Total Negligence: Took my gear and "discarded" as trash
While moving my neighbor's apartment, Piece of Cake (POC) removed my ski equipment "by error" (as they later claimed).Fact is: A crew member was caught on high-definition camera taking a bag containing $8,000+ of personal items from my hallway.Fact is: After weeks of "investigation," they attempted a return but only delivered a fraction of my gear (damaged) and abandoned it in a lobby under a different name.Fact is: Their driver admitted to my doorman that the items had been "forgotten on the truck" for weeks while the company told me they couldn't find them.Fact is: The most part of my belongings (worth over $7,500) is still missing or, according to POC, was "discarded as trash."Fact is: Despite promising a swift and fair settlement, they have now gone silent and refused to respond to my final settlement offers.Beware if you value your property! This company has no chain of custody and zero accountability.

Never use this company
Never use this company. They will try to make you give them more money then you are quoted and then their overweight staff will tell you you better give them a huge tip or they will just stop. HUGE SCAM!!!

NYC Apartment Move Beyond Amazing
NYC Apartment Move Beyond Amazing! We used Piece of Cake for our apartment move in NYC. These guys worked their tails off to get us into our apartment and meet the condo association requirements and restricted time frame. They handled our possessions with care. Nothing broken or missing. Also important to know is that because the elevator could not fit our 3-seat sofa, these guys carried the sofa up five flights of stairs! God bless them! Hire these guys- you won’t regret it!

Great effective job
Piece of cake moving did a great job very efficient in moving our one bedroom from San Francisco to Emeryville. This was a difficult move especially considering the beverage is pretty tiny. I was very concerned about moving across the water, but they made it super efficient and easy. Their truck was way larger than our needs so we would’ve never run out of storage space or anything like that. Almost all our items came in an impeccable condition and we overall did not struggle to communicate with the drivers either. Just a note for everyone else, when you get your arrival time from cake piece of cake it is a range in which time the drivers can arrive so just be aware of that I was not fully aware of that.

Prompt, fast and efficient
P o C were prompt, fast and efficient in emptying my apartment and moving stuff to another apartment and storage. Nothing damaged. They lost my big black birdcage cover in the truck, which they returned 3 days later, and failed to pack the cord to my printer. Otherwise no problems. No problems at all with a later smaller move. Thank you.
