I ordered my 30' x 60' metal building…
I ordered my 30' x 60' metal building from Carolina Sheds and signed a contract that stated I would have it in 60-90 days. Well after 65 days I called and called the company finally got an answer that they were behind because of the weather and lost lots of employees to ICE, that tell you something. At 145 days I got a call saying they were delivering my building, I told them we would be on vacation out of the country to give my slot to someone and give me theirs for a latter date and said they could not do that and would get back to me. I got the call they were coming the following Monday, no show, Tuesday not show I called and they said first thing Wednesday which turned out to be 3 in the afternoon. Not Sure what happened but couldn't find out since only one of the crew spoke a little English. Building good 7 days to put up and they were gone. I called around to have a door opener installed and it took me 4 companies to find someone who would do it, 3 said straight out they would not work on anything built by Carolina Carports. The one installer game and said the working of their doors are all plastic and never last they asked if I was getting a new door. I asked why and he pointed out a circle on the door written in magic marker which I thought it maybe a measurement. He said no it's defected, so the door was put up defective and I was never told. Carolina Carport brought a new door, put it up not installed and left. I had the garage door opener company come back to reinstall the door opener, they spent 2 hours trying to install the door and said the second door is worse than the first door and I should call and have another door delivered. I couldn't go though this again and do not trust Carolina Carport so I spent $3000 bought a new door which is built so much better and opens smoothly. On top of all these problems a friend came to visit and showed me a large dent in one of the corner moldings and where they tried to hide it by spray painting it black where it drip marks. make sure you read reviews not on their site where they post review from a few of their satisfied customers as it states.

I purchased a new garage with lean too from you.The installers left metal shaving on every ledge on the metal siding and the roof on the entire structure. Those metal shaving have rusted and embedded past the metal coating and bonded to the steel underneath the protective coating. Hundreds of rust spots are all over the building. I have been for 2 weeks trying to remove the rusted metal shavings to save the building from more damage.I found broken drill bits on the roof rusted thru the external coating.I also noticed the seals on the garage door have a fair large gap between the seal and the roll up door. I want to air-condition the building and this will allow cool aor to escape. The grounding rod was installed but noting is attached to it.Carolina carport will not fix the issues saying i heavily modified the building after their workmanship errors causing corrosion to the exterior of the building.I will not be doing business woth them againThe errors the crew they hired was not my fault it is theirs.I paid full price for a quality job and have to deal woth repainting the entire building due to thousands of raw hot metal shavings invading themselves into the exterior coating causing the metal to rust. The building is brand new

Amazing building.
Just had my installation done. Amazing crew! 30 x 80 x 12. I can't believe what a GREAT job they did. It did take them 16 weeks to deliver me, but it was totally worth the wait. I got 26-gauge metal, a 12-gauge frame, two garage doors, and wind certification for 170 mph. The nearest competitor was $3k higher. All the negative reviews I saw online had me worried, but after the install, I'm glad I was patient. If you don't know what you're doing, it's best to have a concrete pad done by a pro. I couldn't be happier with the way this turned out. Thanks, Carolina!

I was told 6-8 weeks from the time the concrete pad was installed and they were notified. It ended up taking 15 weeks for completion and that can really screw things up when lining up contractors to finish the site work and electrical etc. I would give them 0 stars for communication I was never contacted about anything and after several calls I still couldn’t get a timeline of completion. Finally I was told they were coming August 26- 28 and I took that time of off work losing hundreds of dollars when they didn’t call to say they were delayed or any communication whatsoever. They finally arrived on the 28 and were done on the 30th. I will say that the building itself looks good and the Spanish speaking crew did a good job. It always amazes me that such a large company can be so bad with customer service. They obviously don’t care about wasting your time.

starting to get nervous
starting to get nervous, ordered my garage months ago and no one will call me back. i have left 6 messages and spoke to several customer service reps. every month they state: someone will be in contact with you shortly. the company that we purchased through said they can't help and asked us the customer to call? something as simple as a return phone call is not too much to ask.

I am writing this review because I am…
I am writing this review because I am very disappointed in Alan's Factory Outlet and Carolina Carports. Less than 5 years ago, I bought a steel building and the roof is now leaking. Company representatives tell me that after the 1st year, there is no warranty against the roof leaking. Alan's Factory Outlet and Carolina Carports knew my roof would leak when they sold me the building because, according to Ms. Nicole Kovatch in Customer Service, "You can check to make sure if any of your washers on the roofing screws need replacing as the sun can wear them down." The sun can wear them down....what kind of junk parts are they using that the sun shining on a roof wears them down until they leak? There are probably 200 screws on the roof alone, does that mean they will all need replacing because the sun wears them down? My building is less than 5 years old, the roof is leaking, and the reason the company offered means they knew this would happen. Nobody buys a steel building expecting the roof to leak within 5 years and especially not because the company knowingly uses inferior washers. Don't learn the hard way like I did, find a company that cares about their customers longer than a year.

