Teachers & Staff are all top notch!
Our children have been going to Summerfield Charter for 2 yrs, the move to this school has been the best! The teachers and office staff are all Top Notch! There is an air in this school of genuine care for each and every child, like nothing I have ever seen in any other public school system. Teachers communicate so well with parents. I like that Moral focus is woven in with the academics like self control, responsibility, respect, perseverance, compassion etc. You just do not see this type of supportive atmosphere in your everyday public school. I am so very thankful and happy that my children attend Summerfield Charter.

We have had a great experience at Summerfield Charter, both my daughters have attended since it opened. I love the ease of the uniform experience, the school is so bright and welcoming, the staff are energetic and really involved. If there is anything I would change is the field trips...not having a bus puts parents in uncomfortable situations with your child riding with a non-staff parent, keeping them home and they become singled out, or you have to take a day off to go also (for those who work full time or have to find childcare for younger kids). But again that is minor compared to the wonderful things the school has to offer.

Our daughter thrives there. Parent involvement is top notch and the teachers are great. Communication is a top priority and the monthly moral focus is a bonus!

Great charter school.
Our local elementary school has a great reputation, super teachers, and superb principal. However, the school only teaches grades K-5 and. My wife and i preferred to have our son skip the middle school route and find a charter school that offers K-8, which Summerfield Charter has. Our son is in his third year there and so far we are very pleased with the school. Our son has mild ADHD and the school has been working with him extra hours every week. The only problem that the I've seen is their teacher turn over especially the few that have left mid year. However, the principal has quickly filled the vacancies and there doesn't seem to be a negstive affect on my son. I would and have recommended this school.

love school but classroom size is too big
I love the school. It is a very demanding school, but my main concern is the classroom size is too big. 30 kids in one class room in elementary school with no assistants seems to be too demanding of one teacher.

Very solid school caring teachers
This is our first year at SCA and we are very pleased. The School is large but has a smaller feel. The teachers are very caring and the deans are in the classrooms and very involved. Class size is large-but the structure and systems in place maintain order. Our daughter is being challenged and is happy. We are coming from a small private school and feel the quality of education is very good at SCA. We love the moral focus each months and the students get very involved in it. There are a wide variety of clubs and good projects after school. The uniforms help maintain a positive atmosphere. I do wish the teachers had aides-but we are pleased.
