Terrible customer service, unorganized company, require both homeowners to be present just to give quote

They cancelled an appointment first of all last minute and the call center agent in Dallas told me they had double-booked me in case the other customer had cancelled... then they made another appointment that the agent didn't put in the system so that was no show as well. Finally got someone to come to the house after telling them that I would be present, not husband. They have strict policy of both home owners needing to be present, even though there is no money exchanging hands, this is to get estimate only. My husband works long hours and trusts me to get a quote. The guy came into my house and then refused to give a quote for the One door as my husband not present. Waste of time and would not want to work with this company, absolutely no sense of customer service. Their competitors do Not require both homeowners to be present for a quote, will be going with them. My husband said likely this is scam to pressure customers to sign immediately once they give presentation, that's why they're so insistent to have both slides home, they don't want you to be able to say "need to talk to my spouse" etc, want to pressure you to sign on the spot.

We were so impressed with Statewide Remodeling

We were so impressed with the representatives who called on us after we inquired about a shower remodel with Statewide. Both Brian and David were invaluable and knowledgeable about the products and services. They answered all of our questions and spent a lot of time with us designing the shower. We are retired and my husband is a Vietnam veteran. They made sure he recieved his military discount and worked up a design cost affordable for us.It is going to be beautiful and safer with the handle bars and shower seat. We are so excited and and can't wait for it to get started and then to see our new beautiful walk in shower. So far we are absolutely pleased with Statewide and all its representives. Thank you Brian and David!

After waiting 3 months

I paid around $32,500 for the installation of a sunroom with a guaranteed lifetime warranty. When my window suddenly shattered without anything hitting it or causing breakage, I called for repair & was given misleading contact information several times followed by 2 servicemen to measure & order a window. After waiting 3 months, I was told that my window would not be covered by my warranty. Statewide does NOT tell you who you can talk to for assistance other than “Upper Management “ - no names or contact information. Beware of any service provider who only provides a form to fill in rather than names & numbers of real people.

Contacted Jacuzzi for a bathroom…

Contacted Jacuzzi for a bathroom remodel quote, then find out their installer is Statewide. Told them I was not interested due to the overwhelming bad reviews they have. Since then I have received over 40 telephone calls from Statewide from numerous different Texas area codes. Holy smoke - I will NEVER use them for anything.

Absolutely dishonest company

Absolutely dishonest company. The sales process is of course top notch but the service after the sale is lower than a one star. We spent over $30,000.00 on windows and doors and we have never gotten the storm door to stay closed and the windows to stop leaking. They will rob you blind and not honor the warranties. Go somewhere else!

We had high hopes when we began this…

We had high hopes when we began this project several months ago. However, immediately the timeline went from a two day job to months gone by and poor workmanship. We even had to hire our own contractor to repair splintered wood, paint and sand both the interior and exterior windows. This poor experience was acknowledged by Statewide Remodeling and I was awarded the difference I paid my contractor. Poor workmanship, poor character and poor communication throughout this process.

Cheap products, shoddy work, expensive price, lies about everything

I hired this company to do a high-end renovation of my bathrooms. They assured me the renovations would look good and would be top of the line. This is not the case. They used cheap products, the workmanship is terrible, and they left my home is in a worse condition than before they started. They charged me for things they didn't do and lied to the bank telling them things were complete and withdrew the money, which is a lie. Only now are they telling me "we don't do cabinets, tile, or paint." What type of bathroom remodeler doesn't' do these things? They now have $110,000 of my money with an incomplete and shoddy job. The job is so bad it looks worse than a trailer and I have to hire a lawyer to sue them to help make things right. They left a hole in my floor that goes through to the dirt below, incomplete electrical work, a shower that is of the wrong material, another shower that is not complete, laminate that is already peeling off 1 week after application. Every single aspect of my renovation is worse than it was before they started.

Windows were not properly caulked and…

Windows were not properly caulked and the window units themselves leak dust and air between the frame and sash every time the wind blows. This has been ongoing since the windows were installed.

Statewide repaired my shower

Statewide remodeled our master bathroom 4 years ago. They did a good job. Love my bathroom. Recently my husband fell in the shower. I called 911 to come and get him out. When the EMTs got here they went into the shower to get him out. In the process they accidently pulled the shower door out of the wall. I called Statewide to see if they could help me. I talked to Jason and he helped me greatly. He sent out John and JJ in just a few days and they did a great job in repairing it. It only took them a couple hours and it looks like new. Thank you Statewide.

insanely overpriced

Don't waste your time... insanely overpriced. We received two other quotes from local contractors to replace the drawer and door fronts to our kitchen only, and the bid we got from Statewide Remodeling was more than THREE TIMES as much... $30,000! WHAT?! Just to replace door and drawer fronts only in the kitchen? The other bids were under 10,000. It's obvious this company has massive overhead. He came in, sat down, told us it's going to take 90 minutes, and proceeded with asking specific details about our house, when we moved in, other projects, etc which did not apply to him bidding this job. We don't need to share our life history to get a bid. He then showed us a powerpoint presentation showing their shiny facilities, uniformed employees, and so on, which further proves that what you are really paying for is their corporate expenses. It felt very much like a car salesman pitch. To anyone who reads this, please save your time and tens of thousands of dollars and go with a local carpenter or cabinet builder/installer... don't support this bloated corporation.

