Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company! They lure you in and claim to be a military friendly company. Their rates change and surprise you with almost double the fees. Then the communication stops. I’ve never been so stressed out in my life! Then when you canceled the contract, they blow up your emails and accuse you of being the problem. Look out is all I can say! Do your research on this company! I’m still trying to get my $1100 that I’ve invested as down payments back. I had to last minute scramble to get a new moving company who within two days, came out and made everything happen. Never once did the driver of this new company stop communicating with me. I highly recommend you reach out to North Atlantic Van Lines. I guarantee they’ll take great care of you.

1 year ago, this company ruined my life. The "movers" stole half of what I own, and damaged the other half. Took 1 month to show up at the destination, and have made no effort whatsoever to compensate me. Since my 65 year old wife with severe asthma had to sleep on the floor for a month, she fractured a rib, and has had endless doctor appointments. Been to the ER 8 times and blames me for engaging with this so called company. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

United American Moving and Storage and their team were professional

United American Moving and Storage and their team were professional and pleasant from start to finish. Mr. Rolando communicated clearly both over the phone and in person. His team also communicated well. ensuring everything I wanted moved was handled properly. They were careful with my furniture and made sure not to damage any walls. I highly recommend them.

No contact, undelivered items

Update: we are now at 41 calendar days and 28 business days with still no response or call back from either company.20 days now, and still waiting for my items to be delivered.Do not allow United American to set up your move. They are a broker. They hired a horrible company in California called MNS transport.MNS is a rip off company. They packed the truck in a way to make it appear I had more items than I really had. They did this by not stacking any furniture. And packing boxes all around to give the appearance they stacked it to the top. When in fact they didn't.Then they force you to pay extra. For me. They wanted another 3K. After arguing about there packing they dropped it down to 1500 extra. I was locked in and stuff already on truck and had no choice but to pay.I shouldn't have. Because since that date. I have had zero contact from them. They only respond via text, saying they are working on getting a truck to go to my new destination.United has refused to respond back to my multiple phone calls and voicemails left about this issue. They are now 1 full week over there promised delivery date, with no one willing to call me back to explain why, or offer any kind of compensation.I moved my family ro virginia. We are now out here for over 2 weeks with none of our belongings. Sitting on the floor, and sleeping on air mattresses we had to buy in order to sleep at night.Do not use this company. As soon as they get there money and load the truck. They disappear. First off. The promise of 24/7 contact is only up until they take your stuff.

I provided a complete and accurate…

I provided a complete and accurate inventory list including measurements of each item. I was assured by Roxie that my binding quote would not change unless my inventory changed. I was sent a quote of the original agreed upon and signed binding quote price. The truck that was supposed to pick up our inventory never showed up. I tried calling Roxie several times, but she was unavailable. All calls go to voicemail and the only response you get is by text. She does not call you back. We had to wait an additional 6 hours on the day of the move before I was able to get in touch with another driver (who would come from LA). By this time, it was 9PM. On the day of the move, I was charged more ($600.00 more from the original quoted price). We explained to them that there was nothing different in the inventory that was sent to Roxy, but their explanation was that he was told by his boss that they needed to fill the truck and take up more space, thus charging us more, so we had to pay their price to continue. When I asked the driver when we can expect to have our delivery to the new relocation, I was told that it would take 2 weeks. I have been told to call gthe driver ( Frankie) who oversees the moving. I am always getting the shaft, repeatedly telling me he will get me an ETA when he does not. He is still owed almost $1000.00 but at this point I do not think I will see any of my stuff. My husband is disabled, and we had his mobility scooter, adjustable bed, etc. transported because we could not do it by car. I have repeatedly tried to contact United American only to be told by Roxy to call the driver, that she no deliverty information and ...... A bunch of bull. Roxy was the person who was in charge of coordinating and making sure that the move went without a hitch. That has not happened. as she and the others who work for this company take no responsiblity. Once they take your money, you cannot reach anyone either by email or phone. Then we were told it would take 30 business days before we would have our delivery from California. Well folks here it is November 5th, and we still do not have our inventory (well over the 30 business days of August 26th). I have been more than patient with explanations from this transport company ( i/e maintenance for 2 weeks, truck breakdown, etc,etc.). One excuse after another. This is a predatory and very shifty company. They claim they are veteran, and family owned. If they are, then they are giving Veterans everywhere a bad name by their business practices. The only reason we went with them was because they were veteran owned, and they claimed they had a 5 Star rating. BEWARE. DO NOT USE THEM. They will rip you off like they did me.I don't trust this company anymore. We have invested a lot of money into this move only to be swindled by a company such as this. They will promise you anything. Once they get your money and the transaction is completed, they will abandon you They do not deserve a 5-star rating. So far, I have requested a refund, as they have not delivered on a service and that has not happened as of this date.

