If you're in the LA area, Demetrio and Nicole are the best bachata instructors to start learning bachata from! I've taken 4 of their masterclasses and innumerous classes on Sundays and Wednesdays that they offer at Steven's Steakhouse and I always have something new to learn from them! Not only are they talented, but they are also kind and light spirited. Demetrio's bonus wittiness makes every class fun and enjoyable. Highly recommend you check out their classes especially if you're a beginner trying to learn the fundamentals of Bachata. Recently took their Dominican/Traditional Masterclass and I'm hoping they offer the second part later this year :)

Quality content, but I asked for a refund
I bought it accidentally and since the order went through I checked out a few classes. Content is really great, from what I saw the steps and explanations are done very professionally. I asked for a refund and just like they say in their advertising, they didn't ask me any questions and refunded me. Maybe I will buy in the future if I need some men styling lessons :)

Great on nuanced details
I love how Demetrio and Nicole show each lesson from multiple angles allowing me to pick up nuanced details that can sometimes be missed in a packed real life class. Having the lessons grouped and recommended in different ways lets me make more targeted progress through the course when I'm trying to focus on specific things. Lastly the bonuses are a .. bonus! eg. the song list sure comes in handy!

Vast varietyMy boyfriend has been taught in domenican but I haven't had a lesson in bachata before.I am trained in other styles, so I had a bit of a clue what to do but most of the time I was impovising. Very good video lessons for dance
Very good video lessons for dance. Easy to follow and fun. Demetrius and Nicole are excellent instructors. Both show the steps, slow it down and then increase the tempo.The videos are professional and show the steps at different angles to make the moves and turns easier to learn.I would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn dance. My course also included Salsa lessons. I am enjoying that very much.

Best bachata teaching instruction for both lead and follow
This teaching instructors combination of the lead and follow is very interactive and is made clear and easy . They don’t leave any doubt on the instructions . It’s more costly and takes longer time to improve by taking physical lessons compared to this online course.

Amazing dance class!
I tried learning at a local school. BUT was left feeling robotic and fearful. Thankfully I found Demetrio and Nicole online. Their simple, professional style can make it a breeze for people with different learning abilities. I love the way the course is designed, each class broken down into minute moves, style and steps given due importance. Students just need to be consistent in practising and they'll notice an uplevel in their dancing. I thoroughly enjoyed my class and highly recommend them.

Great course for beginner and…
Great course for beginner and intermediate level. Very good and comprehensive explanation. I like many modules in this course covering all parts of dance area, not only moves, but musicality and styling which are also important. Of course great to have both sensual and dominican style covered in this course. For me no topic left behind. For those who do know what lesson to do first is very helpfull bachata method module guided you through many diffent parts like way to your goal. Only one thing I miss is more musicality examples.

These guys are excellent. The courses/modules are presented extremely well by Demetrio and Nicole. Courses have a heap of tutorial videos that are clear and easy to follow. I had been going to some Bachata and Salsa classes before I found Bachata Academy Online (so I had basic skills and experience). But these tutorials did show me certain areas that I had either missed or overlooked. The progressions within the course were structured really well and they have helped me to gain a lot more confidence with my dancing.

I use to think that dancing wasn't for me
I use to think that dancing wasn't for me because it's something that I just wasn't at all comfortable with and I didn't think it was something I could easily learn. But recently I came across bachata dance academy online and it has totally changed things for me for the better when it comes to dancing. The thing I enjoy the most is that the course is very straightforward and simple to follow. I believe anyone can go through this course and be successful if they watch all the videos and listen to all the tips given by the instructors. But one of the great things about this course is that it also allows you to keep in touch with the instructors and the community via the Facebook group. So if you have any questions or concerns you always have access to help along the way. Thanks to this I'm continuing to go through the rest of the course with ease , my dance steps are improving with more and more practice, and my confidence high. I would highly recommend this course to others.

The ideal Bachata course for beginners
At the time of purchasing their courses we were just beginning to get into Bachata. Hands down they were the course that kept us on track. Detailed, clear and informative. Not too difficult and not to simple. All the fancy decorative moves that only professional dancers can do, stripped away to make the steps functional and when need be add a little flavour. I wish more courses were like this. I highly recommend it for beginners

Master teachers with a killer syllabus
What I like most about Demitrio and Nicole is that they've compiled a syllabus that any master teacher would be proud of. It progresses logically as it layers the more complex figures on top of the basics, which a lot of instructors aren't that good at. Many great dancers leave a lot to be desired when it comes to teaching. But this team breaks things down beautifully. They take the time to explain when a demonstration alone can't suffice. Finally, the combination of the modern sensual style with the traditional is exactly what I was looking for.
