Milwaukee cordless tools - What has happened the robust reliability and durability.

I have used several Milwaukee tools in my life. Recently, two of my new Milwaukee tools have malfunctioned. The first one was the cordless transfer pump where it began to leak, it was replaced under warranty. About two weeks ago, my Milwaukee framing nailer (battery powered) would not work, would not fire a nail and made a ratcheting sound. I was in the middle of using it to build a shed, had to resort to a pneumatic nailer. The point, I would like to bring up, is two very different Milwaukee tools I have purchased brand new over the past two years have FAILED. This is poor quality in the manufacturing process before it arrives to the consumer, fortunately they are covered under warranty. But that is NOT THE POINT, the nailer is less than 1 year old with maybe 400 nails thru it!! I spent over $500 on the nailer and it should work consistently and reliably for many years. I WILL NOT be purchasing any other Milwaukee tools until the quality control improves, if that happens? What has happened the robust reliability and durability of Milwaukee tools, it's GONE!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and that’s saying something

RYOBIAVOID AT ALL COSTSI have never received such bad customer service.Ordered their product. Took a fortnight to arrive, originally specified 2-4 days. Wrong item arrived. Contacted customer services, with cctv footage of the delivery clearly showing the wrong item and photos of the box, again, clearly showing the wrong item.Long story short, 6 weeks, 32 phone calls and 9 emails later, we still have no refund or correct item.Everyone you speak to (different person every single time) are very nice and completely incompetent. Whatever they say will happen or is the current situation is incorrect. I’m still trying to get a refund despite everyone agreeing I am owed one and claiming it has been processed, even giving me transaction IDs that my bank can confirm don’t exist.

Ryobi are not fit for purpose

Whatever your temptation with the absolutely ridiculously glitzy advertising, DO NOT BUY FROM RYOBI.Why, I purchased an Item on Order Number RYOBI-1058960 on the 2nd September 2024. I phoned on the 4th September 2024 to ask why the battery was only lasting 12 minutes on this item, a Hedge strimmer. I was told that I should have known that from the website and actually I could not see that clearly at all. So after asking to have the battery upgraded to a realistic 5 0r 4AH I was told that this was not possible. So I cancelled the order knowing that the item had not yet been despatched. 2 days later I receive an email from Ryobi telling me the item has already been despatched and that I had to wait in so that I could refuse the despatch. So I Refused the delivery as instructed. On the 6th September I was told by email that they were now processing my return and refund and that it would take 3 days. I Emailed them saying clearly this was not acceptable. No reply from them So today the 11th September I phoned and was glibly informed by their rude Customer Service Department that They had approved my Refund and were now processing.I am now told it will maybe be refunded around the Friday 13th Mark. So 9 days to get a refund for an item that was not even despatched when I cancelled it. Looking at their track record today on Trustpilot I see they linger at 3.5 Stars with the same complaints. Very ignorant Culture and I realise now why it is owned by a Hong Kong Company that really are only marketing a design. Dont use Ryobi that are rubbish customer Services and really they dont care at all whether you buy or not. Its a numbers game for these guys.

No electric cables

Great unit however when using it at extended length I found it pretty heavy but put that down to my age a younger man would find it ok. When I removed the extension it was excellent. The biggest plus for me was not having to worry about cutting through cables

Failure to honour a warranty.

This company has refused to honour a warranty on a product to the point of giving out an old address to send the product to which is now lost. I will be contacting trading standards about this. One star isn't low enough as a review.

Really poor customer service and…

Really poor customer service and courier relationship. On 10th July I ordered a hedge cutter from RYOBI (Techtronic Industries) who used DPD as a courier. It broke in the first hour of use so I contacted RYOBI to return it. It eventually got picked up on 28th July for an exchange. I then heard nothing. After multiple emails and phone calls. On 11th August i was told the return got lost with DPD but as they can see it was collected so they would send out another one and it would be with me in no more than 5 days. This came and went and I needed to get my hedge cut for an event. So I bought a hedge cutter from someone else. On Monday 22nd August. I contacted RYOBI who said they could see the problem my replacement package was stuck in DPD warehouse and was not released for delivery. As such I asked for a refund as I had already bought an alternative brand. RYOBI customer service agreed to proceed with the refund. Today 23rd August a RYOBI hedge cutter has just been delivered and I have not received my refund.

Totally dishonest company

In my experience this company are basically dishonest. I ordered a spare part on the RYOBI (tti group) website through PayPal and got an error notice. I then ordered it again using my debit card. Unfortunately both payments had been accepted and I ended up receiving the one item but paying for it twice leaving me over £30 out of pocket. I tried contacting the company using the online help facility but did not receive a reply. I then phoned them and eventually got through to someone, explained my predicament that I had paid for an item twice and had screenshots of my bank account to prove this. He promised to pass my complaint through to finance who would contact me regarding this. That was the last I heard from them. I have tried phoning again but I either don't get through or I mysteriously loose connection once through to them. So basically Techtronic Industries have knowingly ripped a customer off for £30 and have no intention of giving it back.

Don't rely on the instructions.

Please - for the sake of future sanity, make the instruction books CLEAR. I've spent the past 2 hours trying to assemble a Ryobi lawnmower and trimmer because the enclosed instructions don't make any sense whatsoever and are not clear - diagrams, numbering, parts list, they're all useless. I'm appalled at the lack of detail used.

Techtronic Industries are the owners of…

Techtronic Industries are the owners of Vax, a Hong Kong based investment group, which if i had a say in whether the company should have even pondered about advancing in the vacuum industry, i would have strongly encouraged not to indulge.VAX U85-AS-PE AIR STRETCH PET BAGLESS UPRIGHT VACUUM CLEANER RRP £239.99 is what i had bought and thought would be an ideal vacuum to hoover up with, yet that thought was far from the truth. After reviewing the same model again and again, from replacement to replacement i had just given up on the idea that this company had even put in any thought when constructing such a shamble. I would say i felt sad that i currently own a vax vacuum, but i really feel devastated for the owners of vax that have to put up with such a disappointment in the investment with time and money they have wasted over the years. Bad and 1 star out of 5 was the minimum score i could give, i'm beginning to think that i've been to harsh on my self. You don't deserve a star, you don't deserve a review, take my advice now and break any ties you have with Vax, the so called company.
