I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT JOINING…

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT JOINING CENTERWELL STONE MOUNTAIN! They showed me evidence they do not care about a patient as an individual, are incompetent, and have no compassion.I am 73 years young and I was kicked out (“discharged”) from CenterWell Stone Mountain on my third appointment to the facility. Supposedly, although I have Blue Cross and Blue Sheild, I was kicked out just because I did not have Medicare! How is it by my third appointment, it was just discovered?Incompetent business management: I wanted to be a patient of Oak Street Healthcare, but they only accepted Medicare. Since I did not have it, I kept looking for senior healthcare provision. I called CenterWell to inquire if BC and BS insurance was accepted as payment. I was told yes! On my first appointment I was impressed by how clean and organized the place was, respect shown for patient’s time in processing for the doctor’s visit, and the friendliness of the staff. Obviously friendly does not equal competence and compassion. It took my third visit for them to report to me I did not qualify to be their patient because I did not have Medicare. In contacting SSA to enroll in Medicare, I discovered I already had Medicare for years. I did not know enrollment is automatic when you start collecting SSA benefits after age 65. SSA is re-sending me a Medicare card. A call to Medicare is all Centerwell needed to do to verify my Medicare enrollment! We were mutually pleasant in verbal exchanges. How is it a facility that specializes in senior citizens health care did not know that before just kicking me out? … Incompetence!Incompetent clinical management: I requested to get a weight loss Rx GLPI “pill”, not injection. The prescription I got was the Glp1 medication that is exclusively for diabetics, Rybelsus, and cost greater than $900 per month. I am not diabetic so my insurance company would not approve. I made 3 different phone calls on different days to Centerwell to re-explain and request the Glp1 “pill” that is exclusively for weight loss, Wegovy, which is less than $130+ per month covered entirely by insurance. Why is it that Centerwell did not research, even Google information to help me? … Incompetence! No compassion: No contact or reaching out to me. I showed up for my standing scheduled doctor’s appointment. At that appointment they acted like they just discovered I did not have Medicare. I got the you-can-leave-now look. And I left more in disbelief than anger at that point. No attempt was taken by Centerwell to mitigate their damage to me and make sure I got continued treatment somewhere else. As I sat in my car in shock, I called back to get copies of my labs and doctor’s progress notes. When I returned to pick up my records, I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was in a meeting. According to the receptionist the manager knew about what happened to me. No one contacted me!! But I am now under Oak Street Health because it was obvious to me CenterWell is incompetent, did not care about me, and prone to coverups. All of that was a shameful experience I had at CenterWell! Senior Primary Care!

Errors and not at all nice!

They had errors in my records, gave me a vaccine and didn't record it! Dr. was hostile when asking questions about BRCA, I have an unknown family history , but cousins and other relatives are testing positives. Dr. P got testy with me when I asked about it. Staff talked about getting a wheelchair to skip in lines at Disney land or something - unethical. Can't take off a little tiny skin tag, other Primary did, no this one I have to go to a specialist! Useless, I may just snip it off myself ih a nail clipper.Doctor dictator, he will tell you what to be concerned about and there is little discussion. Wants me back in 3 months for some unknown reason. $$$? Not going back. Three decades of mental health treatment with specialists, and this Dr. will willy-nilly go on and on about some anti-depressant to prescribe you. I had to interrupt and it was one I had a reaction to 15 years ago. HORRIBLE doctoring. Doesn't not listen or think about the individual.I went w/o a Primary Care doctor and gave myself better primary care than any of these doctors do. Only got one because I needed pre-op bloodwork, might start going w/o again, they are NOT HELPFUL, in fact they do a lot of harm.

A pharmacy that doesn’t deliver or answer the phone!

2nd consecutive month of CenterWell just not delivering my (paid for) meds. No info online or any chat option.Hours on hold, agents completely clueless. Constant excuses about manual processes and have to call another department. No compensation, apology or supervisor avenue. Agent couldnt even find the case ID on my ticket.

Avoid at all costs

I've been on hold three times so far with their customer service staff in Afghanistan (?) making $0.15 cents per month. Centerwell sent me a message asking me to choose the day I'd like my prescription delivered, which, it turns out, has nothing to do with me getting the drug on that day.

