Horrible service
I initially had good internet and customer service. However when I renewed, the internet service kept going off daily requiring customer service, which was a very slow chat only (no conversation ever). After a month of spending hours a day trying to get internet, I cancelled and was not reimbursed for the month.

I stopped using Nomad almost 2 years ago and they are still trying to get money from my account. I call then and ask them to stop and they hang up on me. I had to cancel the card I was using and they are still trying. These people are con artists and only want money. They will stop trying to get money for months, then in the last few days they tried to get money 12 times. It's really aggravating, especially when I called then at least 3 times and asked them to remove my personal information. They say they'll remove it but they don't. I'm about to get an attorney to see if there is a way to get them to stop trying to steal money from me.

I am being charged for something I dont even use, can't speak to someone without an accent. They keep adding 100$ a month and are trying to send me to collections when the usage clearly says 0 used. 1000% a shady company. STAY AWAY.

Nomad is shit when you accept there black Friday discount. Can't get any better then 144p. Junk, im unsubscribing. Its a Verizon network and it sux ass. Not worth the money. Don't waist your time.We have only had it one month and it is terrible. First month was great, after is horrible. I do not recommend. Extreme low quality.

We bought the service and then found that it never worked or you had to call them to activate a Sim card. We have tried to return the device for 4 months and the human contacts keep dodging us. They turned us into debt collectors intends. Run run fast from this and just get starlink. It works much better and no issues setting up and no calling service dept all the time. They will also talk to you if there is an issue.

I canceled my Nomad Internet account nearly two months ago, yet I was still charged for the following billing cycle after cancellation. I submitted multiple refund requests and was forced to navigate a long, complicated process before my refund could even be confirmed. After completing every required step, I was told the refund would be issued within 10 business days. Now, more than 10 business days later, my refund still hasn’t been issued, and I’ve received no communication, despite reaching out daily for over a week.This is how Nomad Internet does business.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. After Signing up for no upfront cost free trial, and waiting couple weeks I contact Customer Service and they said they needed a deposit for the modem so I gave them the deposit waited another two weeks and nothing and still nothing and they haven’t gave back my deposit or the money I paid for shipping for something that never shipped. They said they refunded me but my bank says no they have not.

Too bad there is no ZERO rating as they would get it. Twice they left me without service for 3 weeks blaming Verizon this last time and software the last time. Their customer service is a ZERO and their internet service is worse. It was really bad or I would have never written this review. Beware!

Description of complaint:I'm beyond pissed! So, Jan, 2025(maybe February), I saw nomad through search and signed up monthly wifi service with them.From day one of receiving the modem from them, I’ve had the worst service in my 54 years!IT WASNT EVEN ACTIVATED ON THEIREND&said they had to “swipe my lines”. 3 days later it's fixed, so I thought. Upon signing back on with the username and password, on the back of the modem, I get a message that says the username AND password you entered is incorrect! So I call them again, in which, again, they claim they have to swipe my lines, that it was an error on their end! YOU THINK?!? So I missed a month of using it from start! I've been fighting with them before my 14 day trial was up, emailing them, to please send me my refund and the return process link to return their equipment. Course you never get an actual person, but maybe 1% out of 100%! NO JOKE EITHER! JUST NOW, in July, last month, I FINALLY GET THE RETURN PROCESS LINK! SIX DANG PATHETIC MONTHS AFTER TGE FACT! All along, from day one, they send me disconnect messages, when my bill was already paid. In Feb,2025, I asked for a 6mo pause, as this allowed,&without being charged. I had 2 modems, one was paused for 6 months per the agent by text. Yet I got charged for 6 months of one modempaused!! Now they don’t want to refund the amount I’m owed! I cancelled service andgot the shipping labels to return their stuff in July and emailed them proof! Yet they NOW, have sent me a late past due message, in which I yet again tell them I owe them nothing! I then get a your account has been disconnected and “we will charge you $600 for equipment, $20 reactivation fee&threatening to put bad marks on my credit report, as well as take legal action, in which I’m responsible for all fines and court costs! FOR WHAT? And TO THREATEN THEIR CUSTOMERS NO LESS! Pathetic disrespectful greedy degenerates! So for those just signing up and gloating about how good they are(which is why the one star), as I had good reviews of them at first, as well, until crappy spotty connection that would work and then not work, and can’t get an actual human to respond to you 6 MONTHS LATER AND AFTER THE FACT, just wait, they’ll soon ignore you&your messages will also be ignored. You can’t call them or chat&won’t even reply to you from the time you contacted them to 3 months after the fact! Let it be known that it will take them 3 hours to fix ONE LITTLE PROBLEM! THEN GET DISCONNECTED, as well, while on hold, and have to start all over! It is seriously not your effort and headaches, eventually, after choosing Nomad Internet! Nor your time or money!

