Wonderful Experience

I believe that the road to freedom track was very beneficial in my inpatient recovery experience. I was able to fully accept Christ and even be baptized during my time there. All of the pastors were very knowledgeable, approachable and genuine. The diversity of groups and encouraging information enabled me to stay engaged while growing personally. Having acces to the RTF program and TTC was truly a blessing. I would recommend the RTF to anyone interested in Christian recovery.

ttc was amazing

my experience at ttc was amazing, before i left to go to ttc in march i was watching tv and they were saying that 92% of people go to a job that they cant stand, let me start by saying everyone starting with the kitchen help, the blue shirts, house keeping, counselors, pastor john and bernard, and last but not least my AMAZING THERAPIST DR FRANCINE RUBINSTEIN, who i still keep in touch with. this woman truly cared and really helped me. I dont wanna say i miss this place but i would tell anyone with my condition ttc would be the best choice they could ever make if they really want to live a clean and sober life, please tell dr Rubinstein i was asking for her,i made a lasting impression on her and she will never forget me !

In patient treatment 11/12-12/12

I found the center to be a mostly positive environment. Security was questionable, in my experience. Do not take any small valuable items with you, ie wedding sets, jewelry. There was ample proof that one individual stole my wedding set, valued at over $10,000, but that person remained in the facility and I was unable to do anything other than file a report which was quickly forgotten, I'm sure. It wasn't just a ring to me. The care I received onsite was great. However, upon my 30 day graduation, I was sent home with little guidance. The IOP chosen for me was 4 hours away and having never navigated the waters of aftercare, I had difficulty and ultimately failed at finding out patent care. Though I tried to call for help, no response ever came. TTC was fabulous at inpatient care, but personally I feel relapse prevention and after care should have been more thoroughly explored.

I found the person I lost.

My daughter got her mother back. Thank you TTC. I have been clean for 10 months and 23 days. I know the doctor's did their job well. I was detoxed and clean in 4 days. No withdrawls. They gave me the tools to help me on my pathway to recovery. The rtf track was great. TTC crew was there to support me in my recovery. They offer different classes to help you. They have activities to show you that you can have fun and laugh being clean. They offer yoga, Tia chi, massages, acupuncture, chiropractic, serenity lounge. It really helped me with my anxiety, stress. You have to want it for it to work. I love how they don't let you have your way, they are doing their job., because they have been there and know what it is like. People that really care about the lost ones. There is a better way to live. I love TTC, I am becoming a better person today, because TTC HELPED SAVE MY LIFE. I can't say it enough thank you. My daughter says Thank you.

It was great, I needed a few tries, but it really helped me out

I really wanted to be sober, but sometimes struggled with my own stubborness and such. They were patient with me, not overly forceful, just laid it out there and let me be as willing or stubborn as I wanted. Sadly some people don't make it back, but luckily I did and I'm still grateful and thankful for the many chances and several people that work there solely to carry out God's work. I'm still sober and I am so surprised, I thought i was completely a lost cause, and thank God everyday for my life.

Wonderful Facility

I can't say enough good things about TTC's RTF track. The people there make the difference. They are truly great. The program track is loaded with great info to help ourselves and if you put any effort in at all, the rewards you get back will be 100 fold

Second chances

On September 15, 2014 I walked into the TTC not knowing what to expect. I was so very scared of what struggles lied before me and even more scared that I wasn't strong enough to endure them. I was greeted by pastor Phil who graciously gave me and my family a tour of where I would be for the next 35 days. He was patient and kind and prayed with me and my family before they left me for the start of my second chance of a new life. I knew walking into the treatment center that Schar could not win this war alone, I knew my addiction had been winning the battle for several years because of the feeling of absolute hopelessness that was strangling me from the inside out. I surrendered that day, Monday morning September 15th, 2014 that God would guide me and show me the way and boy did he show up. He didn't just show up to guide me but I felt as if he picked me up and carried me not just through those first 35 days but he continues to carry me through almost 14 months later. The tools that TTC provided those first 35 days were priceless and I owe every single clean day of my recovery to the strong foundation that was provided during my stay. The Christian track encouraged me to let go and let God, to lean on his will and not my own, which believe me was a win in itself! I went to every class I could by Dr. B and was encouraged and motivated of not just the information provided about addiction and how we can win the battle but how we do not have to do it alone. Because we have a mighty warrior in God if we will just surrender and let him fight this war of addiction with us and that is exactly what I did. I loved the worship music class, drunk church, Friday night bible study, and the Sunday church services that TTC let us attend. The counsellors and daily group sessions guided us to share openly, to be vulnerable in our weakness so we could learn from it and focus on our strengths. Amazing friendships were made, many tools were provided for our toolbox for a lifelong road of recovery that would start as we walked out those doors at the end of our stay. I could not have told you for sure when I walked through those doors of TTC for the first time on September 15, 2014 that I was in the right place but I can absolutely 100% tell you that when I walked out those doors on October 20, 2014 God sent me to TTC to save my life and provide me a second chance at living and just maybe to positively impact others.

Genuine care that inspired me to live!

