I found several self-publishing…
I found several self-publishing companies online and chose to work with Whitman BookWorks. My book just launched on Amazon, and I couldn't be happier.Ivan Garcia, my project manager, was so patient with me. I must have emailed or called him daily for weeks. He is knowledgeable and follows through in a timely manner. I will definitely work with Whitman again.

This is a bad company
This is a bad company. They will take your money and provide little value. I gave them an initial fee of $599 for what they advertised online as marketing support. They did not begin, much less finish, this work before they started milking me for thousands more. They did not read my book and therefore could not produce graphics that reflected the story, much of which they placed on social media without my knowledge or permission. They did not produce or accomplish the majority of what we agreed to and further, would not discuss with me a refund even though they had promised that up front. In the end, they accounted for zero additional book sales and were a complete waste of time and money.

A complete scam
A complete scam. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I paid them $900 for an audiobook format for my title. They promised a "real" narrator. However, it was obviously AI when I got chapters to review. They claimed to have their audiobooks on Amazon, etc. BUT, Amazon does not allow AI audiobooks on their site. I decided to get the audiobook as close as possible to sounding real (I was already into this for $900), and had revision after revision from my "representative" who called himself "Nathan". After 6 MONTHS OF THIS BS, I said for "Nathan" to just produce the audiobook AS IS so that it could find its way onto a platform...wherever that would be. That is when I heard nothing back. I have sent emails from their web site....no response. I have called their two phone numbers...one always goes to phone mail, and the other is not supported at all. Nothing from them now at all. So, I was dumb and didn't research this BS ahead of time. I'm out $900. But, my revenge is to slam them on social media, and beg you all to NOT USE THESE THIEVES!!!!!!

I would give it a zero if possible
I would give it a zero if possible. Started off with decent expectations with a very good initial conversation. Went completely shouse after I made the initial payment. My so-called project manager was useless. Didn't do anything that I requested. Didn't do anything I'd ask for. I was supposed to be set up with an interview on FaceTime with some whatever book podcast people and the link they gave me didn't work. When I asked for a refund for that, the company went radio silent. I'm pretty sure the majority of the people that work there are illegal. Anyway, don't work with this company under any circumstance. I have tried to reach out with you a text message, phone call, email for almost a month and a half and no one has responded.

Whitman's agents do not listen to their clients.
The agent assigned to my project repeatedly failed to listen to my stated goals of getting my existing books listed on Amazon. Instead, they went off trying to publish in China or someplace other than selling my inventory. Repeatedly asking stupid questions such as did I want to sell a few books or millions were grade-school tactics. The "closer" got on the line for an hour-long push to sell me on a $15,000 package that would do everything I had been told I would get for $450. After much yelling, I had to hang up. The net result was a lot of frustration and some pretty graphics, using my own images.