Do NOT Trust Carolina Carport - Rude Service & Excessive Delays
I am extremely disappointed with Carolina Carport. I ordered a carport on 29 April 2025 with a promised delivery of 4-6 weeks (Posted on their website). Today is 6/25/2025, and my order is still delayed with a projected 16 July installation date. Beware of third party promises that sell their buildings, Carolina Carport doesn't honor anything they say to get you to buy the building. The customer service is shockingly rude and unhelpful, prioritizing company processes over customer needs (Actually Supervisor Valerie prioritized her 5 min break over speaking to a dissatisfied customer). Their delivery system, which waits for convenient installer routes, is unacceptable and led to significant delays beyond the advertised timeframe. Business model is one sided, expecting customer accountability, but not holding themselves accountable when they violate timelines they advertised.I have completely lost trust in Carolina Carport and will never do business with them again. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and the third-party vendor Garage & Shed Supply out of Virginia. if you are a Veteran and think accountability is important, take it from this Veteran, this organization will leave you disappointed.Steven M.D'Ostroph - Order # Apr 30, 2025

Carolina Carport has no integrity.
They’ve lied to me 3 times now about the installation. Tomorrow has come and gone more than twice they’ve said they’re loading the truck now and will be there in the morning. I would cancel but I’ve waited for so long to start over with someone else. It’s definitely not been worth the hassle. If I were to do it again I would find someone else.

From Deposit to Cancellation — Misled, Ignored, and Dismissed
I signed a contract with Alan's Factory Outlet (CCI dealer) on February 4, 2025, and submitted my site photos to Carolina Carports on April 27. From that point forward, I upheld every part of my agreement—yet not a single communication was ever initiated by the company. I had to reach out repeatedly just to get the most basic updates, which were vague and unhelpful at best. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, I was told, “they will just tell you the same thing,” as if escalation was a waste of everyone’s time. One employee, H******, falsely claimed I was the first customer in over 20 years to raise concerns like mine—despite the hundreds of 1- and 2-star reviews that say otherwise. She also falsely told me that the company’s CEO, Adela Herrera, was “just a shareholder”—a claim I later confirmed to be completely untrue. Official business filings in Georgia and Florida clearly list Mrs. Herrera as CEO and President.Even more concerning: when I referenced a promise made during an earlier call, H**** told me she would “listen to the recorded call.”** There was no disclosure that calls were being recorded, and since Carolina Carports services Florida—a two-party consent state— this either means the company is recording customers illegally or that the threat was simply used as an intimidation tactic.I have since canceled my order and received a full refund. I’m now working with a local builder who values honest timelines, transparent communication, and respect for the customer—three things sorely lacking in my experience with Carolina Carports.Bottom line: The product may be fine, but the business culture is broken. The communication failures, misrepresentation, and dismissiveness I experienced were not just inconvenient—they were unacceptable. I hope leadership will take accountability and make real changes for the sake of future customers.

Wonderful crew and delivered as ordered
The crew that came to deliver and install our unit was friendly and courteous. They were quick, thorough and respectful of our property. They installed a 25 x 35, 2 garage door unit in 6 1/2 hours complete with 5 guys. They did a wonderful job. I wanted to post this because I saw so many bad reviews that needed to be counteracted. The unit was exactly as ordered with no issues. The actual scheduling was a couple weeks delayed however it was expected as we had a lot of heavy rain in the previous weeks. However, when it was scheduled there was no delay at all. The crew that works out of Mississippi that goes up into west Tennessee was awesome!!! I think the crew boss name was Mario. Great job guys!!!

In December, ( 6 eeeks behind schedule) EverSafe assembled a building for us in Punta Gorda, Florida, with sales representation from their Florida office. Unfortunately, this has turned out to be the most frustrating experience we’ve ever encountered. One moment, they are identifying as EverSafe; the next, as Carolina Carports. After they left, the job was not completed, and many components were executed poorly. The workmanship was performed by workers who were not only unqualified but also presumably undocumented, as they could not speak English and lacked proper identification. We asked them for proof that they were allowed to work in the United States. They never could produce anything. They couldn’t even speak English. You had to use Google translate to try to communicate. They worked without hard hats or safety glasses, putting in 15-16 hour days with inadequate lighting on their helmets, which hindered their ability to see the subpar work they were leaving behind. Issues included overtightened bolts and improperly sized door openings.Despite our requests for them to stop and correct their mistakes, they abruptly left the site, taking some of the steel with them. Now, four months later, no one from EverSafe or Carolina Carports has come to address the numerous deficiencies, which have resulted in thousands of dollars in repair costs that we have had to cover with other contractors. At no point has anyone from EverSafe or Carolina Carports visited the site to assess the poor workmanship and the state in which the building was left. We urge everyone to be cautious; it feels like a shell game, with each company looking to pass the buck. They are now sending emails attempting to collect the final payment on a building that is incomplete and for which they..,

