I had about 10 days til I had to…
I had about 10 days til I had to surrender to the bop and I reached out to Justin and his team about helping with my release plan and planning while I was at the facility. They went to work immediately on helping me create my plan and helping me come up with a game plan while I’m in and my plan when I get out and start working. I was still waiting on where I was going and it looked like I was going to just surrender to the Marshals office which would’ve been a nightmare to sit in transit for 2-3 mos but Justin and his team had that expedited for me and 2 days later they had me assigned to a satellite camp. I can’t thank them enough for the communication and hard work to help me. This is a wonderful community. Thanks again!

The best outcome possible…
Hello Justin, I want to thank you Michael , Brad, and everybody at White collar and prison professors. I’m still taking it in because I never thought this could happen but you told me back in September that I could possibly get probation and I didn’t believe it because my lawyer said I was going to jail, but I did what you said I did the work, and it all paid off in the end. My lawyer was very surprised with allThe work I put in. The probationary officer was surprised that my narrative was so good (Brad helped me with) and before the PSR, I filled out all the information that I downloaded offline. The judge complemented me on everything I was doing, including my volunteer work, my cooperation, and my pleasant demeanor and my character letters ( I turned in 13 but that’s because 3 of my kids wrote one each which the judge commented on, you have to read them. They did an amazing job.). Even the prosecution, which I was shocked, asked for the guideline sentence but then said Mr. Gibson is not a threat or we don’t think that he’s going to reoffend so we do agree with the guideline sentence but we also think a lesser sentence might be warranted so everything lined up. Everything went well, I want to thank you again because without your help and your knowledge, I will not be here. I did everything you said, I’ve been on every webinar And I have a site on prison professors. I took tax classes. I did everything I could do and they seen the type of person I was and not for the crime that I committed. I just wanna thank you again because I was facing 12 to 18 months after my plea for 1 count aiding and abetting preparation of false tax returns and the judge only gave me 2 years of probation. You were the person that actually told me that I can change the outcome and it worked that so thank you..

Get started on your mitigation immediately.
The feds raided me in 2023 and my lawyer Diane Bass told me to call White Collar Advice. On my first call with Justin he asked me, “what is success for you?” I told him I have a wife and five kids and I wanted to use this time the right way and do everything I could to get the best outcome. He asked, “how do you do that?” I said I wasn’t sure, that’s why Diane told me to call. He said, “you create something that doesn’t exist. An asset, a story, something to build on. The government is creating, so should you. There’s no other way to change how they see you.”So I did. I built my life story and timeline, a release plan, more than 100 hours of volunteer work, and I wrote my book Recalibrate. I got involved with their nonprofit because I wanted to help people in prison and back the policy work they’re doing. At home my wife and kids could see I was working, not just sitting around waiting. I also started sharing my story on Instagram and people reach out to me there all the time.Probation wanted 36 months. Judge Holcomb gave me a year and a day and he discussed my volunteer work with Prison Professors and speaking at USC Business School with Justin. Even if I had gotten the 36, the last couple years have been fulfilling and productive through a tough situation. The sooner you get prepared for life after prison the better. The team helped me use my time the right way.One more thing. After sentencing these prison consultants started calling, telling me they could do this or that. Former BOP staff too. They all claimed to do things they never actually did. Do your due diligence. Confirm people can really help you and that they’ve done it before. The right team makes a big difference. I am so thankful to this team I have referred them to at least 10 people who found me on Instagram. I don’t take a penny. I just want others to get the same help I did.If you want to talk, I’m here until I go to prison on October 10. Feel free to write me at Lompoc.Mathew Bowyer

Justin’s wisdom, compassion, and steady presence gave me the strength to face challenges I never thought I could overcome. His team treated me with dignity, never judgment, and their practical guidance paired with genuine care made all the difference. It's never too late to start
I thought that I didn't have any time to make an impact before my sentencing. I found White Collar Advice about a month and a half before my sentencing date and thought I had no time left. I'm glad Justin and Tayana reached out to let me know that I needed to do something and there was always time to act, and that it's never too late. I started with their plan and it's helped tremendously. I still haven't been sentenced, the date was pushed out, but I feel more confident knowing that I have tried and I'm continuing to do so, I'm creating assets and regardless of the outcome, I'm making an effort for myself and I have a plan for the future. More than happy with the experience, don't hesitate, don't think about it, just act - now!

When I reached out to White Collar…
When I reached out to White Collar Advice, I was a terrified, anxious, nervous wreck because I had just accepted a plea agreement with the DOJ. I hired them to help me with my Release Plan and my Personal Narrative. Scotty and Joseph provided me with much needed moral support while Cillian helped me draft the Release Plan and Personal Narrative. I was facing 12-18 months per sentencing guidelines, but was sentenced to 6 months by a federal judge. During sentencing, the judge even quoted something I wrote in my narrative in a positive light. I have no doubt that the work with White Collar Advice played a major role in getting a sentence below the guidelines.

