SA planned our 13 day Costa Rica tour with all the details accounted for, such as drivers to our three destinations (La Fortuna, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio), daily planned excursions with private pick up and drop off, excellent hotel accommodations, etc. They also organized a private Bill fishing charter which included a couple of friends that joined us in Manuel Antonio / Quepos. We did not worry about anything. Awesome tour company to plan your next vacation with.

Melissa @SA Expeditions was wonderful from start to finish of my trip, keeping me well informed and updated of what I needed to do and when.I was given an in depth program of my itinerary and travel arrangements and always had a prompt response to my questions.The vacation to the Galapagos itself was outstanding. I had a wonderful city tour of Quito prior to the cruise, arranged with a personal guide who was extremely knowledgable and friendly.Galaxy cruises provided a wonderful vacation with extremely helpful, friendly and considerate staff.The trip provided an abundance of exciting activities and very high-quality food. The yacht was comfortable and kept very clean.I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending SA Expeditions and galaxy cruises for your next trip

It was amazing to work with Claudia. She made suggestions and always listened carefully to our requests. Claudia helped us go in many different directions in the initial planning stages, searching for fabulous options until we finally settled on a plan. I think Claudia found us a really special experience that I hadn’t seen in any blogs or forums! Then she built us a wonderful trip, making sure everything fit into the dates available for our choices.Once we had a plan in place, Claudia put everything together impeccably. All our transfers, flights, hotels, resorts, tours, and guides were thoughtfully arranged, booked, confirmed, and listed carefully for us. Everything went seamlessly in a trip filled with travel by air, boat, & car from city to sea and countryside.Claudia has planned two trips for us, to Costa Rica and Panama. Patagonia Tour for Active Retires

Trip with private guide is the best’
It was so awesome to have a private guide with just my husband and I. They were so helpful and took care of our every need. Once we arrived we had their assistance the whole time. Easter island was awesome to experience. Patagonia was beautiful and so was our location. Santiago was fun and so was Valparaiso!Food and lodging was great with the local influence! Best ceviche in the world! Ended a great trip with hot springs in the Andes mountains! Magnificent!

Our first trip to S America
This was our first trip to S America. We knew we wanted Patagonia and Machu Picchu. Oh where to begin? My friend referred me to Hayley at SA Expeditions. Hayley had just finished planning a detailed S American experience for them starting in Peru, Galapagos, Columbia and Costa Rica. After contacting Hayley , she had us pin down our time frame and came up with an itinerary from there. Every part of this trip exceeded our expectations , from the lodging, to coordinating pick up and drop off places, guides for the steps along the way , everything worked seamlessly ! The guides were incredible, smart , knowledgeable , perfect English and entertaining. We really felt we got to learn the culture by participating in the local celebrations Hayley added side trips, based on where we were staying. I wanted to hike in Patagonia, our hiking guide was awesome . She added in glacier tours, which I had no expectations for and that blew my mind. She arranged all the flights to Patagonia, Iguazu, Lima and Cusco. It was all seamless! AsI mentioned accommodations were beautiful , I only wish we had an extra night in Iguazu, a peaceful resort, which we stayed for only one quick overnight . Machu Picchu and our guide there was awesome. He passed on his knowledge, entertained us and spoke perfect English . I would recommend SA Exoeditions for any of your SA travel. It seems they have their arms wrapped around perfect connections. The only disappointment was my husband wanted to fly fish, and he was set up on a spin casting expedition instead . Not sure if that was a communication breakdown. But be clear if fly fishing is what you want . I can’t wait for my next trip to SA. There’s so much to explore and I will definitely use SA Expeditions again .

Used SA Expeditions for a trip to Galapagos and Machu Picchu January 2026. Planned over 18 months ago and can't believe it's already come and gone but well worth the wait and amazing experience every step of the way. Our SA rep that helped us plan the trip was very helpful and always made themselves available for questions. Overall, this trip and experience exceeded our expectations. The accommodation throughout was 5 stars and the food at the hotels excellent. The guides were exceptional! We not only had a personal guide, but someone was there to meet us and drop us off and assist us at the airports. They helped claim our tickets and check our bags and walked with us until they could go no further with us. We felt well taken care of. Even our drivers were wonderful people, they made suggestions to our guides of places to stop while driving that we may want to take a photo or enjoy a view. Everyone went above and beyond, was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and trustworthy. The itineraries were packed but SA makes the time well spent! You are given an unforgettable experience. Was a trip of a lifetime that was planned so well. SA reps take care of you and were a phone call or email away while traveling too when and if we had a question. Highly recommended and we look forward to our next adventure with SA.

Requires more attention to detail and more direction regarding itinerary planning with more focus on age and demographics of travelers. Guides were excellent (all top notch) and provided some unique local experiences through the travels that would have otherwise not been available if planning on your own.

Custom Itinerary planned and delivered!
With the help of Claudia at SA Expeditions, I was able to plan a completely custom itinerary to see and do the things I dreamed of doing in the Patagonia region of Argentina and Chile. She arranged 5 transfers, two flights, three hotels, and two private tour guides. I was able to trek in El Chalten and Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, explore El Calafate, and stay inside Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine for several days of trekking, horseback riding, and amazing food and drink. I also toured Valpariso and the wineries of Chile. Everything ran like clockwork and exceeded my expectations. During the planning stages, I asked for several changes, and they were all handled quickly and happily. During the trip, I had a question, and she answered it immediately even though it was outside of regular business hours. I will definitely have them help me plan future trips!

Peru, Mach PicchuMy wife and I went to Peru and we booked thru SA Expeditions. We had an amazing time. We were super impressed with how everything was handled. All the rooms were perfect, just what we wanted. What was exceptional was the service!! From the person who booked our trip and guided us with great suggestions. We felt every detailed was handled. What made it so effortless was when we arrived we were greated by someone. When we got to cusco we met our guide and driver for the whole week. They handled every little detail, we just had to enjoy the experience. He was so fantastic he took pictures for us the whole time like we hade our own paparazzi. Also to note this wasn't a group trip it was just the two of us. Perfect. We would definitely recommend SA Expeditions again.

Galapagos and Amazon dream trip
SA Expeditions (Aseem Mahajan) did a great job from beginning to end putting together a first rate experience. The support before, during and after our trip was invaluable. Some of the highlights of the trip:- Great itinerary to see abundant animals, nature, quality of guides- Treasure of Galapagos-- outstanding food, accommodations, crew and naturalist- Napo Lodge in the Amazon -- amazing remote location with incredible animals, great food and service, quality of the guides, visit to indigenous community- All the various pickups were timely ensuring we made all our flights and connections- Quality of day trips in and around Quito -- including city tour of Quito, the Equator Museum, Mindo Cloudforest, hummingbird sanctuary and chocolate factory- Combining the Galapagos and Amazon in one trip did require a fair amount of travel to get to such remote places but well worth it.Thank you Aseem and SA Expeditions!
