Previously was a great website

Previously was a great website, now it's just a scam? Upon buying a voucher and then being completely ignored this time, after paying £360 on the website there has been radio silence, I have sent multiple emails, tried the live chat, but nobody responds. I suppose I will have to just chargeback the money at this point, which I ask everyone in the same position as me to do, it will get our money back, and also should get their Stripe account terminated so they can no longer proceed with this scam, wasting everyones time & money.

Sparefare now a scam?

Been using for years and had no problems. But recently successfully purchased a flight voucher, Sparefare processed payment but never provided voucher ID or PIN. Repeated messages over days have been ignored. Looks like this is turning into a scam. Sad:(

Sparefare has not paid me for airline credits I sold there.

I sold some airline credits on Sparefare.com on Jan 5 2026 and still have not been paid. The buyer paid sparefare, but Sparefare has not paid me. Sparefare refers me to an absurdly complicated app called "Stripe" for payments, which is designed for setting up a full-fledged web-based business with websites, invoices, API's and lots of other required info that does not apply to a one-time sale of airline credits. And I've gotten no help or even a response from Sparefare support. Spare Fare looks like a scam. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Majorly concerned this is a scam!

Concerned this is a scam. Posted a hotel stay on there in late december. Saw a bunch of glowing reviews. Sold the hotel stay and wasn't able to connect my banking information. Went back and read the reviews from the past two months and now am feeling 99% sure I will not be receiving my payment. Seems like the website went down within the past two months and no one has been paid as the seller nor recieved vouchers they bought as the buyer. Have a feeling my buyer didnt get the information they need and I wont be getting my money. Majorly disspointed and hoping this can be remedied.

Used to be great - now a scam

I hate to have to write this review, as I have used sparefare for years and have gotten some great deals during that time. However, now they are just taking money and not delivering the vouchers, which is really upsetting. It's one thing if the platform just isn't working, but they are actually processing payments....and I assume taking the vouchers from people

I previously used SpareFare around 18…

I previously used SpareFare around 18 months ago and had great success. Mike worked there at the time and was so helpful.Last week I posted a bid which hasn’t been answered, I’ve emailed and had no response and there is never anyone available on the chat. Just read the reviews and it all makes sense. Such a shame it’s gone downhill like this

No customer service

I purchased a voucher on 1/30/26 and did not receive it, so I contacted support. No response after attempting via email, chat, twitter, and LinkedIn. Nothing. The fare I wanted to use it on disappeared so I disputed the charge on my CC to get a refund.Voucher 109343

Super surprised...

I've been reading all the recent reviews, I'm surprised since I purchased thousands of dollars in this site and it was legit... Maybe something happened to this guy? Like died? Well, I don't know, he was extremely honest and it's weird it stopped working so abruptly...

I had used this site before to purchase…

I had used this site before to purchase a voucher without any issues. My latest purchase, however, has resulted in them taking my money, saying they are "reviewing" the details provided by the seller, then going silent with no details provided for the voucher. I will have to hope my credit card company provides relief with a dispute.

This is a formal warning to all sparefare is a scam.

This is a formal warning to all potential users. My experience with SpareFare has been a textbook case of how not to run a business. In late December, I successfully sold a travel voucher through their platform. I received the "final bid" confirmation on December 24th and promptly completed all required steps, including updating my Stripe payout details.Weeks later, my payment is MISSING IN ACTION. More shockingly, SpareFare’s customer service is COMPLETELY NON-EXISTENT.Here is the timeline of their failure:December 24th: Received their email confirming the sale.Early January: No payment received. Sent a polite inquiry. (No Response.)Then sent a firm follow-up, demanding answers. (No Response.)Final Escalation: Sent a detailed, urgent email giving them a 24-hour deadline to resolve the issue and communicate.ABSOLUTE SILENCE. Radio silence. No acknowledgement whatsoever.SpareFare has taken possession of a sold voucher, facilitated the transaction, and then simply vanished with my money. They have ignored three separate, documented attempts to contact them. This is not just poor service; this is a serious breach of trust and a major red flag regarding their operational integrity. They are holding funds that do not belong to them.I am now left with no choice but to pursue formal complaints with the relevant consumer protection authorities and my bank. DO NOT USE SPAREFARE unless you are prepared to gift them your voucher and receive nothing but silence in return.

Same as others

Same as others. Just lost $2.3k by paying deposit upon winning two bids only to then receive cancelation notices, and no way to get a refund after repeated attempts to contact customer service. Their chatbot doesn't work, no responses to emails or web form. There's no customer service line. UK.gov website shows this person and address as registered: Georgi Ivanov STAVREV, 40 Calvert Road, London, England, SE10 0DF. Hopefully the lights are still on at this establishment.

Willful Negligence in Defrauding Sellers & Buyers

Same story as everyone else. Sold vouchers, never received the money from Sparefare. Both buyers and sellers are not receiving their money or the transfer of purchased goods (sparefare puts everything in escrow). Sparefare is willingly defrauding sellers and buyers at this point with no responses.UPDATE: For those filing legal actionThe company was sold to Golden Valley Ventures then to Kim.Here is Erik Ritland's information for serving (US Based, Iowa)1.)
