It’s a CHARITY…. Bless them

The one star reviews on this thread are sickening it says more about the cold indifferent viciously nasty and self centred nature of these individuals. The stop having kids comment with its poor spelling says everything about the poster. Too much junk mail?? Boo hoo. If that’s your big issue then you’re doing well- far better than an underweight African baby with a cleft lip and an extremely painful and short life span. Disgusting people- shame on you

How can I stop this charity sending me numerous junk mail asking for donations. I sent a Christmas donation 5 years ago, but they still send me junk mail requesting donations. I keep sending this junk mail back with various comments on the envelope, but to no avail.

They will not stop sending…

They will not stop sending solicitations in the mail. I have not given to this organization for years, yet they keep sending solicitations. I have written and asked to stop, but they will not.My next step is to send them a bill for the junk mail service I've been providing for them.

Enough is enough.

I have donated several times over the last few years and was being pestered by repeated communications from Smile Train. Consequently, I emailed them and asked them to stop, however, this was to no avail. Nevertheless, I continued to donate what I could afford. A few days ago, I received a letter from Smile Train asking me to donate £300. Sorry Smile Train, but I have had enough of your hard neck. In future, this pensioner will donate elsewhere. I am also turned off by the large amounts paid to their senior management.

Do not sign up for auto debit for contributions - warning

I have contributed to this charity for years with auto debits from my checking. On 1/2 I asked them to stop the contributions. I got no response. I emailed numerous times and called and left messages. I finally got ahold of someone toward the end of January and they assured me my contribution had been cancelled. In February, the auto debit was taken again. I've called again numerous times and left numerous email messages. No one has gotten back to me. Be warned - do not sign up for auto withdrawals. It is impossible to stop them. If I issue a stop payment, my bank will charge me $30 to do so. Very disappointed in this charity especially after being such a loyal supporter for many years.

Looking for a charity to donate for…

Looking for a charity to donate for Christmas I try to give to different ones each time.TV ads showing small children with cleft palates are really sad so I decided to flag up their website for some more in formation. Easier said than done and though I tried dfferent approaches all I got was being transferred to different places asking for a donation. I tried to access their ratings, their reviews, their foundation all to no avail so what is going on? Having been taken in more than onceI am now careful, I am aware that all charities are run by people with eye watering remunerations and there are also running costs but that has to be weighed against the needs of people being met. That is not the issue here: it is the deflection of bona fide enquiry! Please tread carefully when dealing with this charity. I will donate to the tried and trusted ones
