Went to Turner's in SanDiego to purchase an ad item.Citadel Boss Shot Gun ,Went through the DROS Process and got the 30 day delay process and then got Undetermined outcome.Had this happen 9times out of the last 10 firearm purchases here in San Diego over a 3 year period??? But all other FFL,s released the firearm to me!!! The losers at Turners denied Me the firearm??? WTF? I Guess they don't want business or they are in the pocket of the Commie Scum Newscum and Bonta !! Because it is totally legal to release on Undetermined??? So Yea Turners Has Lost My Buissnes For Life!!!!

Great experience, great deal

Carol with the e-commerce department at Turner's Outdoorsman was very helpful. I had a great experience with an online purchase of a handgun I found at a very good price. The product was shipped to my preferred FFL at my request since they were not initially in Turner's system. Carol provided great communication throughout the process and I got my gun in a few days. I took it to the range yesterday and couldn't be more pleased.

Went in person to the Pasanda location

Went in person to the Pasanda locationstopped by here the night before a fishing trip with a friend to pick up some stuff. I normally like ordering from tackle warehouse or going to a local place, but it was last second. The selection is overall really good. Prices are a little more than i expected, but not outrageous. The staff - while friendly and nice are not experts in everything and deffinitaltey not the fishing stuff.Just picked up a few things that i needed will order the rest online as usual.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. In town for a month went into store to buy complete fishing supplies to fish in the area while in the area and ship my new equipment home after my stay. Absolutely no help, service person could barely take his hands out of his pockets. I decided not to purchase anything there and went elsewhere and got great service and spent over $1000.00 dollars. Would recommend not wasting your time or effort at the business

Ive had a very bad experience for the…

Ive had a very bad experience for the first time in my long history as a customer of Turner’s Outdoorsman. I was picking up my gun and this sales lady by the name of Osiris Mendoza Pena, attended me, Ive noticed that she is kinda rude when I spoke to her, but I didnt mind at first, she typed the release form and I purchased bullets. I asked her if my copy of DROS/Dealer’s Record of Sale of Firearm will be signed by the sales person, she said yes, she then turn her back at me. After the release papers is done, Ive noticed that my copy isn't signed, so I asked her again in a polite way, ma’am who is going to sign my copy, then in a rude way, she replied, I wont sign it and I am not required to sign it, so I told her that all the guns that I purchased from Turner’s and other gun shops, all my copy of DROS/Dealer’s Record of Sale of Firearm are all signed by the sales person. So I asked her if she can call her manager, not knowing that her manager is also very rude and very unprofessional. Her manager told me that he cannot forced her to sign the document and that I should pick up my documents and leave the store. Well, this is very frustrating to experience this kind of treatment from a store I used to patronize. Now I am not gonna come back to this Turner’s Palmdale branch store anymore. Very disappointed, very bad customer service.

Good customer service

I have gone to the Stockton Ca, Tulare Ca and Fresno Ca locations and Ive always been treated nicely and in a helpful manner. I went in to look at a firearm. they were not busy so two ees gave me their opinions on the products. I ended up buying some ammo (no fingerprinting needed at that time). everything went perfectly. I even told any employee who'd listen that they were great compared to their competition, the big GREEN box store. I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service.

I found Christian Castellanos…

I found Christian Castellanos especially helpful, and patient. Also David the manager in Torrance is good, too, as is Brian H, and Adam. The only problem I had was the wait, and the paperwork. The paperwork is due to Calif. laws, not Turners, however.

I needed to buy some nightcrawlers to…

I needed to buy some nightcrawlers to go fishing for local trout and also was looking forward to treat myself to some new equipment. I went to the Turner's in Signal Hill and very disappointed when every container of live nightcrawlers were moldy and melted looking. The fishing clerk was talking withAnother worker...might have been the manager. He saw that I was looking at each carton of rotten worms and then told me that they were all like that. The manager guy said...I thought they just delivered some....and the other clerk said...no, they just serviced the frozen bait. So it seems that the fishing clerk knew about the rotten bait....but didnt bother to remove it and let the boss know to order more. What a joke! If I didnt check the bait first and just buy it...I would have gotten burned and screwed at the lake. Poor service and incompetent employees = no business. Oh....they advertise and want people to become a preferred Customer to get the better price on items...but cant manage to do simple tasks to run a business.

2-4 hour wait for ammo purchase

Makes no sense I have to wait 2 to 4 hours to make a 2 minute ammo purchase. There should be a designated turners employee for ammo purchases only or have a policy where when a employee is done with a fire arm purchase or pick up and is free, ask if there is any ammo only purchases.

Paid $15 on a $35 product

Paid $15 on a $35 product. Website said 4 day shipping. After 4 days it still had not shipped so I called customer service to ask for a refund on the shipping charge at least and was given the runaround. I wouldn't have ordered if this was the case. Product won't be here for another 10 days. Never ordering again. What a joke.