My advice, engage this team
I, like many of you reading this review never thought in their wildest dreams they would be considering this type of service. My advice, engage this team! My experience with White Collar Advice was excellent. Take advantage of their free resources, read the books written by their team members, attend the weekly teleconferences, and consume the content on this website and social media platforms. I engaged the team to help craft a personal narrative and letters of recommendation. My lawyer said "that's what I do" and seemed a little bit against the idea, but I pushed and engaged the team. After reviewing the work provided by Justin and his team and the sentence imposed by the Judge, my lawyer felt the work was high quality and "made a meaningful impact on the Judge and his decision" and "was some of the most impactful and personal letters I have seen in my career". At the conclusion of my journey, I received a very positive outcome.

I worked with the team at White Collar…
I worked with the team at White Collar Advice and hired them to help me with my narrative and character reference letters. Scotty interviewed my friends and worked with them to create letters that spoke directly to my situation in a way a judge could relate to. I don’t have time for much right now, I’m busy getting everything in order before I surrender, but the help was invaluable. They also helped me plan how to prepare myself for prison in ways I never would have thought of on my own. I ended up getting an outcome that I’m happy with. Six months at a camp on six months on home confinement. The good news is I will make it home to my family as soon as possible and put this all behind me.

With Gratitude and Respect
Hiring WCA/Justin Paperny is my #1 advice for anyone facing a federal investigation. Their real world guidance and my son acting on their advice shortened his sentence by at least one half or more. Just as importantly they saved our sanity throughout the long, frightening, arduous journey with their deep knowledge and compassion. For anyone reading this I can not stress enough that a competent lawyer PLUS WCA is crucially the combination needed when dealing with The Federal Government. You only have one opportunity to do this right. With deep gratitude and respect,Nancy Steier

Just when I thought I was done with my stuff to surrender next week, then the new stuff comes up. The team is always there to assist me. Scott Carper went out of his way to make sure that my last days before I surrender were as good as they could be. Scott really went above and beyond!

Hope provided when I needed it the most
When I finally reached out to the team at White Collar Advice I was nervous that I had found them to late in my process. I was 2 weeks away from my sentence hearing and I hadn't properly prepared my Sentencing Narrative. But Tayana was honest and transparent with me and she made sure that the team at White Collar Advice jumped right in and provided me all the resources and support to begin building what was missing and gave me a community I could learn from daily. They gave me the confidence to create and build for my future no matter what the outcome at sentencing is! Thank you Tayana and Justin for providing me hope when sometimes I felt like no one was there for me!

Empowered by Knowledge, Supported with Heart
We are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance we received. From the very beginning, Justin & Cillian listened to us with understanding, compassion, and—most importantly—without judgment. Navigating the prison system can feel overwhelming and isolating, but this team made sure we never felt alone in the process. They took the time to truly get to know us—our situation, our goals, and our concerns. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, they helped us build a personalized action plan that addressed the programs available, how to make the most of prison time, and how to prepare for life during and after incarceration. Their knowledge of the system is exceptional, and they shared it in a way that made everything feel manageable and clear. The entire staff was warm, professional, and genuinely invested in helping ease the burden we were carrying. Their dedication goes far beyond business—they care, and it shows. We were even connected with other members of the staff with experiences that closely aligned with our situation so we can better prepare. At every exchange, we walked away feeling empowered, informed, and less afraid of some of what’s ahead. If you’re navigating this difficult road, in any stage of the journey, please give them a call!

"Grateful for the Roadmap to Redemption"
Dear Justin and the White-Collar Advice & Prison Professors Team,I hope you’re all doing well. I want to sincerely thank you for the profound impact you’ve had on my life. Since receiving my 60-month sentence, it’s been a journey of regret, fear, and reflection. Your honesty, content, and guidance gave me clarity, hope, and direction when I needed it most.I regret not finding your program sooner. If I had known the power of personal narratives, character letters, and courtroom preparation, I might have shown the court who I truly am. But instead of dwelling on that, I’m focused on growth—thanks to your leadership.Your work taught me my story isn’t over. I’ve created a release plan, committed to RDAP, and started journaling daily to track my mindset and actions. I’m reading, reflecting, and working daily to become a better version of myself. This time will not be wasted.I’m also building a post-release plan centered on mentorship and speaking, to help others navigate the path I’ve walked. I believe in earning my second chance—not just through programs, but through consistent proof of change.Justin, your story lit the way. To everyone behind the scenes—thank you. You've given me tools I didn’t know I needed and helped me believe in redemption.I’m committed to paying it forward and showing that prison can be the beginning of something better. With gratitude,John Ageudo RodriguezJ.
