I paid McGilligan Publishing $2,500 to publish my debut novel and expected professional editing, formatting, and support. What I got instead was sloppy editing, multiple missed deadlines, and a final file full of formatting errors—uneven spacing, poor paragraph structure, misplaced italics. Their first editor had to be replaced mid-project.They gave me a file that wouldn’t upload to Amazon, blamed Amazon, then blamed me. After they finally fixed the file, I uploaded it myself. At one point, they even asked for my Amazon login—something that violates Amazon’s Terms of Service.Their final version made it clear they didn’t do a proper proofread or quality check. Now they refuse to honor their own money-back guarantee, even though they failed to deliver a professional product.I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and want to warn other indie authors: avoid this company. They talk a good game, but when it comes to quality and accountability, they fall short.
I used Mcgilligan Publishing and had jacob.murphy of mcgilligan publishing as my agent, he took over my project and published it with mistakes. He lied about what he was going to do and resized my book with my approve. All of the phone number changed after I complained. I later found out they are not in the BBB listing.
My illustrations they created complimented each scene and the story line outshined. They really know how to make a book look beautiful.
Converting my book into an audiobook was a great experience with McGilligan Publishing. The editing team did an excellent job of maintaining the tone and style pf the original text. However, there were a couple of technical glitches during the initial recording sessions. These were quickly fixed, and the final product was impressive.
