Avoid

Avoid. No customer service. Cancelled my hotel reservation with 1 day notice. No reason given. No compensation. Sending no reply emails.When I call them, I ended up on a call center in India. Could not understand the guys. These guys could not care less about the customers.

Dealing with customer service is…

Dealing with customer service is virtually impossible! If you do find someone you can understand, they do not have enough common sense to help solve an issue. I paid for a weeks stay but (my job) finished early and I only stayed 2 nights. Trying to get reimbursed for the nights I did not stay has been impossible! So frustrating, this would be a simple fix with any other hotel chain. Not OYO, its like they are purposely trying to steal my money. I have felt scammed ever since I stayed at their hotel. 2 weeks and still not sign of getting my money back. Never again.

OYO KEEPS YOUR MONEY even if the motel is full and they KNOW they owe you a refund.

This is a "booking" business that you need to stay away from. It is nothing but a scam, with no intention of fixing any problem. They align their name with hotels they have purchased, they also work with partner motels. They take payments for motels that are full, no rooms available, or they are filthy. I have experienced this like "i'm sorry but we are full" and the front desk is CLOSED ! So i call the number on the front door and they say we're full AND they have their own terrible history with OYO !! I have now gone round and round for TWO WEEKS for my refund and all i get is the same story "We'll get back to you in 24-48 hours". I wait and get nothing. I called the hotel a few days ago, they said they would also call and tell them to give me the refund. STILL NOTHING. They continue to dance around the truth, which is,, OYO IS A SCAM BUSINESS. They have NO INTENTION of giving me the refund !! No result no resolution no solution no end to this DESPICABLE game!! I would give them NEGATIVE STARS if i could. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OYO HOTELS or any hotel with a payment option for OYO !!

Zero customer service, they haven't got a clue!

Called customer service due to not being able to make reservation due to M25 delay because of a lorry fire.Called them several times different person each time, did not have a clue what they doing, nobody could give me an answer. They said the would call me back and it is day 6 and not heard anything. Lost 160 pounds, even asked to keep the reservation but move to a different date but they could not even manage that! Disgusting to say the least.

DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL EVER. They are liars 100%. I booked a room in December for one night and they tried to give it to me almost free. FIRST RED FLAG, I finally booked and asked about a cancellation as I wasn't totally sure. They told me so long as it was 24 hours in advance. I canceled more than 3 days in advanced due to illness and I received notice of cancellation and now 15 days later and MANY phone calls to escalation and I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN MY MONEY. Those crooks keep claiming to get back to me they have to review it. REVIEW WHAT!!! I had all documentation that I was following policy and STILL NO MONEY. I have reported them to the BBB and next I fear small claims court. I booked travel for a living with much more expensive hotels that this and it was simple and done. THIS IS SO WRONG. DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THEM unless you want to risk you are actually staying with them. NEVER EVER, EVER EVER deal with those crooks. I want my money back.

They steal from the elderly

They took money for a booking from my elderly mother, there was no room available when she arrived for check-in. They didnt offer to put her anywhere else and denied a refund on the booking. These people are stealing from elderly people and could care less about it

The worst scam service

REPORT FTC (ftc.gov) TO SHUT DOWN THIS SCAM SERVICE!The worst service that I have ever dealt with. It’s a scam-like service that refuses to cancel any reservation despite having the free cancellation when booking. I called the scam Motel 6 and this scam service more than enough.First of all, it’s impossible to reach to them, unless you chose “make a booking”, anything else - auto hang up.Then they say, we will direct you to cancellations team -> Cancellations team: “according to OYO’s policy, we don’t have the authority to cancel bookings” - but you have the authority to take money? “I didn’t take your money”, “we will connect to escalations team” (the one that probably doesn’t even exist: but stop, didn’t you say that OYO doesn’t cancel bookings? And why are you called “CANCELLATIONS TEAM”????).No response AT ALL -> they wait when your reservation expires.My booking is B7V44932.AVOID THESE SCAMBAGS! AND AVOID MOTEL 6 - ANOTHER SCAMBAGS THAT SAY “we cannot cancel third-party bookings” (yes, they can), “I didn’t take your money”. Well, who did?

