable on a plane. There was NO legroom on our first flight so for our return flight we paid for seats with “extra legroom”. We may have gotten 3 more inches. Service and food were awful. Never again.

my flight to the final destination was delayed for 24 hours,after they rebooked the flight that i missed on january 16th for the next day,the 17th of january,i filled the complaint for a refund,and they had the guts to tell me that the delay was less than 3 hours,so ...no refund.24 hours delay means less than 3 hours to this despicable airline company.try to avoid at all cost this airline.

The only thing free is half a glass of water
After a cross atlantic flight with Lufthansa we boarded Discover Airlines to go to Madeira. Just to let travellers know don't expect anything more than half a glass of water free as everything else including more water has to be purchased. The other surprise was the entertainment system. You need to bring your own device and good luck making it work on their "cloud". I tried 3 browsers and they all had an issue. Even if it had worked there is no way to keep the batteries charged on your device (no plugs anywhere) and don't expect to bring a battery pack with you as the aircraft was filled already with a surplus of bags. Not what I expected for an airline that rose from the ashes of German Wings!

Our check in agent, Carrie, working the priority check in desk was lovely. Bag was overweight but we just got another bag and split it. We only had one hold bag each but we're allowed two. She effortlessly sold us an upgrade but was also super friendly and professional. Our first impression of the airline is very positive. I hope Carrie hasn't set an impossible bar! UPDATE: It's 'ok'. Aircraft are clean and the food in premium was very reasonable. That being said, after paying for an upgrade I didn't expect to be surrounded by people from economy walking their crying babies (which cannot be helped, feel sorry for the parents and babies). Crew are friendly and helpful. It was an upgrade but I also felt like it wasn't. Flight and punctuality were good. Would I use them again? Maybe, but I might choose someone else if available, but I wouldn't be upset if I had to use Discover, it isn't exactly the EasyJet of long-haul, they seem to make an effort. This wasn't about price, it was about route and availability at short notice.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Discover AirlinesThis has been one of the most frustrating and infuriating travel experiences of my life. Our flight with Discover Airlines was first delayed and then completely cancelled, leaving us stranded with no clear communication, no accountability, and no real assistance.To make matters worse, one of our bags has gone missing. It was either never tagged or never properly checked in — no one can tell us where it is, and no one seems to care. The lack of tracking, follow-up, or urgency is shocking.We are now 65 HOURS delayed, exhausted, and severely annoyed. Despite business class having available seats, Discover Airlines flat-out refused to assist us with an upgrade or offer any meaningful solution, even considering the chaos they caused. Zero flexibility. Zero empathy.The hotel situation has been an absolute joke. We were given a hotel voucher for the first night only. When we asked for a voucher for the second night — since the delay is entirely their fault — we were told the hotel “needs to do it automatically.” The hotel, of course, says they require a voucher from the airline. So we’re stuck in the middle while Discover Airlines shrugs and passes responsibility.Customer service has been dismissive, unhelpful, and painfully slow. There is no ownership of the problem, no proactive support, and no sense that passengers’ time, comfort, or belongings matter at all.This level of incompetence and indifference is unacceptable for any airline. Discover Airlines has completely failed on every level: operations, communication, baggage handling, and customer care. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before booking with them — especially if you value your time, your luggage, or basic human decency.
