My cats liked the food at the beginning but then it was hard to feed them with Smalls. As soon you sign up for samplers they add you to a subscription. I cancelled it inmediatly but they found the way to keep me and charge me $140 a few weeks later. There’s no way to delete your account or your data. I guess the way they keep the company is by forcing people to stay and charging them orders they didn’t ask for.
Good product at good prices
I heard about Smalls through HelloFresh - I was ecstatic to learn about Smalls because I had just been looking into making my own food for my three cats. I love the "farm to table" for animals, but it seemed to be mostly targeted towards dogs, not cats. Outside of a few brands, I think cat kibble is horrible for them.Enter: Smalls! Easy to use website, clearly states what you're signing up for, reminders sent to update your preferences before it ships out (that's a big win for me!) My oldest cat does not like Smalls, no matter what I've tried...but, he is the pickiest creature on the planet. My other two cats LOVE LOVE LOVE Smalls, and they are usually pretty picky, too! It's now our daily ritual to feed them Smalls once in the morning, and once in the evening - and they are always ready for it :)One of my cats came to me with vomiting issues (would vomit every day or two). After being in our care, her vomiting was reduced to about once a week...but that wasn't good enough for me. After starting her on Smalls, her vomiting has dramatically reduced! I've only been feeding them Smalls for a couple months, so I'm excited to see this progress.Both my cats are feeling better, acting happier - their coats are beautiful and shiny, they sleep better and are more engaged when they're awake. I've also been getting more cuddles :)I'm so thankful for Smalls and cannot wait to see what other benefits come feeding it to my cats! Thank you, Smalls :)
unfortunately my cats did not take to this food well.. one of them is super picky & the other isn’t at all but has some health concerns so given the marketing of this food i figured it was a great option for both of them given those reasons. i did not get to reach out in time before the shipment after my initial sample box came so when it arrived i figured i’d try to give it to them several different ways & they just completely won’t have it. i’ve done it on its own, paired with treats, with broth, slightly warming it up, paired it with other wet food i know one of them would like & still nothing. the customer service is responsive but very unhelpful. i’m left with over $100 worth of food my cats won’t eat, no refunds or anything that can be offered. i see these ads everywhere & the marketing obviously worked but the food doesn’t & it cost me a lot of money, not even considering the fact that i needed to get more food to supplement what they clearly wouldn’t be eating. pretty disappointed & won’t be returning as a customer
Very easy to work with and the product is exactly as described and pictured. All fresh ingredients in small batches makes all the difference. It may be higher than other cat foods, but the care, quality and energy and research that goes into it is worth it. My cats will be healthier because of it
I was initially very impressed with Smalls. My cats loved the first shipment, and I appreciated the ingredient quality and convenience.However, after adjusting my subscription to the two recipes they preferred, the next shipment was completely rejected. My cats consistently refused the food despite previously doing well on the same flavors, even with toppers added to entice. The majority of the box is unopened.I reached out to customer service to ask whether anything had changed with the formula or preparation. I was told nothing had changed, and because the product is perishable, no returns or accommodations could be offered.I understand perishability policies, but at this price point, it’s disappointing that there’s no flexibility when a shipment is unusable, especially for a returning customer who wanted to continue.I genuinely liked the product concept and would have preferred to stay, but the lack of support in resolving this makes it hard to justify continuing a subscription.
I had a friend with a cat that was a similar age to mine, ANCIENT. And she kept saying that she got the best food for her. So I tried it and now I have the happiest oldest cat ever. She meows constantly and has stopped throwing up everywhere. Her coat is shiny and she even seems less stiff for her ripe age of 20+.
My cat is 14 years old. This is the only food he can eat without vomiting and having diarrhea. He has other health issues but has more energy than he did before starting his food. His vet is amazed at how well he's doing Great customer service.
Although I am very new to the Smalls community our cat seems to appreciate it very much. Too many people who have pets do not care for their pets as they deserve, and then they wonder why their pets get sick and have all kinds of problems, the worse being a very pre-mature death.
My kitties LOVE Smalls!!! We made the switch about a year ago and I’ve noticed such a difference in their coat quality and overall health. One of my boys is asthmatic and I’m so grateful I’ve found a food I trust that keeps him feeling and looking his best!
My cat that eats wet food loved it. I have noticed her tummy troubles have gone away as long as she stays on the Smalls food. I also notice she is drinking far less water, she was usually at the bowl very often, now it seems much more normal. Thank you for creating a high-quality food for my girl.
I switched my senior cat to Smalls about a month ago after coming across an ad on Facebook. She had been vomiting and seeming dull and uncomfortable. After reading more about it, we took the plunge. She absolutely loves these recipes, the smooth pig being her paws down favorite so far. The website is easy to navigate and auto-ship sets the price at a bit more manageable level. While this is not an inexpensive food option, the quality and my cat's health have made it worth it! She is brighter, the vomiting has completely stopped, and she is satiated longer between meals.
I’ve been looking for a wet cat food for so long I tried fancy feast , sheba, tiki nothing worked my cat puked or just didn’t like it much . I got the subscription sample box starting off and they give you so much food . Surprisingly my cat loved it straight off the first pouch that’s never happened it was so easy transitioning her to smells cat I love this brand and will continue to buy .
Our cats coats have been amazing! They absolutely love the food and the treats. The food comes on dry ice and 1 pack equally feeds both of my cats. They particularly love the freeze dried kibble. They have more energy and their weight has been perfect. The vets have said their health is perfect. They poop less because there is less garbage in their diet. We have been using the food for almost 4 months now and I cant imagine going back to canned wet food.
I have been trying to find a healthy food for my cat for all 4 years I’ve had her. She usually eats once or not at all and then refuses to touch. I’ve only used 3 packs of Smalls so far, but she is eager to eat!
One of my cats is so fussy. He hates anything new. He’ll go sniff and walk away. I thought switching to Smalls would be difficult especially, because he hates if it doesn’t have gravy in it. I was so amazed both Riley and Patches lick their bowls clean! No waste like before!
I feel like I am over stocked in my freezer. But for some reason my cats(4) do not like the mushy texture. They seem to want more chewy food. I try to give them both in order to give them variety. So I have introduced them to Birdie and Louie too. They don’t like the olives, papaya pieces.

My cat loves this food, and I feel so much better knowing it’s made to keep him healthy and provides him what his little body needs. He is so addicted to it now he won’t let me have peace without feeding him. Every morning he’s screaming at me and at dinner time because he loves his smalls meals. I hope this company keeps their quality products and hopefully is able to lower prices a bit because everyone’s kitty deserves the best food!
The cats loved the food! I am just about to retire, though, and it's really way to expensive to maintain. While I liked the idea of fresh food, the packaging-while necessary-is rather wasteful.
