Asbestos claim
Helena and her colleagues where very informative throughout the whole process, explaining all the forms and a step-by-step guide as to what was required, what information was required assisted with communication with different areas such as the worker compensation group, guided us with the right information and avenues to follow. During the process open disclosure was carried out from start to finish, Helena made phone calls to Australia to explain the steps even though the time difference did not suit her. Compassion was shown after my father passed away suddenly towards the final stages of the claim, but this was carried on for my mum. The settlement that was given was a great surprise we didn't expect that amount even though Helena gave an estimate from previous claims. All fees and charges were exactly what Helena told us at the start no win no fee was exact. I highly recommend Helena and her colleagues to anyone that feels they may be entitled to similar claims.

From first enquiry to final payment of claim it was a very professional ,but personal experience. James was the lead contact, he explained each part of the claim process. It was a long process because the company i was claiming from had ceased to trade, but the end result compensated for this. i would not hesitate to recomend the service given to anyone.

When diagnosed with Mesothelioma
When diagnosed with Mesothelioma and reading the medical posts on the internet the first reaction is panic! Incurable and six to eighteen months life expectancy are frightening words to read. The next reaction in my case is how can I provide for my family and put my affairs in order. I was blessed with immediate Immunotherapy treatment which calmed the situation as my condition stabalised and bought me time to think. I was advised by a French doctor to seek compensation as Mesothelioma is classed as an industrial injury. I dismissed this possibility as I had only one employment age 15 to 60 and in my own families business. Also I lived and was treated in France not the UK. I researched specialist solicitors in the UK and as a northern boy chose to contact James Cameron in Chester. Our first detailed phone contact was swiftly dealt with and the details of my case satisfied James Cameron that there was possibly a case to pursue. ALL matters over a 2 years period have been dealt with on line, by telephone, text and by post. The team at Oliver and Co have become friends who care. I cannot say that the process of making a claim is simple however with James Cameroons careful guidance the various witness statements, forms and medical reports were manageable. The end results in my case have given financial stability to my last years and lifted this pressure from myself and my family. This alone helps patients fight this dreadful disease.I will be eternally grateful that I chose James Cameron and Oliver and Co as my Solicitors and highly recommend the team to anyone suffering from an from an industrial disease.

We engaged Helena Cameron of Oliver & Co, to pursue a claim on behalf of our Dad who was exposed to asbestos during the late 1960’s early 1970’s on building sites in London. At the time of the claim he was living in Ireland. Our Dad lived long enough to receive an interim payment of £50K, and more importantly he passed away knowing that the defendant excepted responsibility for causing his illness. His final award was £192K leaving our Mum comfortable for the rest of her life. Helena ‘held our hands’ all the way through this difficult time and made the process as easy as possible for us. Mesothelioma legal case