THIS CENTER IS NOT A GOOD CENTER TO GO…

THIS CENTER IS NOT A GOOD CENTER TO GO TO… PARTICULARLY IN STONE MOUNTAIN GEORGIA, ITS LOCATED IN A SHOPPING CENTER AROUND TOO MANY MERCHANTS, HOMELESS PEOPLE HANG AROUND WITHIN FEET OF THE CENTER, LIMITED HANDICAP PARKING AND IT FEELS UNSAFE BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE WALKING AROUND FROM ALL DIRECTIONS, THE STAFF IS MEDIOCRE, BUT THE PATIENT PORTAL IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PATIENT ( which is important to see your blood work), WHEN MY WIFE AND I DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE VISITING, WE ASKED IN WRITING AND FILLED OUT MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS AND WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR MEDICAL RECORDS….. WHEN YOU NEED TO TALK WITH SOMEONE AT THE DESIGNATED CENTER….. A SECOND PARTY FROM ANOTHER STATE ANSWERS YOUR CALL AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE DIRECTLY FROM THAT CENTERWELL CENTER, THEY HAVE TO RELAY THE MESSAGE TO THEM AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK…..THIS IS NOT PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE

I had total knee replacement on…

I had total knee replacement on December 17,2025. They sent Centerwell Home Health Care for my rehabilitation. Mr. Paul was the first person who came. Extremely nice and professional. He was my intake. For all of my other appointments Mrs Hannah came. She is the best!! Very professional, on time, encouraged me to work hard and do my best but do it safely. She was even my counselor lol probably twice when I wanted to give up. Today I got discharged because I am doing so good and meeting all my requirements to go to physical therapy at my doctor. I am so grateful for their compassion, care, and commitment to patients getting better!! Thank you Hannah and Paul!!

My mom fell and broke her hip about 6…

My mom fell and broke her hip about 6 weeks and the hospital sent CenterWell. We’ve had home health before and these folks are terrible!! I wish I looked at reviews before I agreed to go with them. First of all, the admittance nurse was horrible. Here’s my 91 year old mom who had just endured surgery and rehab and just came home. She had zero compassion and was frustrated I asked her to help me get my mom up so she could move to a chair. She was more concerned about getting to the next apportionment than providing good care. The first nurse that came wanted to come at 8:30p at night and we said no. No one is ever on a schedule. We do have one nurse that is good now. We also had an issue where my mom’s blood pressure was low so I called the 800 number with is supposed to be 24 hours. Waited am bout for someone to call me back and called again. The nurse on call said it would be fine an to not worry about it. My mom is still having issues with her wounds so today a wound care nurse shows up with no supplies and tells my mom it looks like it is getting infected. She don’t even take her temp or blood pressure or other vitals. I’m trying to hold on to them through the month but I might have to make a change. There are much better companies for in home healthcare.

Bad Experience

I don't know where to start. I called them on November 13 and asked for an appointment because of bleeding, I couldn't set an appointment on the portal. Was told someone would call me back.I called again that afternoon and was transferred to someone who made me feel like a bother. It was only after I wrote a review did I hear from anyone via email after I emailed them as requested.I finally heard from them on December 1 regarding an appointment. We by the I am so ready for a new PCP, had set an urgent care appointment.I am no so numbed by these people and their attitudes. The young lady that called yesterday was a little irritated because I was irritated that she would be calling me after so long. It was not her fault but come on.This is beyond poor care, and for seniors, this is scary.Somehow they managed to screw up my personal information, my emergency contact information.Note to whomever runs the humble clinic, my recent care deserves a 0.This place should be closed and every employee reevaluated and examined for a CARE pulse. No way I would ever go to Humanas insurance unless God instructed me to.

Nurse Refuses to Order Enough Wound Care Supplies

My experience with CenterWell regarding my mother’s wound care has been extremely frustrating. For more than eight months, I have been calling repeatedly to report that we do not receive enough wound care supplies. We consistently run out of basic and essential items such as tape, collagen, bandages, gauze, and skin prep. This has happened month after month, with no improvement. The nurse assigned to my mother has refused to order adequate supplies, stating that he does not want to “over order.” I am constantly forced to purchase additional supplies out of pocket, and he uses the supplies that I buy. This is unacceptable, especially when these items are medically necessary for my mother’s care and should be provided consistently.Families should not have to beg for the proper materials that allow nurses to do their jobs safely and effectively. CenterWell must address this ongoing issue and ensure that patients receive the wound care supplies they are entitled to without unnecessary delays or excuses.