Careless Customer Service

I recently tried to purchase 2 firearms from Turner's and ended up having to walk away from the purchase, even losing $400 out of principle because I decided not to buy here after my experiences and what they chose to keep. I went to this location 3 times, the first 2 times I witnessed unhappy and frustrated gun buying customers and should have walked away, but I really wanted the guns. The first time was to make the purchase and process paperwork. The fella who helped must have had someone poop in his cereal that day cause he was not feeling his work or life in general that day. I will fully admit I made a mistake not knowing what day my cleared pickup day was for my first gun. I am an older father of two to young children and have young adults in college. I own and run 2 businesses and employ 15 people. It's my responsibility to assist all of them to the best of my abilities and to teach them customer service and what it means to our businesses. Turner's management has done the opposite. They had a choice to make 1 phone call, and it would be good or bad, and they chose the latter. Instead of taking 30- seconds to make a call reminding a busy customer or like myself, a mistaken customer that the purchase is available for pickup they choose to to make one call for 30-seconds to tell me everything I did wrong and it to late that I must pay again and start over. Fine, I except what I did wrong. Either way, you had one 30-second phone to make you choose for it to be the bad customer service version. I will keep my gun purchases with small gunshops that need and want to help their customers.

On 11/26/22 I went to the Turner store…

On 11/26/22 I went to the Turner store on Mohawk Drive in Bakersfield, and paid in full for a Kimber pistol that was on sale. A couple of days into the ten day waiting period, I received an unsigned form letter dated 12/1/22 from the DOJ stating that they were delaying the sale for thirty days while they investigate my identity and the possibility that the gun was stolen. The DOJ has done this on every gun I have purchased in the last two years and this makes three times, and my fingerprints were livescanned over a decade ago. The FFL I used on the previous two DOJ delays simply handed me my gun at expiration of the delay, since nothing was found as usual. Anyway, I received a phone call from Turner's on 12/26/22 wherein they stated the DOJ hold had expired without incident, but Turner's was choosing to cancel the sale anyway. They said they would be refunding my money LESS the $44.70 DROS fee ( $7.00 of which is Turner's own "service charge"). I protested that since it was Turner who was cancelling the sale, they should be the one who eats the DROS fee, but they stood firm. All they had left to do was hand me the gun that I arguably owned at that point, but they opted to cancel. So, I went to their store on 12/26/22 and returned two mags that I had previously bought for the gun I was now not getting. While I was there, I asked for the refund on the gun. They refused, stating that refund amounts over $500. had to be mailed to my address by corporate. They didn't say when that refund would come. So, now Turner has had the use of over $1,300. of my money for more than a month, and counting, and still intends to rip me off for the DROS fee they rendered useless. When I buy a gun from a customer friendly FFL, I will have to pay the DROS fees again. The DOJ is violating people's rights and Turner is helping them do it.

Just lost a long time customer of Turners

Long time customer of Turners. Purchased a 22 ca Browning pistol from the Ontario Store. Contacted Browning (the manufacturer) on a loading issue I am having with the pistol, and Browning stated that they will pay for the shipping back to them to check out the pistol, all I had to do was bring it to an FFL (Turners) and Turners would only have to call Browning so they could send Turners the shipping label. Went in and told the mgr this, and he insisted on charging me a $30 "shipping" charge, even though I told him that Browning would pay for this. I asked him if the $30 is a "handling" charge, and he flippantly told me that it is a shipping charge. I told him thanks, that I will bring it to another FFL that knows about not ripping off a customer for additional shipping charges, that I would not be buying anything from Turners again. You just lost a good customer.

Gun Transfers is not what the employee likes to do

Today we had a very bad experience at Turners Outdoors on Blackstone/ Bullard in Fresno. We wanted to share this with everyone. Our number got called by an employee named Phil, he asked what we was there for. We told him it was for a gun transfer. He rolled his eyes immediately and shook his head at us. I asked, Do you not want to service us? He told us, rudely that tranfers takes a long time to do and that he did not like to do them. He commented that was probably why they had asked him to come to the back to help out.He avoided my question and asked where our gun was. We told him it was with us. He said why we didn’t check it in. We told him no one asked us to. We explained that we carried it in the store for half an hour and not once did an employee or manager in the store inform us it had to be checked in first. Mind you, this is our first time doing a gun transfer ever. Rudely, he told us there is a posting at the door!!! I said, are you expecting all Turner customers to read all postings at the door prior to coming in? Again he avoided the question and babbled to another customer how it was posted on the door and we should have seen it. Note: this part should have never been said by the employee. We went to the front to check in the gun and asked for a manager. Once the manager came you can see Phil come strolling up to the front as well. I proceeded to explain the situation and Phil rudely interrupted and replied “you know, we don’t have to service you. If you don’t like it you can leave”!!! Gun transfers is a hassle and a pain in my ass to do. Note: Another thing that should not have been said. We explained how poor his customer service was in front of the manager yet the tackle manager did not stop Phil from talking to us rudely. By this time, we knew Phil and the manager was in cahoots. Phil left and I told the manager, if it was any other place the employee would have been stopped or reprimanded by a manager. Yet the manager said nothing he just continued to process our check in. We never received an apology from either staff. This is the part that really ticked me off. I asked the manager once we were checked in could he assign a different employee to service us. He told us it’s however the dice rolls! He cannot control who we get. They took our gun to the back of the store. After waiting for another to be serviced we were fed up and asked for our gun back and just left the store. Unfortunately no pictures of who he is but you will know once you talk to him he is very rude elderly person who seems like he doesn’t even want to be there.

Check your merchandise carefully.

I purchased a brand new Beretta handgun, they let me handle the one in the case, they said they had to order it so I pick it up not fully checking my gun got home and the mag kept jamming I took it back and the guy told me he has two and they jams like that as well? Now my brand new gun never been fired is in the shop. I told the manager I didn't want that gun I want a new one. This gun has marks as it was a used gun also ,he told me the gun is registered to me and thats your gun and he cannot give me a new one.I would never be able to trust this gun or any one in that store on Hawthorne.