Do not book with this chain

Do not book with this chain. I made a reservation for the hotel in Jefferson. I arrived and was told they are no longer affiliated with OYO. The receptionist said they only took walk-ins and had no way to check my reservation. I contacted OYO to get my money back. It took 3 phone calls before anyone acknowledged my reservation was not honored. I received an email today with news of my $3.74 refund. They considered this a cancellation which it wasn't and kept the rest of my money. Do not ever stay at an OYO hotel. They are crooks.

We are taking them to Small Claims Court. I would avoid booking Holland House Hotel Cardiff at all costs

Run away

Had no flexibility to change my dates despite messaging them early and then every day, and having booking.com onboard with the changes.Tried calling them many times and no one would pickup. Booking.com called many times and they didn't pickup. When I finally had the operations manager on the phone, she did not want to help me.Ended up losing 2,000 USD. Run away from this place - service is everything in hospitality

Since my experience was horrific, I’d suggest that if you want to sleep in hotel hell, just go right ahead. If I could give them a -10 I’d definitely do that!

When I got there, the place was OUT OF BUSINESS! When I went to get my money back I was told that I would get it in 5-7 days. After 17 days I called my bank and got it back the next day! I suggest to NEVER even think about going there!!

I would also give them a 0 or a negative if I could. After booking we had to cancel our reservations, I did so with plenty of time per their terms, and then no refund was issued . I received an email telling me we would get a full refund but then when I emailed them about the missing refund their response was we didn't get a refund due to hotel policy. I will NEVER ever book at any location ever again with them, not that they care, we are a drop in the bucket but that is very poor customer service.

No Refund!!!

If I could put zero I would .I booked a hotel on a book now pay later, they needed my credit card to secure the booking, but took the money instantly. It was a free cancellation, I then found the hotel didn't have the number of beds we needed, so I cancelled. The cancellation process is a nightmare as it's only on the phone.You then get fobbed off with refund will be with you in 7-14 days. I have spoken to them 3 times now to ensure it's being processed, chase it up and now on day 17. I am still getting no reason as to a delay, I asked the person on the phone to explain why the delay and he kept ignoring the question and saying it is still in processing. I have now started a dispute with my bank. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOU WILL STRUGGLE TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

Profiteering

I booked a room in Dundee 26/3/25 for a Saturday night 5/7/25 for a concert I wanted to go to & for which I had bought 2 tickets at £85ea.Out of the blue OYO sent me an email on 19/6/25 saying simply that my booking was cancelled.I phoned the hotel & a girl said they had been overbooked, & some rooms had been randomly chosen to be cancelled.Yet within minutes, I had booked through Expedia, another room, same as initially, but it cost me more than twice the price!

OYO…Golden Star Hotel, Pimlico, London AVOID

Tried to book a hotel in London via OYO app but fortunately in hindsight I was unable to complete the booking. Phoned OYO and made booking over the phone. I was sent an email with a link to make payment and was encouraged to make the payment there and then. I declined as I saw in the confirmation I could pay on arrival. Check in was from 3pm. I looked at my emails at 3:30pm to say the booking had been cancelled. A subsequent email said I hadn't been charged (probably because they didn't have any of my payment details). Quite glad we didn't stay at the Golden Star Hotel, SW1V 1QR.Some terrible reviews and similar stories of last minute cancellations.Haven't had to chase up a refund but did have to pay more for another room for the night.