RUN DO NOT USE

RUN! Do not use these guys they are total crooks!Similar to other reviews left here they pulled their M.O. I provided their agents a complete and accurate inventory list including measurements of each item down to the inch. I was assured that my binding quote would not change unless my inventory count changed after talking to their agent on the phone for 2 hours. One week before my moving date I was send a quote with a markup up of over 90% of the originally agreed upon and signed binding quote price. Their only explanation is that their software did not account for the actual cubic feet even though I provided them with ALL the measurements. Absolute bait and switch SHIFTY company. They tried to offer me $1000 off because I called them out on their predatory and unacceptable behavior. However, I don't trust this company at all in the slightest and refused. I was left scrambling for another moving company with only a few days left before my move and a lot of money invested.I've requested a charge back from my bank on the full deposit amount, as United American Moving and Storage has refused to refund my deposit amount.I was really looking forward to supporting a veteran owned business as I am in a military family myself. This company completely lacks integrity.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. There have been 30 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 years. Unfortunately, I did not find out about that until after my horrendous experience with this company. My property was picked up on July 4, 2024. I was told that because it was a move of 2000 miles or more the company had 21 business days for delivery. When I inquired what date that would be, I was shuffled from Roxy, Amanda, Shannon, Brandon to each other and never given an answer, This company contracted with MNS transport who's point person is "Frankie". 21 days came and went. Then "Frankie" told me that I contracted for 30 days storage. Total LIE. I waited 2 1/2 months for delivery getting the run around and finally just ignored. When the delivery came it was only 1/2 my stuff and there were damaged items. I made a police report and waited a total of 3 months to receive the totality of my stuff. The second delivery driver Called me at 1 a.m and demanded to deliver at that time. Keep in mind the delivery also includes putting furniture back together. When I said this was unacceptable, without telling me, the driver dumped my stuff in the parking lot/sidewalk of my apartment building in the rain and left it there. I discovered it there when I went outside in the morning. More damaged and missing items. I asked for my money back for the entire experience and was told that to ask for that is unfathomable. I have pictures, texts, emails of all of this.

DONT IGNORE BAD REVIEWS

DONT IGNORE BAD REVIEWSABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY, first off they have many if not all good reviews that are fake. Secondly they lie to get you to sign no matter what it takes. I asked if they use their own trucks, Dan responded yes, “they have a port all through the us” bullshi. Secondly, they give 30 days from the first delivery date then pay $30 each day after. Or like Dan said “the department of transportation gives us 21 days” (That didn’t happen) we had to pay in full. Picked up June 25, and our stuff finally got here Sept 26, funniest part is that our stuff sat in warehouse in LA being tossed around while nobody wanted to answer calls. We had a motorcycle that was dropped, mirrors broken, etc, tv broken ripped bags. This company isn’t worth using. Roxy is complete useless. Dan pushed us off to Frankie., but Frankie (who is supposedly im charge of MNS Transport)would straight up lie to me. I had a AirTag the whole time all of them would lie and say my stuff was on the way. Just so happen to be another trucker looking for loads that took our stuff to FL. Seriously just rent a truck or you’ll get screwed.-

Broker Company takes no responsibility to honor contracts

This is a broker company that claims to use only five companies that are insured. Well the one they used for our move has an F with Better Business Bureau (The company mishandled and broke several items, there are scratches and gouges on almost all our wood furniture, and they damaged our porch stairs during loading). We signed an updated contract with United American that they failed communicate to the moving company (Alpha Moving) which included a better rate and a second down payment. We were forced to overpay $2437 and United American won't even return our calls to help correct the situation.