If I could give it zero stars I would. This company has the absolute worst customer service of any business I've dealt with in the past 45 years. We have been without service for 4 days and they are giving us the run around. When it works it works good but we have many blips and slow times. Also they owe us money for a service we had cancelled and they never paid us. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!

Misleading and over billed
I loved the internet service while traveling. The plan sounded great and affordable especially the ability to pause your service at anytime. I was supposed to be charged 20 dollars because my plan was paused until my next trip. Instead my account was debited $149. I contacted customer support, they verified the overcharge was their fault but refuse to refund me the overcharge. Instead, they added the overcharge as a credit to my account. I don't want a credit on my account, I just want the refund. Had it been an overcharge of 10 or 20 bucks, sure let it sit as a credit. But 149 dollars.. money doesn't grow on trees. You took the incorrect amount from my account now give it back. Simple.

Next to non exsistent support. Cancelling is a nightmare, weeks of back and forths with support with no help, always get told "a task has been created for the cancellation department they will email you" after hours of talking. Never recieve emails. They refuse to stop billing and charging you well past when they should.

They should have the option for no stars, because they deserve way less stars than this.. Run don't walk away from this company.. We've cancelled our service with them, now they want payment even though we cancelled services with them, they didn't want to let us cancel it, they were basically holding us hostage, we've found a much better company Ring planet Internet they have better plans, better customer service, better service, and etc. I'm bringing BBB into this issue and let them handle it, you guys aren't getting anymore money from us!!!

Took my money now. They won't respond to me. Every time I call the phone number to return the unit it says nobody in their support team is available. I tried doing their live chat. They either send me a link that doesn't work or they just stop answering me when I ask for a refund? They have a 14-day trial and I literally was trying to return it the same day because it just would not work in my area

Negative Stars is What They Deserve
If I could give this company zero or negative stars, I would. Constant "billing errors" (large overcharges) and molasses-slow, disingenuous customer service responses are the norm. Do some digging on the internet and you will see myriad complaints. Most of the reviews of this company here appear to be fake plants. This company has a history of being sued by the state of Texas for consumer fraud. It took a month, while they charged for an additional (overcharged!) month of service to simply initiate cancellation of service. The saga is still not over as this company continues to hold on to money of mine they had no business taking in the first place.

watch your monthly billing. I didn't! After the 2nd monthly bill increase in 6 months, I tried calling them. No answer - ever. So I emailed to customer service - numerous times & have to explain over & over again the bogus charges on my acccount. I bought the router outright, but 8 months later, I suddenly got charged $25/month rental fees. Thought it was yet another price increase in life. Then another price increase - supposedly for a travel add-on I didn't need, know about, request, sign up for, nor authorize. Finally getting acknowledgement of bogus charges, i got a messly $5 credit on my correct monthly bill. They ripped me off of $165 that I'm still waiting for. Oh, tried to cancel subscription, both from website & app. Can't find it & numerous emails stating I quit doesn't seem to register with anyone. I stopped using the service in late May but owe that month's usage. So apply the credit I'm owed to that bill & send me the rest. Their customer service is staffed by idiots who can't read & don't give a shit. They use canned messages that don't fit the complaint. The overcharges aren't worth suing over, but OMG the company is either seriously stupid about proper billing & responsive customer service, or they're broke & need to rip off customers!

Poor service, billing, and resolution
I have spent over a month trying to resolve billing issues with Nomad. I have had 23 chats with them in that time and two or three phone conversations. Their phone call number reaches them, but they say we are not taking calls and refer you to chat or tickets. Their response to tickets rarely answers the questions you pose, so you have to respond again. They overcharged my account, said they had fixed it only to find they had not fixed the situation. I tried to take my method of payment off their site but could not. Finally, I have decided to cancel their service. If someone was looking for an internet company with good service, I could not recommend this company.
