Why is this company still allowed to stay in busi

Why is this company still allowed to be in business? Site after site have the same story about no product and no refund. They are stealing from people and getting away with it. They know they are the only service authorized and they don’t care. They already have your money so why should they care. How did they deliver to my son when he wasn’t there, but they insist they did, and produced a phony receipt that definitely wasn’t my son’s signature. The beginning of the customer no service emails I was getting a refund and by the last email the items had been delivered. Total lies. Somebody stop these people they are hurting so many that are already in a bad situation. The fact that they deal with jails is ironic because that’s where they should be. From the top down!

Terrible company purchase a package for…

Terrible company purchase a package for my sister. I looked and seen a different name and called and asked why, I was asked did I put in a different id number. I never had to put her id number in, I screenshot how it said who I was shopping for before I push submit. Was told 7-10 business days for a refund. Called back and was told no refund request was put in. To wait another 7-10 business days. Just send it to your family members trust for food. They over priced and play stupid games. Safe yourself from the hassle.

The prices are way overpriced for the junk food they offer. Loved ones should be able to pick and choose their products individually. I cannot believe there is no entity that ensures fair prices and products like it used to be in the 80s. I will not be ordering anything from you this company ever.. it's bad enough that when someone we care about goes to jail for the stupid things they do, their loved ones are the ones that have to foot the bill. Phone calls, video visits, commissary and medical expenses. It's ridiculous and it's pure greed.

I wish I could go lower

I wish I could go lower. This company charges an exorbitant amount of money for their products and the delivery fee is crazy but then if they don't make the delivery they blame it on the facility and the facility blames iCare Gifts and nobody will do anything for you. I placed an order on Feb. 2nd that said if it was ordered before Feb 4, 2026 it would be delivered before Superbowl Sunday. It was not delivered so I called. There is no tracking on the order. They say the order is "In Progress" but nothing else. They said they can open a ticket but the facility has 16 days to respond. They say the facility has 30 days to make a delivery. If the person is released before the order is delivered they will not refund the money. This is a scam of the highest order! They take advantage of incarcerated individuals and the people who try to support them. They are the only company that someone can place an order through. It's so frustrating to do business with this company. If there was a competitor I would absolutely refuse to do business with this company. Having a monopoly should be illegal.

Possibly the slimiest company out there. USE A CREDIT CARD ONLY!!!

For anyone who is reading this and is going to order... Make sure you use your credit card. The reason for this is because this company will NOT refund. So, it's call "icaregifts", right? With "gifts" in the name. Twice this has happened now. I purchased a large meal for a loved one as a gift. A surprise, like most gifts are. They did not end up giving her an item. Okay, so I contact them. Well, apparently, once a person accepts their meal they "sign off" on the meal and that is that. End of story. They apparently accept that the order is all there and correct. There are two major issues with that... One, they have the inmates standing outside in the freezing cold in a line, being rushed through and told to sign with all this information they have absolutely no time to read as other inmates are behind them and the guards are beyond rude and just wanting to rush this through. Two, how is an inmate supposed to know what is in a gift that I send them? Sure, I could tell them. But this was supposed to be a surprise. And I imagine a lot of gifts are surprises, right? Or does everyone know what their gift is before they get it? See where I am going? Especially when my loved one wanted me to "surprise them" with the food I picked out.This is an Aramark company. Here is the truth. This company only cares about giving the lowest quality that is acceptable and they can get away with for the highest money. They do not care about you, they do not care about the food, and they certainly do not care about your "loved ones" in there. They offer no customer service because they don't have to. Don't like it? Don't order. It's that kind of attitude that they have. They also know they have a monopoly on the place. Where else will you order from? Right?Anyway, they were missing literally some simple fries on one order and a piece of cake on another. Like a couple potatoes and some cake... really? I just had my company credit card do a charge back and got the $30 back for the entire meal, twice... So roughly $60 refunded now... I didn't really "want" that. I just wanted the fries and piece of cake that I PAID FOR.After the second time, it basically became where we gave up with surprises because that just can't happen. You better know what you are supposed to get and call them out on it since apparently they are so petty they short inmates food. Think about that. They will short change inmates food that is paid for so that their bottom line is higher. Absolutely disgusting. If you don't believe me, give them an email and pretend you need some customer support. See what type of "hospitality" you get. LOL! Good Luck! They just view inmates and their family as people who will lie, cheat, and steal. That will do anything to get something free and that "extra inch". At least that is their excuse as they turn around and DO THAT EXACT THING.The biggest take away from my long message here is this. They will NOT refund you. No exceptions. Period. They will steal from you. If it hasn't happened to someone who has ordered from them yet, well by God, it will. Lastly, USE A CREDIT CARD TO PROTECT YOURSELF. Do a CHARGE BACK. Chase, my card company, TWICE at the same place, didn't even argue with me one bit. Apparently they know this company is a scum and scam company. I'll just keep doing charge backs if they don't give me something that I paid for. If they eventually sprout another brain cell and block my card, well, I have a couple! The simplest solution here though is to just give a person what they pay for, and if an issue occurs, then give the same customer support you would except at any other type of establishment.