I booked with them to pick up my items…

I booked with them to pick up my items and deliver from Portland, OR to Kyle, TX on 8/19/2024. James booked my order and assured that I had plenty of space for my items. upon arrival I was told it would cost an additional $800. They took 24 days to deliver and once they got here not only were they 4 hours late but they complained that they couldn't get around the roundabout in the neighborhood and would have to deliver the next day and it could potentially cost double. After telling us it would cost and additional $100 they delivered some but not all of my things. 2 tv's 65inch and 75inch were missing as well as my king size bed frame. the delivered someone else's dresser and box of fragile items. The delivery guy told me to keep the dresser as a gift because no one else had called for them anyway. After promising they'd find our items in the warehouse they left assuring me it would be taken care of. Upon calling the boss he told me he'd try to find out items but if he couldn't the insurance would pay 60 cent per pound. I did not even pick that insurance. the guy who booked it picked everything. He told me whatever he wanted to get our business then scammed us. The other business involved is new life relocation however I'm not sure this company exists. The number I called said he is not the same company and that these guys must e scammers cause it gets so many calls from people looking for them.(The response they gave to this review is a complete lie. I shipped no sofa, dining room table or chairs, no mini fridge (i dont even own one) and only 2 TV'S which they originally lost. Our bedframe and TV'S were found and delivered this past week but our frame was severely damaged. The guy said the insurance only pays 60 cent per pound. Which again, I did not get a choice on the insurance it was picked for me. I also bought both TV boxes as I was told. The contract is no where to be found. The guy James made it seem like this was his company when they are actually brokers. I had no clue they were using a different company to transport my items. These people were also nearly impossible to get in contact with after the incident. When i finally spoke with someone (not james) he flat out told me "we're not going to do anything about it." They do not care about you once you pay your money. A scam is when you are promised one thing and you don't get what you paid for. Yes, they relocated us but did not set up anything as was promised and said they are not even allowed to set up anything. James promised a bunch of lies to get our business only to under deliver. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!)

Three months Ghosted!

I was contacted by Dan, of United American Moving and Storage about the possibility of their firm handling my move to West Virginia from Washington State. I only had boxes to move, no furniture, and the rate quoted was comparable to my renting a U-Haul trailer so I decided to go ahead and contract with UAM&S. In our initial conversation, I was led to believe that I was contracting for space on a regulation semi-truck and trailer rig. When moving day arrived, it was two sketchy young men in a used surplus U-Haul box truck. Too late to back out, as I was up against my move-out date, and the deposit check had been paid, so I went ahead. So far, so good, but then the nightmare started. I was completely ghosted by this crew for the next three months in trying to find out where in the "Heck" their truck and my life's possessions had gotten off to. Dan, who I discovered to my complete dismay was merely acting as a broker for these guys, and although sympathetic, seemed to have no actual control over them. At the three-month mark, I threatened to involve the Washington and West Virginia State Attorney Generals in my efforts, and surprise, surprise, contact was made with the two sketchy guys. Long story short, my UAM&S guaranteed firm price fell by the wayside, and I ended up being charged an extra C-note, some boxes were damaged, and some were simply gone. Still, I considered myself lucky in the deal, after going online and discovering these and other reviews. There is a lot more that I found out about this group, but it would fill a small book, so we will drop the story here. The move began in August of 2023, and I didn't receive my goods until November. This review is so late in arriving here, because I simply wanted to have everything go away. Well, it didn't. It kept creeping back into my mind over and over for the past nine months. Maybe in writing this review, I can now finally get some rest. Beware of this firm.

I am writing this with tears in my eyes…

I am writing this with tears in my eyes due to frustration. I initially spoke with James we discussed everything..elevator at storage and elevator at my new address was told no elevator fees…the mover arrives in a U-Haul type truck puts my stuff in there and tells my sister it’s being transferred to a warehouse? WTH! Was never told that by James…the guy also charges me an elevator fee and long haul fee an extra 175.00! I immediately call n text Roxy and James and they both claim they couldn’t get into my file..they then say if it’s 100 feet to elevator my sister made a video to show they pulled the truck pretty much right up to the elevator…now my furniture will be sitting somewhere till they have a full load to come to Philadelphia from Las Vegas…was never advised that was the process I wish I would of went with another broker..I’ve never experienced this before with a cross country move.. praying I get my furniture🙏🏽 just horrible experienceThe response is BS and the picture of the contract from the mover shows elevator fee…also it’s Oct 2nd and the mover just called me to tell me they will bringing my belongings on Oct 4th and I have to pay an additional 550.00 dollars stay away from this brokerage and don’t believe a word they sayAnd I have not hear from them since August beginning of September…they are full of it

I had a 10x30 storage unit and every moving company wanted an exact inventory, which I knew could lead to price increases if I forgot something. United American Moving and Storage made it easy by offering a flat rate. Everything went smoothly, and I got straight delivery. The entire process was hassle-free, and I’m extremely satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!

I had to move both my two-bedroom apartment and my father’s one-bedroom apartment, which was just 5 miles down the road. United American Moving and Storage didn't charge extra for the additional stop. There was an additional $200 charge for my father's TV boxes, but other than that, everything was great. The movers were efficient and professional, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend!
