This is an awesome company
This is an awesome company! They have awesome communication and my coach, Atenea, is fantastic. It has been so helpful having someone to practice speaking with in a nonjudgmental way. Yes, you still have to do grammar, but Atenea is always willing to chat about any topic. I work in a field with some specialized vocabulary, and she has been helpful with it. I would recommend her to anyone.

I first selected Spanish55 a year ago because they were transparent about pricing. I'm still using their tutoring because of Coach Fran. She's teaching me conversional Spanish as well as the difficult stuff like subjunctive. She's patient, professional and definitely a core part of my Spanish journey.

I'm literally obsessed with this company. I've wanted to improve my spanish for years and never knew where to find the right fit for a class. I LOVE this! My instructor is amazing and I can book classes when it fits for my schedule. I'm learning quickly because I'm having fun and can be consistent with the same instructor. Lastly, the company is so on top of everything. Very professional and anytime I have a question they have a quick answer from someone who is very nice, efficient, and professional!

This week, I had a full-blown conversation in an Uber with a native Spanish speaker, and for the first time I just went for it. Was it a bit rocky? Sure, but I did it! I even cracked a joke in Spanish that made my driver laugh. There’s no better feeling! That moment was possible because of my incredible coach, Alberto. I’ve been working with him for about 2 ½ months, and I can’t thank him enough.For sixteen years, I’ve been surrounded by Spanish (my husband’s first language is Spanish), but I simply could not and would not speak. I could understand some, but never form my own words, let alone conjugations or sentence articles. Alberto has helped me build a solid foundation. He’s incredibly patient, but also a genuinely fun and kind person who makes our 3x/week lessons something I look forward to.I still have a long way to go, but in just two months I can already have basic conversations and I’m understanding more of what’s said around me at family gatherings. I’ve tried and abandoned countless methods over the years, and Spanish55 is the one that finally clicked.To get here, I’ve been doing lessons three times per week, practicing with my husband, using flashcards, and occasionally dipping into Spanish apps, so about 5–10 hours per week of learning and practice. The progress has been amazing.Spanish55 is absolutely incredible, and Coach Alberto is the best. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in the next 6 months.... And in a year!

Oscar Is the Best!
I left a Spanish55 review a few months ago, but I wanted to leave another one about a year after I started working with my coach, Oscar. I have never had a teacher who is so easy to talk to. I am learning Spanish while making a friend, so it's fun, rather than work! He meets you where you are, whether that be with learning grammar or learning to listen and speak better. I highly recommend Oscar to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish.

My middle school daughter has had weekly one-on-one sessions with a Spanish55 coach for the past 11 months. Perfect even for langage-challenged
I am a non-traditional student. I work fulltime, languages have always been one of my weakest subjects, but I want to overcome this for myself. I am extremely impressed at how my coach always picks up where we left off, and adjusts perfectly to any slight detours if I have a question or giant blank spot that suddenly opens up in my memory. I like that we use the worksheets as supplemental materials. This makes our lessons flow much more organically and links learning to real life.My progress may be slow, but Spanish55 has been more effective than any other method I have tried over the past 10 years! The Right Decision
The Right Decision! My first lesson with coach Alberto went great. I like how he gave me a gentle push to continue our conversations in spanish. Although I made tons of mistakes, he made me feel totally comfortable. No mistakes! No gain! Clearly he's very experienced in teaching Spanish but I can also tell he enjoys doing it.
