Unable to view their report. They require you to disable your Adblock protection for some reason? Their job is to provide information, not to datamine your information.

Bought a pre-owned RR

Bought a car. It obviously had ab reported accident. Dealership noted it and the Range Rover initials were missing from the hood. Major bummer.

Underwhelmed by this vendor

Underwhelmed by this vendor. Report was expensive for what it offered. Most records simply stated "vehicle serviced" without giving me any details as to what actual work was performed. Would not buy anyting from them again-ever!

Joke of a service combined with your dealer! They sent me upcoming information on oil change and rotation and they told me it wasn't due for a year from now!!

I inquired about 4 diferent vehicles…

I inquired about 4 diferent vehicles from this site 3 were already sold (problem updating inventory reads like a BAIT AND SWITCH caper. the 4th vehicle seemed promissing worked out the price as advertised at 5800apx, explained i had to drive down from JAX to complete the deal. checked out the vehicle. it was nicer than i expected. Excitement! I go inside to complete the transaction. After sitting for what seemed like 30-45 min. the sales monkey came back with an all in price that was several thousand dollars over the advertised price BAIT AND SWITCH on the price. So the best you can expect from CARFAX.com is to have your time waisted with possible illegal BAIT AND SWITCH ON THE PRICE. If i could only afford a lawer.

CARFAX is a good tool but can be incomplete

CARFAX is a good tool. However we found it is incomplete. We had a new Tahoe that at 11k miles had to have a engine replaced. The work was done at a Chevrolet dealership. Luckily it was still under manufacturer warranty. After a few years we ended up trading the Tahoe In. We found the CARFAX report didn't included the engine replacement. . We asked why this wasn't reported. The dealership stated shops have to subscribe to the CARFAX service which they chose not to. So you cannot truly rely on the CARFAX report alone. Buyer beware.

Asked for help and Nada

I written to carfax about twenty times probably more. Not every garage in the united states, reports to carfax, so I asked them, I change my oil every five thousand miles or every forty five hundred, sometimes every like four months, instead of five on my kia.Soul two thousand twenty two. I said to them, not everyone reports to you guys. And I would like it to be changed to every five thousand or I mean forty five hundred. I wrote to zam lease 20 times if not more on email. Because they don't take phone calls. Do you think their company is a hundred percent and it's not. How come all the reports are in on every ten thousand or every nine thousand but not on five thousand that's just a little bit strange. I think it's due to them being a hustler, or whatever for dealerships or for insurance on the manufacturer side of the cars. So if you dispute anything, they're not gonna help you. Shoot it took me at least ten times for them to acknowledge my questions. If there's another thing like carfax, go with em.Because these guys aren't legit. Customer service sucks. If there was a zero I would have gave them thatTake care of America and watch out for these people. They're just like the people who stole all that money in michigan or minnesota, one of them, but you know what I mean

Carfax touts itself as a fact finder…

Carfax touts itself as a fact finder and providing trusted information on vehicle history, however when it comes up short and incorrect, offers no reasonable timeframe nor method other than an email contact to correct the information. They are slow to respond, they do not read submitted information, and they do not seem to take inaccuracies seriously.

Carfax charges you and provides nothing

Carfax will charge you for a report and not deliver anything. There is no way to reach a human representative for support. I am having to dispute their charges now with my credit card company. Avoid these shysters at all costs.

This company provides false information…

This company provides false information and has no documentation to support the information they provide. On my car fax report it was cited I had 2 accidents with my car.I only had one accident with a repaint job from the repair of the first accident. The second accident on the report does not site what damage was done to the car- because there was not a 2nd accident.I filed a claim with car fax and they never got back to me.They must have a deal with car dealers to report erroneous information giving the dealer ammunition to decrease value of a trade in. Car fax must get a kick back from the dealer from the extra money the dealer made by providing a much lower value on the car.I will not stop here. I will go to the BBB. I will request documentation citing Car Fax ‘s invalid claims on my car.

Inaccurate report and the worst customer service

I was selling a vehicle and the buyer did a carfax report which showed showed an item called "reported damage" with no details whatsoever, which I know is incorrect. I went to the Carfax website to report the inaccuracy and they they emailed me back saying they would research and report back. I waited several days and sent another email because the buyer was waiting for the answer. In all, I sent three emails requesting an answer. I NEVER got an answer or email explaining where the information came from. I was very upfront with the buyer about all the repairs and maintenance of the vehicle, including providing my records. I almost lost the sale, but fortunately the buyer believed me after forwarding the emails I had sent to CARFAX. He also said he had heard that CARFAX can be inaccurate as well. CARFAX could be a great service if the were more accurate and responsive to customers who find discrepancies with their reports. CARFAX needs to be more responsible as they are hurting honest people who are trying to sell a car. At this point, I don't think you can fully rely on a CARFAX report and for the cost, I don't think it worth it.

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service! I bought one report (almost 50.00) and couldn’t access their website. Tried to tell someone but it’s all animated. No live bodies to talk to. I guess I’m out 50 bucks. Don’t do it! You’ve been warned!

Carfax's website sucks

Carfax's website sucks. When you put all the information in for a search, then click on a result, then go back, you lose all of your search information. There is no way to save your searches. Ill shop elsewhere.

Outrageous pricing

I understand charging for a report, they've got to make money I guess... but 50 dollars FOR ONE REPORT????? 100 for FOUR?????Absolutely insane. Holding anyone not rich enough at gvnpoint. Who can afford to pay that much for CAR REPORTS???? The whole point is to shop around!!!! Now you have to just pick one vehicle to check up on and PRAY you don't have to buy another report????? Screw that, I'd much rather just take my chance on buying a lemon than using this crappy service, whom everyone in the reviews already says provides seriously inaccurate information, anyway! At least Cars.com will give you a generic report for free. I was hoping to get a better one from Carfax as I've used it a lot in the past, but after seeing their new prices and what everyone says about their accuracy, you're joking if you think I'll be using it any time soon.

Used CarFax Report helped with Vehicle Purchase

Used CarFax Report to search history on Pre-Owned vehicles. Located a 2024 RAV4 at AutoNation Toyota Tempe. Met with Internet Mgr - Eddie K who showed me the vehicle and took test drive. Helped secured financing options and drive it home in less than 2 hours. CarFax Report and Eddie K made it worth my research and time. Highly recommend

Unfair Deactivation of Dealer Accounts

Be very careful with this company. They advertise an “unlimited” dealer account, but once you actually use it, they claim unusual activity and shut the account down. Dealing with them is extremely difficult, and this behavior will likely cost them many dealers. Then they want to monitor the account like you are some child and not an adult.