i do not recommend statewide remodeling

I was solicited at homedepot one day with a special of 75% off labor for a bathroom remodel. That was my first mistake.Salesman came out, told me all the great greatness about statewide remodeling. Finally the installation day came and the crew that showed up worked hard and steady. When they were done, it looked beautiful. But the shower pan was not leveled correctly. The shower rod scratched a 2in by 6in path on the new wall because the installer did not care. While demolishing the old shower they dislodged nails in the drywall behind the shower.Although they covered the toilet seat, it was while uncovering it that they broke one of the toilet seat bolts and left me with a dangling toilet seat. They charged me $19k.The installed didn't polish the new glossy walls, nor the new plumbing nor the metal shower handles, so everything was covered in sweaty forearm stains, dirty handprints, boot marks on the shower pan. And they never called back to ask how the job went.So i called them and pointed out these issues. They decided to rebuild the entire shower at no cost to me.But not before bringing in a guy that reviewed the work and proceeded to tell me that the house was crooked, my level was also crooked, and basically most of what he did was defend the first installer. Oh! The drain was also off center and it did not look pleasing. This dude and all the 2 foremen that were there that day, told me that in 8 years of him installing these shower pans, the drain has NEVER been centered. EVER.Such BS.So they redid the shower. The new install actually put in a new floor base, poured concrete, and set the shower pan in the concrete. Awesome. He even showed me the level. He installed the new walls, but I guess in order to not scratch the wall again, he cut the shower rod just a tad too short so it rattled anytime you touched it or the shower curtain. He also worked late. Awesome. But I think the later it got, the more in a hurry he was to get done and go home because I was certainly ready for him to leave at the 8pm mark. And because he was in such a hurry at the end, he left a mess. No one bothers to polish the final product. And one of the new wall panels started peeling at the corner with the ceiling. So I called statewide remodeling again. This time a field supervisor came to fix the issues. And it's still a mess.Do not hire statewide remodeling.I emailed them on Monday, today is Thursday, still no reply. It's a shame they use the homedepot name.

VERY UNSATISTIED CUSTOMER

Very unsatisfied customers. We are writing to express our dissatisfaction with the recent bathroom remodeling project completed on May 10, 2024, by Statewide Remodeling. While we appreciate the effort put into the work, there are several issues that need to be address:1. Functionality. The objective of the remodeling was to remove the existing shower and bathtub. And replace it with a larger walk-in shower. During an onsite appointment with a salesman, we discussed our wishes and finalized the contract. What we missed (but would have expected by the salesman and expert from Statewide Remodeling), that he notices and advises us that the shower is not wide enough. Now we are facing the situation that water splashes out of the shower and the outside tiles are completely wet after a shower. Currently the shower is not usable!2. Start. When we signed the contract in early January we agreed to have the work done in March. We called in February and beginning of March multiple times to receive the time frame when the work is happening. We heard that parts were still missing, and so the start of work didn’t begin until early April. 3. Duration. We were told that our project would take up to 4 days from start to finish. We moved around schedules to be available for the days when the remodeling happens. Instead this project took one and half month. And conflicted with a trip we planned at the mid to end of April.4. Subcontractor. When Statewide Remodeling completed their work by mid April we expected a functional shower, but the shower glass was not there. We heard that this is being done by a separate contractor and due to the trip we had to agree that the shower glass will be delivered when we are back. We had to call couple of times Statewide Remodeling to get the contractor to contact me. And when the contractor showed up a few days later he seemed to be confused about us as his customer, the glass requirements, he measured again, and it took another one and a half weeks to get the glass delivered.5. Quality. There are noticeable flaws in the tiling area where the bathtub used to be and that was carried to our toilet floor as well (Seems like maybe glue, grout or something that makes the tile look dirty.6. Payment. We agreed to get the project financed by your company. Only did that due to your promotional period of 24 months with no interest. We noticed in our account that we only had 6 months no interests. We called and send emails to get that changed, but no reaction by the sales man. Finally we called Home Depot Credit Card department and got that corrected.Summary: We spent about $20,000 into a remodeling project and now we are disappointed and unhappy. We would have expected Statewide Remodeling to consult and advise us better. And return calls faster and proceed timewise in a professional manner. We are loyal Home Depot customers, but this has left us very unsatisfied and upset.Truly,Marc De Bary and Alex McBride

Statewide Remodeling will lie!

Statewide Remodeling installed new windows throughout my home. However, I was disappointed to discover that they had installed the wrong windows. When I brought this to their attention, they denied any wrongdoing and even lied to Home Depot, who financed the project through my Home Depot credit card. The windows that were shown to me by their salesman were not the ones that were installed, despite the fact that I specifically requested the same windows that I had on my previous home. I even have documented and recorded proof that a supervisor from Statewide Remodeling came to my home and confirmed that the wrong windows had been installed, yet later denied this to Home Depot. Unfortunately, neither Statewide Remodeling nor Home Depot has offered a satisfactory resolution to this problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Statewide Remodeling as a trustworthy company, nor can I recommend using Home Depot's contractors. The last certified letter was sent to Statewide Remodeling on 08/07/2023. Recieved Home Depot refund denial letter on 08/14/2023.

1 Star due to misleading information…

1 Star due to misleading information during the sales process. Transparency and honesty are crucial, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet these expectations. We recently contracted Statewide for a bathroom remodel job, replacing a tub and shower with a new shower enclosure. During the sales process, we were assured by Statewide salesman Shaun the job would take 2 days, maybe 3 when we pressed him on this. However, upon scheduling, we were informed it actually requires a full week due to necessary inspections—a detail the salesman was aware of but failed to disclose. This discrepancy has caused significant inconvenience and suggests a lack of transparency in their sales process.