My time at TTC's Road to Freedom track aka the Christan track was nothing short of amazing. First the people, they love what they do and it shows. The genuine care, respect, and kindness they showed me was next level. Always so happy to see me, always so willing to listen to me, and always so willing to teach me. From the techs, to the pastors, to the therapist, even to Mr. Bill Russell himself... Wanted to know "how I was doing!" And that mattered to me. Second the program itself taught me things about the relationship with God that I lacked. I always had a religion and that was what it was about, I believed in Jesus and had asked him to come into my.life but I had missed the mark. Once I asked questions and diligently sought to find a relationship with God, my life truely began to change right there in treatment. A willingness and thirst to know more, a desire to find out, the drive to seek God grew and grew. I was provided with 4 wonderful pastors who would take time to sit and talk with me and would follow up with me. The level of education of these men and others there is supurb, I wasn't hit with typical slogans and cliche remarks but true knowledge. As a intilect myself I could appreciate someone who took the time to read and conceptualize unique rational thoughts to my daunting questions. They allowed me to find God in my own path and were there with me every step of the way. Finally the love that is embodied by this place I will forever be grateful for. As I sit here and write this having just received my first year of sobriety I think back to all those days when I thought nothing was going to get better or chance while I was in there. But they showed me through love that it would as long as I kept striving for God and allowed myself to grow through experience. Knowledge would allow me to talk a good game, but the experience allowed me to walk a good game. It gave me the foundation I needed to build a solid base of Recovery and faith that allows me to help others, carry the message, and show people why my God is so amazing! TTC is forever in my heart!

They knew me from the time I walked in.

They treated me courteously, and with respect. At the same time they were clear about their goals and expectations for me. I also appreciated their honesty. They took care of me even when I didn't want to be taken care of. They set my feet on slid ground, and showed me a path up and out of the pit I was in.

TTC has helped me recover and discover faith where none existed before.

TTC has helped me discover my faith. I had zero faith before and hadn't been to church since I was 6 (now 24). I had issues with the whole system of religion from early In my childhood. I was an outcast at a catholic school for not being baptized and have had a bad taste in my mouth since. The TTC community has helped me get through that and rediscover religion, though it was no walk in the park. Many of the TTC staff have had conversations with me about God, all of which has done nothing but positive things in my life. I don't know where I'd be without them in my recovery. Honestly I'd be just as lost as when I first came to them. I would highly recommend TTC for every aspect of there recovery practice. I never thought I'd ever expierence any gratitude or happiness out of this life. Those two characteristics are directly related to TTC staff and all they have done for me. I thank them everyday.

Living a life of freedom.

Pastor Mike, Pastor Bernard, and Pastor July, has took a journey with me through the darkest crevices of my life. Giving light to bad situations that held me in bondage to alcohol, and drugs. I never thought I could have such freedom. I am thankful that these pastors understood me and directed me right into God's grace and merciful arms. The videos Journey to the heart has helped me go back in time and process the sexual, physical violent abuses that happened to me, by opening this door I've learned to accept God's love in my life. I've lived with this pain for so many years. Not realizing these secrets was keeping me from knowing a life of freedom. Thank you pastors and TTC.

From day one I felt at home.

I was at ttc and i walked into the crammed little building but wow within minutes i felt at home. God has definitely been doing amazing things there. The passion of the pastors to reach out a helping hand to lead us into a life of Christ. I cant express the joy these guys give me. From the people in there. Man i never knew how much support i had until i went into this crammed room. God has transformed so many peoples hearts and i see it in their eyes these people truly do care. Thst was from day one. Ive been going a couple months now and somehow ive been blessed with a volunteer position. This church has opened my spiritual eyes up. Anyone who steps in those doors are God's miracles and i look around and thank God so much. I could go on and on about how rad this place is, but what really matters is God is transforming hearts and renewing minds in this place, and people are staying sober. I cant wait for more to come. Home sweet home.

I came into the program not knowing what to expect, but the people in it really do care about you and want to see you succeed. Nothing is easy, but they give you an experience that makes it bearable! I dont think my faith has ever been this strong, and I recommend it to anyone out there whose struggling and needs to connect with God! They change lives...

I would highly recommend the RTF track to anyone

Before beginning the RTF track at The Treatment Center, I didn't have a strong connection with God. After going through the RTF track at TTC and continuing to work with the pastors and going to RTF groups at IOP, I can now say that I have a healthy and strong connection with God. I feel more in tune with things that are going on in my life because of this connection and I am able to understand obstacles that I go through in life better because of my understanding of God and His plan for me. I would highly recommend this program for anyone. Whether your a strong believer in God and are looking to further your connection, or you have a severed connection and are hoping to renew your commitment to God, this track is great for a wide variety of people.

Road To Freedom

I had a really great experience with the RTF group at The Treatment Center and even after. There is someone available to speak to any time during the day. This was an option given to me and I'm glad I decided to take the opportunity. Following treatment I have tried my best to keep active in Wednesday night church to keep in touch with the Pastors who helped me to grow in treatment. I was really nervous going somewhere so far away to make some changes but this awesome team of Pastors made it an experience full of learning and growing.