ICAREGIFTS Fail I have ordered meals from Icare…

I have ordered meals from Icare gifts for an incarcerated person for a full 2 years and have never complained. I also understand this is prepared in a prison, but I am paying above restaurant prices so when something is ordered it should be received, and if not the person receiving it should at least receive a free or extra item of their choice. So when I call about an item not delivered before Christmas with the meal, I get a person that just says yes mam, yes mam over and over but no answer to my question. So in this case customer service was an epic fail. It seems as though you get what they want to give or you just lose!!!!! I don’t feel that’s acceptable for me or the inmates.

My finace is in Grafton Ohio

My finace is in Grafton Ohio. I thought the food was very good. The only thing we didnt like was the salad with the hot dressing it was gross. I would like to see some kind a cake for two. There are many birthdays, anniversary's, holidays and special events that this would be a big hit with. I think this would be a huge deal with everyone.

iCare exceeded my expectations

Amazing experience iCare exceeded my expectations, for the short time my son was in county jail, iCare exceeded my expectations for a gift package. And for the people that complain, they must remember that prison/jail is not a 5 star restaurant so any service will have its flaws, and you guys are lucky you can send meals or packages to your criminal sons, you should’ve raised them good. Good thing my son was inside for a minor thing and for a short time, iCare was fast and amazing!

Dissatisfied Customer

I ordered the boneless chicken wings package. Apparently it is prepared in the facility where he is incarcerated. The description of the meal is exaggerated. Sauce on the wings? None! No ranch or blue cheese dressing. No celery sticks. Soggy waffle fries. No substitutes for any of the missing items. The apple pie was not thoroughly cooked. I realize this is a prison, but I am also aware that I am paying restaurant prices and there is no refund. I will not be purchasing anymore meals through icare gifs in the future. I am very disappointed with the quality for the price.

Not a good company

So ordered some items yesterday. I noticed 2 charges for the same amount on the CC, I called today and the lady on the phone (a horribly rude lady) proceeds to tell me they only charged once. She said IF there is another charge and it's a debit card it can take up to 30 days to drop off. I was steaming mad, I told her that is $100, you could cause someone's bank account to overdraw. She said we only charged you once, I said shall I take a screenshot and show you. She of course refused and said if it doesn't drop off call the bank. I have never been arrested before in my life and am a college educated person and she talked to me like I was a convict. What a horrible person she was. And yet we are forced to deal with it because we want our loved ones to have a pillow or blanket that should have been provided for them in the first place and was not.Edited:Also, our order was missing the $5.00 bottle of shampoo and they refuse to do anything about it. I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger slice of apple pie and Otis spunkmyer cookies cost $34.00He never received it he was never contacted . I talked to a person there all she told me was no refunds. Never again

"Fresh food" delivery

I ordered a sandwich combo package for an inmate. They said it was delivered on Wednesday. The inmate said they did not receive it. I called icaregifts to inquire about it and got someone who could barely speak English. She said they would look into it. Got an email that said the prison won't deliver it until Saturday. So a "fresh" made burger, potatoes, and drink will sit around for three days?? Totally unacceptable. I will be refuting the charge on my credit card.

I would give this NO stars if that was possible! Do not waste your money in this site! They will not deliver the food they say they will send. I placed an order on the 18th of Aug today is the 26th of Aug they only deliver on tuesdats in the jail. He still did not receive his food again today. When I spoke with them last week they told me he had another order ahead of mine but he doesn’t. They told me it was pending g and that it could take up to 30 days and they do t know why. So today I called and ordered a refund I can put it on his books. This site sucks customer service sucks and you would be better off putting it on their books so they can order food themselves do not I repeat do NOT waste your money on this site! I will be calling the AG of Ohio about all these bad reviews as well!

Speak Up

Honestly people, put the real blame where it belongs, on the corrupt prison system allowing ICare to charge outrageous prices and now a $9.00 "delivery" fee, which is 30 to 40 percent of the cost of some packages. Contact your representatives and senators, Call your local action reporters. Call the newspaper investigation line. If we don't speak up they will continue to gouge the families of inmates and get away with it. Greed is an ugly thing.

Customer service is a joke! They make a crazy amount of money off inmates family members who are already struggling financially and then refuse to make their mistakes right. I ordered a package for my dad which he never received and they keep saying its been delivered when clearly the signature doesnt match all of my dad's other signatures! 50$ down the drain and they refuse to do anything about it. ICARE REALLY DONT CARE! I've been asking to speak to a supervisor for weeks and keep getting told they'll call me back and they never do! Emails are replied to days later with basic robotic responses. It should be illegal to run a monopolized crooked company like this one!

They can improve their customer service!!! ICARE DONT CARE!!! I wish there was a negative star or no star option! I placed 2 orders for my loved one and he was moved this morning so I called to get a refund and was told that I could NOT BE REFUNDED so I gotta just eat $115! Not cool and I definitely feel a type of way. The person on the phone name was Yolanda and she was beyond rude and then while I was doing the survey at the end she disconnected the call right before I pressed the button to confirm the bad service which should not be allowed! But she asked why I didn’t call sooner like we the family or the inmate knows that they’re going to be moved. And I called as soon as I found out but the fact that they won’t receive it is disappointing! And even more that I can’t get my money back for something that we have no control over is wrong. But every time I have called their customer service I get the worst service! I ain’t never been to jail but some how always get treated like I am an inmate! What happened to good customer service and holding your employees accountable for their action's! I usually do not do reviews like this but I’m sick of the non caring businesses like icare that treat their patrons like nothing consistently! I hope someone from there actually reads these. I doubt it!!! But ya’ll need to do better like asap! ~A disappointed customer
