Awful customer service
Awful customer service, do not buy from here! I paid £4.90 for standard delivery which said 3-4 working days to arrive for a present for someone. After a week it hadn’t even been dispatched yet, so clearly it wasn’t going to arrive within the stated timeframe when they hadn’t even bothered to send it yet. I asked to cancel the order, but Laurent from customer services said it couldn’t be cancelled and would be dispatched within the next few business days! Absolutely terrible service, and made worse by refusing to cancel despite the fact the order has not been processed or left the warehouse yet. I’ll be returning the item so they’re just wasting everyone’s time.

Awful. Please avoid. Coat not received and Paypal helped me get a refund. Second coat was returned as it was too big (if you do order, size down) been waiting almost a month for a refund even though Columbia received it back in their warehouse weeks ago. Have had to ask Paypal to step in and help again. Shop in store, not online.

Garbage Clothing Brand
Purchased at Kohl's a CSW lightweight synthetic long-sleeve fishing shirt for summer wear. Washed it twice and the fabric was badly pilling. Too late to return to Kohl's, was advised to make a warranty claim with CSW and did so. Paid to return the item. CSW determined the shirt was defective, but only provided a partial credit TO THEIR WEBSITE or brand store (none near me). Ordered a like-size and type replacement but had to pay again for shipping $8. Item arrived with sleeves being 8-inches too long: cut for an Orangutan. Once again had to pay to return their defective-sized item and they refused to issue a cash refund: only online store credit. In addition, took a percentage back, issuing only a $45 store credit. Aside from wasted time and chronically-poor item quality, CSW has now cost me approximately $30 to allegedly "make right" their defective items.LESSON: NEVER buy CSW anything, ever, no matter how good-looking. Stay away from this rip-off, garbage brand.

Please please stay clear of this company. I thought it was part of the USA company. The women’s jacket was poorly made. I returned it within 2 days of receipt. At the moment they are refusing to even look at my return citing that I did not use an UPS drop box. Local boxes were not working so posted it back with myself paying the costs. Incredibly poor customer service. Rude person at the end of the line.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am a manager at a retail store that sells Columbia products. Our return policy is better than theirs which blows my mind. They are forcing me to physically drive an hour and a half to return an item that I purchased because by the time it gets to the warehouse, the return policy will be up. Everywhere has a postmarked by policy. I was honest with them and told them exactly why I've been delayed and returning my product, my father died. I was out of town for a month and couldn't deal with anything like this, rightfully so. But instead of understanding, they are very difficult to work with. So now I have to send the item back and hope for a refund or drive an hour and a half to the nearest store somehow in the next 4 days but the hours are exactly the hours that I worrk (at my store where I sell Columbia items.) I will definitely be talking to my buyer and the rep. This is awful customer service. I'll be sure to tell my customers as well. People want to spend their money on companies that care and work with extenuating circumstances not jerks. I know what can be done since I work in the industry.

You'd think a huge company involved in Olympic sponsorship (curling team apparel) would be reliable. They most certainly are not! I had a feeling it wasn't going to be plain sailing from their 1st acknowledgment email, when I was told "please note that reminders do not speed up the processing of your request - quite the contrary." ie. Do not get back to us or we will take even longer to respond! The zip on my, less than 3 month old coat, broke, making it unwearable. First off I was advised to find a seamstress, get it repaired myself and they'd refund the amount. I advised that this was inconvenient and was told no when I asked if they had an authorised repair centre I could send it to. I was then offered an online voucher for the cost of the coat, but I had to spend more than its value to 'activate it'. I refused this after contacting consumers' advice for their opinion. There was a 3rd offer of a voucher for a lesser amount with a refund of money to top it up to the correct amount. Unfortunately, there was nothing similar on there website and I asked for a refund. This was refused. The final offer was for me to send it to their authorised repair centre for repair. WHICH I'D ASKED FOR INITIALLY! Customer service was rude, unprofessional and very slow to respond. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

Shipping times are completely misleading. I paid an extra $20 for express shipping, with the estimated delivery date being 2-3 business days. The order was placed Thurs at noon, so Mon or Tues, maybe Wed if things go smoothly?Nope. Turns out they don't even ship on Friday, so the order won't even be processed until at least Monday. When I log in, it now says 3-4 business days to process and another 3-4 days to ship, so yeah - save your money and choose regular free shipping because there's actually no difference. Unfortunately this company is being intentionally misleading, and doesn't share this information until AFTER the order is placed. I wonder how many others they've scammed out of an extra $20! I'll have to drive a few hours to buy these items and return the ones ordered now, because I need them earlier than 1-2 weeks away. Basically threw $20 down the drain - don't make my mistake.

I had called the customer service twice , both times were a foreigner speakers. I couldn't understand what they were telling me what to do to return / ship it back to the company. I ordered a virtual gift card from Columbia Sportswear on December 24, 2025. It was delivered to the wrong email address due to an error that needed correction. When I contacted customer service, I was told the gift card would be reissued to the correct email.Over one month later, the gift card has still not been delivered.When I followed up to request a refund, I was told a refund was not possible and that I would need to wait up to six weeks for the corrected virtual gift card to be sent. This is completely unacceptable for a digital product that should be delivered instantly or within days.Customer service claimed the delay was due to additional payment and identity verification. The payment processed successfully to my credit card at the time of purchase, and I have now completed identity verification twice.A six-week wait for a virtual gift card, with no option for a refund, is unreasonable. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a huge waste of time. I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from Columbia Sportswear based on this experience.
