This place is the best!

This place is the best! All the caregivers are so kind and caring. Every single one of them, without exception! I am really impressed with them and so glad my Mom was able to be admitted here. Mom loves all the activities every day and loves her neighbors and friends she has made in the community. My Mom is not always easy to please and she actually really likes being at Silverado! That was half the battle. The rest is alot of icing on the cake. She also loves the two little dogs and the cat that live there. If you are looking, look no further, go here. They are the best

Heartfelt Homecare

I had the pleasure of touring Silverado Memory Care in Frederick, and I was truly impressed by the compassion and dedication of their entire team. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and sense of community that surrounds the residents. The environment is beautiful, uplifting, and designed with the well-being of every individual in mind.A heartfelt thank you to the Silverado team for taking the time to show me around and share more about the wonderful care you provide. It’s clear that Silverado goes above and beyond to ensure each resident receives not just care—but dignity, respect, and genuine love.I look forward to building a strong partnership and continuing to make a difference together in the lives of seniors and their families. 💜— Kendra, Heartfelt Homecare

My Beloved Father lived at the San Juan…

My Beloved Father lived at the San Juan Capistrano location for almost 3 years. Dad was a proud and strong man who grew to love being there. Silverado Staff did an exceptional job of taking care of him. I can’t say enough about the wonderful support, environment and professional people that work there. My sisters and I visited Dad frequently. We had a unique view of almost daily experiences, both for him and other residents. There were always positive interactions between residents and staff. We got to know Sheila, Casey, Stephanie, Jacklyn, Breanna, Olga and so many others. They felt like family as they compassionately cared for Dad. We had the utmost trust in them. They’re simply the best. Silverado Hospice offered him an added layer of medical oversight. I could say so much more. If you have a loved one that needs memory care, you can’t do better than Silverado. My sisters and I hugely appreciate all they did for Dad. Thank you!!

Silverado Tustin was the best choice for my loved one

My mother in law was at Silverado Tustin for 5 years, and it was the best thing for her. We toured several other facilities, and found rooms off hallways that looked like a hospital ward (how freighting for someone with memory loss!) and 1 small room for "community time". What a refreshing change when we walked into Silverado Tustin, this is someplace we would want to live. A constant daily routine was comforting to my loved one, with changing daily activities in the activity time slots that kept them engaged. They made the effort to find out what my MIL liked, which was knitting and puzzles, but she had stopped doing both due to declining eyesight. They found puzzles with extra large pieces, and extra large yard and needles, so that she could do those activities again. She also liked gardening and cooking, which were part of their rotation. Normal cooking is no longer possible with dementia, but by prepping everything in advance so that ingredients where already portioned out, they were able to make cookies and other desserts. During Covid was not any fun, but they made time where we could visit via an iPad, and we could schedule time where she would sit on the porch, and we would bring our lawn chairs and sit on the sidewalk so we could see her in person while still maintaining safe separation. The location is great, with the library and a Saturday farmer's market within a couple blocks, perfect for small outings. They encourage family visits, and over time we got to know several other families that had patients there. I won't lie, it's expensive compared to other places we looked at, but the level of service was so much higher, and her long term car insurance paid for a big portion of it for almost 3 years. When she passed away, there was nothing we could pinpoint, but we all kind of felt her time was coming. They were checking on her regularly at night, and found she had passed away peacefully in her sleep. Everything was handled very respectfully. We have recommended Silverado to several families looking for memory care over the years, and will continue to do so.

Silverado Tustin Hacienda improved the quality of my husband’s life

My husband spent the last three months of his life at Silverado Tustin Hacienda. I am so grateful that he was under their care during that time. The nursing staff did an amazing job of identifying health issues early enough to treat them. I would not have identified these issues early enough if my husband had still been at home. And the activities staff were great at encouraging my husband to engage in activities that helped to improve his brain function.

As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist, REALTOR

As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist, I have the opportunity to visit many Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care communities—and Silverado Thousand Oaks stands out as one of the best for Memory Care. Memory Care is their sole focus, and they truly excel at it.From my visit, it was clear that Silverado has an incredible team. I had the pleasure of meeting with Rob, the Administrator, and Jessica Torres, the Marketing Manager, both of whom were welcoming and highly knowledgeable. What impressed me most was the longevity of their staff—stability in leadership and caregiving is crucial in Memory Care, and Silverado delivers on that front. The facility itself is warm and inviting, with furnished rooms available for both shared and private accommodations. More importantly, Silverado goes above and beyond in keeping residents engaged and active, ensuring they live with purpose and joy.One of the most thoughtful aspects of Silverado is their commitment to family involvement. They encourage frequent visits, and family members are even welcome to join their loved ones for meals at no extra charge—a rare and wonderful perk that fosters connection. Additionally, they maintain transparency in pricing, with no hidden fees for services that other communities often charge extra for.If you’re looking for exceptional Memory Care for a loved one, Silverado Thousand Oaks should be at the top of your list. Visit, ask questions, and compare—you’ll see why it’s the best choice!

