Danner Recrafting destructive.
Danner Recrafting removed so much material from the welts of my boots they claimed they were no longer recraftable.Be warned that this process will make your boots useless after 3 or 4 recrafting cycles. Aside from the damage from recrafting my boot were in very good condition.Danner's email to me."Unfortunately, after an evaluation made by our recrafting team, they will be unable to service the boots sent in because of no welt (both boots) which would not hold up to a restitching. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for you and would be glad to provide a 25% discount code that can be used on a replacement/future purchase of a non-sale item on danner.com."Great way to sell more boots.

Bought a pair of walking boots from Danner and have not received them. Just excuse after excuse. I have asked to cancel the order and refund me.Terrible experience. Do yourself a favour and save yourself wasted time.

Buyer Beware. In Oct 2025 I ordered 2 pairs of Sierra boots from Danner at over $400 per pair and they sent both pairs from batches made in 2021. One pair had several dents in the left toe box and the other pair did not fit the sole correctly. Danner Support claimed there is no issue with the boot being 4 years old prior to buying but it’s a leather boot with signs of degradation.

They slow-walk orders
They slow-walk your order if you don't pay the upcharge. Both shoes took a week before even shipping and arrived just inside two weeks in the end. That's an eternity in 2025. Not sure whether intentional or from a poorly run company, but I am sure it's a pretty poor customer service move

Late delivery on orders
The last two orders from Danner shoes took over two weeks to arrive. They claim they are having trouble with a new warehouse and are working 24 hours to fix the problem. This was a month ago. Bad way to do business

Duties, shipping and customer service.
I ordered two pairs of boots for approximately $550 CAD. I am fine paying more for things when hopefully the quality is high, and they happen to be headquartered nearby in the Pacific Northwest. However, what I was not prepared for, was after already paying $70 for shipping, I was then slapped with over $250 in duties to bring them to Canada. If you use the Canadian governemnt estimated duties, this does not match. Then when I asked all companies involved, they all blamed the other. and no one could provide an actual invoice from the government of Canada. Worst of all was Danner's customer service who took no responsibility (despite them arranging the shipping) and refused to ger me an answer, get any proof or take any responsibility. This is not the service I expect when I pay top dollar for a product. I could not recommend this company less.

Junk. Rocky Boots are the same quality but half the price. And good luck talking to any of the hipsters that work there, they act like Oregon is the only state in the country. Apparently their boots are only suitable for Oregon, heaven forbid anyone else inquires about their product

I bought two pairs of Danner Trail 2650…
I bought two pairs of Danner Trail 2650 Campo shoes in November 2023 and January 2024, one pair Goretex, the other not Goretex. I have hardly worn either pair. Both Goretex shoes have split at the toe and leak. The rand on the other shoes has delaminated. I contacted Danner and was told that I should have bought a more robust boot. I have only walked on pavements in both pairs. These shoes are of seriously inferior quality and over-priced. Look elsewhere. I wouldn't touch this brand with a barge-pole again.

Horrible customer support. Bought a pair of Danner mountain light and most of the buckles started rusting after 1 1/2 year. They say it shouldn’t happen but apart that it’s not a defect. For a 400 euro shoe I would expect way better