It was horrible

It was horrible. The lobby was full of junk Went to the room it smelled bad.Pulled the sheet back on bed there was not bottom sheet, top sheet and blanket had blood on it.Went back to lobby told him I wanted a refund. He said something about tomorrow. I’ll get a refund tomorrow? Again tomorrow.I paid $112.84 for this room online. Received a $10 refund. Won’t books OYO ever again. Booking. Com won’t help. Won’t book from there either

Stade Hotel in Hythe. UK. They wouldn’t put asylum seekers in this shithole. It was worse than a run down guest house in the 70s. We heard it is closing. Good riddance

Don't book with OYO Hotels

Don't book with OYO Hotels. A totally automated system. Difficult getting the access code and WiFi information. I've written several emails and I get the same response and a link to FAQs which doesn't answer my query/questions. Dealing with robots. No customer service.

Oyo hotel is a NO NO !!

Oyo hotel: Belvilla Aberdeen Bridge of Don Sea View - Ex Holiday Inn Express. Do not at any cost book this hotel. Booked by accident but cancelled a few hours later and was refused refund despite the booking being about 5 days later - told was hotel policy! Contacted hotels.com who took over the case but despite their many attempts to get me a refund and the fact that we are both in our seventies and the hotel was too far out of the city and we are disabled made no difference. The phone numbers they give are fake as I have tried to call them and it says number not recognised. Have had many emails from them through the hotels.com website and they are patronising and dismissive as well. False listing on hotels.com makes you think it is a Holiday Inn Express but it's not !!!!

WARNING !!!!!Absolutely Shocking!!!! Please please stay away do not fall victim like I have I'm utterly devastated!!!! fraudulent scam !!!!1. 7/3/25 Payment was made to OYO for a hotelbooking in Winchester Wessex Hotel by Sundayfor six people staying in 3 separate rooms for 15/3/25 - 16/3/25. Booking Details (ID: T74X7363) 2. A few minutes later I received an email confirmation of the booking, but the dates were wrong. Instead of the dates I entered, the dates were for the current day of 7/3/25.3. After reading the email, I followed theinstructions under manage booking, to ring the helpline (0203 887 0032) but was cut off and unable to get through. As such I found a new number (0203 769 7045) on the OYO website, after 3 further attempts, I finally got through to an adviser where I tried to explain that an error had been made with their system and thedates for the booking were incorrect. I was passed through different advisors where I tried to explain that I didn't want my money back, I merely wanted them to amend the dates to thecorrect dates I entered on the original booking.Unfortunately, they were not helpful and took noresponsibility for the error. They would not amend the dates to the correct ones and informed me cancellations had to be made before 09:00 on the day of arrival, fully aware that it was currently 19:30 on that very day. The call was ended after receiving a customer support emailaddress, where I was told to send a copy of my passport and driving licence to have a dispute ticket raised.Ticket ID: 27579233024. 7/3/25, I emailed the customer support desk asadvised, but to no avail. A ticket was raised but quickly closed with no resolution. I emailed them several times, where they eventually blocked me from sending any further emails.5. Having not resolved this matter with thevendor, I rang the Hotel directly using the number on their website to see if they would be able tohelp me. The phone was answered by a lady who informed me it was an incorrect number, and she was tired of receiving calls about the Hotel which she has nothing to do with.6. Once I was able to take a breath, I had this overwhelming feeling I had been the victim of a scam. As such I took to Google and searched the telephone number. To my horror, there was mention that the number was associated with booking scams. I then conducted a search on Trust Pilot for OYO. Again, there were numerous accounts of the company failing to supplyadequate service to its customers.7. Finally I rang my bank to inform them of thesituation and try to have the payment stopped.Unfortunately, I was told the payment could not be stopped, but they would freeze my debit card and have another one sent in the post. This experience with my bank was quite overwhelming. They were most unhelpful; I was atmy wit's end, and there was nothing I could do about it.9. 8/3/25, To add insult to injury, I received anemail from OYO informing me the rooms I had allegedly booked were now ready to occupy along with the allocated room numbers. This all came some 10 hours after the rooms were supposed to be vacated according to their bogusbooking.All in all this is a terrible company that you should avoid like the plague! I am now massively out of pocket by hundreds of pounds and there is nothing I can do about it.However after seeking advice from the citizens advice, I am now looking into taking this Fraudulent company to a small claims court to get my money back !