An excellent place for your loved one.

After looking at several memory care facilities for my husband I decided on Silverado in Frederick Maryland. The facility is clean, bright filled with sunlight. The rooms are large and comfortable with a private bath in each one. The focus is on maintaining as much brain health as possible by keeping the resident engaged and happy and purposeful. The food is very good. The activities are many and varied. There is an on-site full-time social worker. There's a 24/7 Health Center They also do their own physical therapy on site. And they welcome family participation and have activities for the families as well as the residence. There is a spa on site where the residents can get their hair cut, a shave and other services. Visitation is welcome as is taking your loved one out for the day or even a few days. My husband has only been there two weeks and already I see him participating in so much more than he did at the last facility he was living in. I feel supported also. There is a family support group that you can attend either in person or virtually. The staff is friendly, well trained in dementia care, open to suggestions and very kind.

A Heartbreaking Failure

A Heartbreaking Failure: A Critical Review of Silverado Hospice Care for My Dying MotherHospice care is meant to be a compassionate, respectful, and professional service designed to ease the suffering of terminally ill patients, ensuring their dignity in their final days. Sadly, my experience with Silverado Hospice care for my dying mother proved to be a painful testament to how this vital service can, in some cases, fail those who need it most. From the outset, the level of care provided was shockingly insufficient. Despite being promised a team of highly trained professionals, my mother was left to endure prolonged periods of isolation and neglect. The staff members, when they did arrive, often appeared disorganized and overwhelmed, with little regard for her specific needs or comfort. What’s even more disturbing is the lack of communication. We, as a family, were often left in the dark about my mother’s condition and prognosis. There was no proactive conversation regarding her evolving care needs or any updates on her comfort level. The few times we managed to reach out, we were met with frustration and indifference. Important details about her care were not shared with us in a way that would have allowed us to make informed decisions. The emotional toll of this experience was compounded by the consistent failure of the hospice staff to provide meaningful emotional support, not just for my mother, but for our family. We had been promised that hospice would provide holistic care, addressing not only physical needs but also the emotional and psychological aspects of dying. In reality, this promise was hollow. The social workers and counselors who were supposed to be providing comfort and guidance were largely inaccessible, leaving us to navigate the most painful and vulnerable period of our lives without proper support. What’s most tragic is that, at its core, hospice care should have been an opportunity to offer solace in her final days, yet it became an experience marred by incompetence and cruelty. The service, which is designed to support patients and their families through an incredibly difficult journey, instead subjected us to more grief, frustration, and helplessness.Hospice care can and should be a source of comfort and relief for families going through the most difficult time imaginable. My mother, like so many others, deserved better than what was provided—a faceless, fragmented service that failed to meet her basic needs. It is deeply disheartening to know that such a critical service can fall so far short of its promises. Families who choose hospice should be able to trust that their loved ones will be cared for with dignity, compassion, and professionalism, but sadly, in our case, that trust was completely shattered.

Just a word of thanks to Dior

Just a word of thanks to Dior, Engagement Director at Silverado Hermann Park. You always make every holiday celebration so special with programs, decorations, refreshments or dinner. Most of all you are always so welcoming to our entire family when we visit with my husband. The Christmas celebration was festive and joy filled. The staff joined in to make everything ready for a wonderful day! Thank you so much!

Silverado VP Legal just acknowledged…

Silverado VP Legal just acknowledged the management team and medical director didn't check on my husband of 82 years old prior to submitted the Citalopram to Omnicare CVS...this company failed miserably in operation and medical practice. If you have loved one in this facility, you need to monitor the management team - the communication between management team and caregivers is a great concern. Also the hygiene, health and safety concerns should be monitored. They claimed they do the laundry everyday which means they mix several residents' wash in one load...