Do not do business with these guys
Do not do business with these guys. I am currently on active duty with US Army and since 2020 I have been dealing with an issue with this company. My issue was not necessarily a warranty problem. It was an installation problem. One whole side of the building was not attached to the frame properly, and on the other side is missing an anchor. When these guys initially came out to build, the crew was fine and if I am honest, I don’t know anything about construction. However, I soon found out how bad it was once I had a contractor come out to take a look at installing the electrical components. Also, they ran out of material for the roof and had to use tan to finish a green roof. I did not pay the rest of what was owed until they come back out to fix the problems. Several months later, they finally come back out after I’ve already had the electric installed. They butchered the right side of the building, trying to get it attached to the frame. Also, they never installed the missing anchor on the other side. Furthermore, all doors had warped rubber seals on the bottom. When they came back out in an attempt to correct the installation problems, they told me if they just drilled more holes into the door frames to make the door tighter, It would be fine. As you can guess that was not going to correct the issue. The gold standard for Carolina Carports is to threaten you with collections and litigation. They’re so-called “general manager”, which is kind of a joke If you know this person‘s background, employs these tactics and trains their representatives to scare people who cannot pay what they owe. In our case, it’s just a matter of being completely taken advantage of due to me being on active duty and not being home to address this properly. What’s funny is they were going to takeoff a few hundred dollars due to the issues for me to settle. But then when I look at my statement, they literally charge me 800+ dollars because they were required to give me a call before showing up due to my dogs. That is no exaggeration. When I realize the money that they were willing to take off to settle this was that erroneous charge of over $800 to give us a courtesy call so we could put our dogs up. This is the type of company you are dealing with, if you decide to have a building put up by Carolina Carports.

Well I ordered a 12x20 with 10 foot legs in September put 10%down and was told it would be 6to8weeks for the install I called at 8 weeks and was told by the person that sets up the install that she did not know when they would get to me because there was not enough customers in my erea she said it could be anywhere from 4weeks or some time next year and that my sales person misspoke by giving me a time of when I would receive my carport. So I cancelled my order they did give me my deposit back but charged me a handling fee

Picked up 39 screws scattered around…
Picked up 39 screws scattered around the perimeter after the job. They came back to fix a latch and some parted insulation with tape. They would not fix the obvious gap in insulation between the wall and roof saying they don’t do so called airtight insulation. Not asking for airtight just cover obvious gaps at soffits. Customer service no help. Now I’ll half to get on a ladder buy one roll of insulation and do it myself. Too bad I won’t recommend them.Update:Alan, hopefully your mail screeners will forward this to you because it is important. A Fully insulated garage does not mean to me 6” gaps at the soffits. Airtight certainly does not infer leaving such gaps. after spending thousands extra for an insulated building I’m expected to accept this as adequate. The insulation is not secured at the top of the side wall. So when the metal walls get hot the insulation expands opening a gap near the ceiling. And since there is no insulation in the soffit the heat rises and enters the garage.Carolina carports came today to address this and the insulation seams separating on the end walls. They taped the seams. Within 2 hours the tape was peeling off. I’ll bet the joke was on me when they left. I gave them the 40 screws I found laying around the perimeter of the building when they came before. They did fix the latch. So I’ll have to buy the right tape that actually sticks and fix it myself and buy some rolled insulation to finish the insulation job at the soffit.I chose your company because it thought you displayed honesty and integrity but it seems I was mistaken. You contract out your work and therefore you lose that connection with the customer. The only difference between a 1 and 5 rating is the insulation misrepresentation issue. . It’s unfortunate $50 worth of tape and insulation has resulted in a poor job and a dissatisfied customer.

Not what I was hoping for
The construction is sturdy and the install crew was good. My GREAT DISAPOINTMENT is that they refused to place the carport closer than 3' to my garage.I now have a gap of 3' on one side and 3.5' on the other side to close, not even square to my garage, to close if I want to keep the rain out.

Horrible customer service
When we purchased our metal building, we were told that the building was warranted for life including leaks. The building leaks every time it rains. When we called about the issue, they said they wouldn't do anything about it.
