Common Projects does not have the same quality as it used to, at all. My shoes broke after a year of normal use. Cheap materials and bad craftmanship. Much better brands out there.Contacted customer service, but they refused to take any responsibility and claimed it’s normal that shoes break after a year. Well, maybe shoes to 100 euros, but not 4-500 euros.
Bought CPs for many years - always great. Last pair I bought broke in two weeks. Bought through Mr Porter and when I went back to them with the issue - CP said it was down to wear and tear. Terrible what has become of both companies...
I purchased a relatively expensive pair of their Italian made white suede sneaker shoes. I really looked after these shoes, rarely ever wore them, used stain protector and cleaned them with sued gum & shampoo.However after wearing my first pair a couple of times the metal lace hole eyelets rusted. Evidently they used cheap uncoated steel eyelets. I complained at the store I bought them from and got them replaced.My second pair on my 5th or 6th wear got a mark on them. I cleaned them as normal but this time the mark would not come out. I emailed Common Projects 3 times for advice on how to fix the problem and was ignored every time.