Amazing Staff

I cannot say enough positive things about Silverado Memory Care community. From the moment I first interacted with the staff, their incredible empathy and genuine care stood out. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt secure and supported during what was a very scary and uncertain time for me and my family.Although my mother did not ultimately make it to the facility, I had no doubt she would have been in the best possible hands. The staff's attentiveness and compassion gave me so much confidence in their ability to provide exceptional care. It’s clear they are deeply committed to their residents and their families, and that level of dedication made all the difference for me.I am incredibly grateful for their kindness and professionalism and would highly recommend Silverado to anyone seeking a memory care facility for their loved one.

It DOES take a village: A Silverado Village

My loved one was in a continuous mental and physical decline. Severely depressed, high fall risk, isolating socially, in a cognitive decline and physically frail. After multiple mental health crises the doctor determined the safest and best place would be assisted living. The Silverado was amazing. From the welcome tour and immediate assistance, they have been informative, proactive, supportive, caring, and concerned . The change I have observed has been miraculous. Though I realize this is a long, difficult path, I am so grateful to have the wonderful staff at Silverado guiding me.Silverado is not the newest, glitziest memory care assisted living, but it is sparkling clean, invitingly decorated, cheerful, bright and welcoming. Most of all the entire staff- from the maintanance staff to the director - are kind, concerned, caring, helpful and gentle. I knew this was the right placement immediately. The Silverado went out of their way to get my parent from a very wrong hospital made placement to them. They even sent their nurse to pick my parent up- two days after hurricane Beryl. I can not complement the staff enough! Houston has hot terrible weather, but inside the Silverado the staff are always warm and caring! When I visit I am often greeted by Oliver the therapy dog. My mother is not usually a dog person, but she gets a kick out of the antics of Oliver and Oakley. She even told me how well behaved Oakley was when he visited her and got up on the bed. Milo is just happy when he gets scritchers. But most importantly ( and I’m sure I’m spelling it wrong) but Peniah was the nurse who drove to get my mother. Leslie is always a smiling face. My mother relies on Ms. JoDeen and Ms. Pink, Shannon, L’Tanya, Kayla, Dior, Robert , Rhaia, and Gigi. I can’t name all the wonderful staff, but they are hardworking and genuinely care. It says a lot that so many have been there for years.

What a wonderful place!

This facility doesn’t feel like nursing care home at all. It’s a very welcoming atmosphere with great lighting and comfortable furnishings. Staff and residents were all smiles. I was very impressed with the personal touches for each room. So wonderful to see pets comforting their owners.

Best of the Best -Silverado Red Rock

I recently toured Silverado, dedicating nearly two hours to exploring its layout, staff composition, residents' accommodations, cooking and recreation areas, and more. Having visited multiple facilities, including several dedicated memory units, I can confidently say that they all fall short in comparison to Silverado. I was genuinely amazed and thrilled by every detail and the meticulous attention given to each aspect of care.At Silverado, the focus is on creating a true home for residents. Unlike other facilities that may rely on a TV as a form of entertainment, Silverado offers a wealth of engaging activities designed to strengthen both the body and mind. Residents are encouraged to get up and join the community, ensuring they aren’t confined to their rooms. Dining is a delightful experience—instead of hospital trays, guests enjoy meals with friends at beautifully set tables adorned with china and silverware. Their rooms are personal sanctuaries where residents can rejuvenate from their engaging days and prepare for restful nights. It's difficult to understand why other care facilities don’t adopt these exemplary practices. While some features may entail higher costs, the overall philosophy at Silverado is centered on fostering a vibrant support community where individuals can reclaim the enriching aspects of life, rather than merely existing. If you visit Silverado Red Rock, you will find it hard to consider any other organization. It truly sets the standard for exceptional care and community living.

Don’t put your family member here!!

Was on the phone with my mother and someone cut me off, just hung my mother’s phone up. I called back VM is full….. no one checks it? When I called the front desk I recd. a very flippant response from a young man. Rude and unprofessional. Earlene is the only receptionist who is always appropriate. This place is like a prison. NO CHILD….. NO ONE should be treated this way at anytime!!! It’s my understanding the social worker- Melissa Goldman( I do believe she is still there) is involved in determining my ability to speak to my mother!! A SOCIAL WORKER!!! I’m an MS RN BC( Certified in Medical and Surgical nursing)….42 years……have years of clinical and management experience. I do not wrote this with malice, I write this as I can’t bear the thought of others going through this. This is a private pay facility!!! Where is the care? Where is the professionalism? Where is the human decency!! I was not responsible for placing my parents here and if I could I would have taken my Mom out of here. Unfortunately, at this point in time….my hands are tied.
