Grandpa's ham
I am 70 years old, my family comes from Appalachia, my grandfather grew, butchered, cured and smoked his own hams using a salt,brown sugar, black pepper and red pepper recipe. We butchered and salted the hams on Thanksgiving them wrapped them in newspaper and put them in the meathouse to cure until March when Grandpa moved them to the smokehouse where he smoked them with Hickory for three days. Your hams sounded like they might be comparable. I was sadly disappointed 😞.

We have purchased this city ham many times and always have been satisfied with quality and taste.Started out at $89 but price has increased to $110 still a good buy with no waste and very little fat.