This pharmacy sucks

This pharmacy sucks. They say I can't get my ms medication unless I pay 600 for 1 month. I used to 3 months for nothing. Who can afford that.

Centerwell Home Health is the WORST ever Avoid Centerwell

On the very first assessment visit they called an ambulance, fire department and sheriff. In the hospital for days shuffled around for all sort of testing... Hospital Found nothing wrong.2 weeks later client ordered to go to the hospital again. Discharged the same day.Debbie their case manager is terrible. Ron is no better. Physical therapist rummage through the prescriptions? Yeah. Avoid this business like the plague. Too invasive.Do not let Centerwell into your home.

Worst pharmacy ever

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used!!! Mail order is always always late, every single month. I get my prescriptions late every single month. Put it this way my scripts are all over a month behind, probably closer to 2 now because every month they all continue to be late. I get the same scripts every month & they have my scripts a month ahead of time, yet they can't even manage to mail them out before my due date I should actually have them in my hands, and after they do finally decide to ship, well then it's 3 to 5 days shipping time beyond that & that's after it ships not after it fills because they don't even ship it for days after it's filled & this happens literally every single month. When you call to ask why don't you ship them earlier so that we can receive them when they are actually due so that maybe I didn't have to run out of medications every month because I'm getting them late every month. Their answer to me is sorry there's nothing we can do about that. They don't fill it till it's due & after they fill it they sit on it for 4 or 5 days til they actually give it to the shipper, it will say waiting for carrier pickup, except all it is, is label created & will just sit there waiting 4 or 5 days to actually ship out at which point there will be an additional 3 to 5 days ship time. Why is it always late & why does it take them so long to fill it & then sit on it before they actually ship it when they have my scripts in hand a month a head of time and I call 2 weeks in advance to confirm the refill? I sooo want to change pharmacies. Also, my scripts like a lot of peoples are not to be abruptly stopped, but they don't care. They just say there's nothing I can do about that, they won't fill it till it's due. They don't care if they make you run out every month. They literally don't care about the patients they serve.

not happy with dr. astrid rosa velz

i met with dr. astrid rosa velz this morning and already i am not pleased. she took writing while not listening to a whole new level. i was tired of looking for a good primary so finally had no choice but centerwell. the one thing that i really need desperately is amoxicillin for a sinusitus condition. these drs pay no attention to us. i have had to call them because she paid no attention to my own knowledge of this condition i know about. i need someone who will pay attention to my own experience with my condition and pay attention to what i know works. amoxicillin is not even a controlled substance. frustration and a language difficulty. help. i need a good primary who listens to my experience. i am 73. linda bowman

Left us high and dry after promising us…

Left us high and dry after promising us help navigating. Promised help with prescriptions and prescription costs - no help. Promised help with durable medical equipment - no help. Made an appointment window to visit the patient - NO SHOW and NO CALL. Wasted 3 hours waiting for nurse to show. Contacted the nurse and she says removed from schedule. No apology and no explanation. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The Decline of Centerwell

Location: Brunswick, GA Address: 160 Juniper Ct # 102Centerwell Home Health falsely advertises services they do not provide. In the website they stated they provide speech therapy; however, this company do not have a speech therapist (SLP). Also they state on their documentation records their healthcare professionals instructed caregivers on many topics. This never occurred during any of their visits. They hire incompetent nurses who cannot properly provide wound care treatments. Most of the clinical managers of this company fail to take their roles seriously and should not be managing any company. This company should be shutdown if they refuse to improve their services and staff!

The stroke arm brace should be sent to my husband.

My husband had a stroke and a PT and OT came to our home for therapy for a period of time. During that time, a brace for his stroke hand was ordered. It still had not come during the therapy sessions. I had called the company a couple of times to check on the brace, but it was always pending. When my husband's therapy ended, I called again about the brace. It had been delivered to the wrong address! Someone had certainly dropped the ball! So, my husband has no brace for his stroke hand. The company will not right the wrong. The brace belongs to my husband, and it should be sent to him.
