Very Bad Customer Service

I purchased a garden chair for my mother from this rip off merchant which was sold as brand new. What arrived was a severely damaged box with a garden chair that was scratched and damaged in two places which clearly indicated an either previously used or an ex-display model. I immediately contacted customer services who were so disrespectful beyond belief, practically calling me and my mother liars.These cowboys are selling seconds as new for very expensive prices and not adhering to you Customer Rights. Please avoid this company at all costs as you will receive substandard goods and have to fight for a refund.

Terrible, disappointing product and customer service

Terrible service and disappointing/damaged product. I have only given them one star because I have had too. I was looking for a robust Garden Love Seat for my 85 year old Mum to enjoy her garden while she is unable to go out anywhere due to lockdown. I researched what was out there and settled on one from UK-Gardens, it was not cheap and a Heavy Duty wood, so I was expecting a quality product. How wrong! It arrived on time as requested, but the box was badly damaged and on getting the seat out it has to be put together, it looked in a sorry state, dusty, dirty and a few marks and scratches on it, looking more like a second than q quality product, but I was prepared to overlook these and think when put together and cleaned up it could look different. The very last part of the seat as it was finally put together had 4 holes drilled in the wrong places so it was obviously a second or not been packed correctly. I cleaned it up and because of the troubles with COVID and my Mum was looking forward to receiving her bench, I contacted UK gardens, this was through email as I gave up trying to get them on the phone. I was asking for a credit and although the bench was damaged with the extra holes and a few scratches I would be prepared to keep it if an agreement could be made on a slight refund. Three emails they finally came back to me and asked for more photos (I had already sent several) since then and despite more polite emails I am now being ignored, hence this review. I was sent a damaged and dirty product that was not cheap, they have ignored emails and request for contact. Do not purchase anything from this company. They are also part of the SLK Retail and Consultancy Ltd who have other sites as longboxes and fashionworld so be aware of these also.
