My Dog ( the love of my life passed away) and I needed a headstone made for his gravesite. I went to 2 places close to the cemetery in Napa where he is buried--it was not a good experience.Not only were they very expensive, they were not sensitive to what I was wanting on the headstone nor had the knowledge to do it-- they said "I will check and get back to you" -- weeks would pass.Then I rememberd Mattos Monument and "OH MY GOODNESS AND THANK GOD". They were absolutely amazing. They took their time with me and worked very closely to complete every detail. Every time I stopped by to make a change or to discuss something I was always welcomed with open arms (Ryan is AWSOME as is Ken). And trust me, I am picky on details!!!My Headstone turned out Perfect!!!Thank you from my heart.

I have no words to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for his prompt response and the work he did for the flat markers for my dad & grandma.I reached out to multiple places, but they all quoted ridiculously high prices. Loosing a parent is tough. The burial process is tough, fast paced and forced on you with no time to process, grieve, and or think … Mattos Monuments in Hayward, CA. hands down the place for your monuments needs. Someone passes away in SF Bay Area - it’s like clock work Duggan’s, Colma Cemeteries and Monuments …. Run of the mill Monuments. My mother wasn’t run of the mill. Her stone wasn’t going to be one either. I walked into every Monument place in Colma. Baffled that I was told I couldn’t get anything unique. The outstanding staff at Mattos Monuments were warm, patient and understanding. I want to apologize for being a pain, because I was. Thank you guys so much for being 5 STAR. I now can complete my mother’s resting in peace. I appreciate you all. We are so happy with the services we received from Bras & Mattos Monument, Co. Ali Vega was our customer service rep, and she was so friendly, patient, kind, and there for our every need. Big or small! Moreover, the artistic techniques offered here for the markers are very impressive. The marker for our beloved loved one took us two months to create since it was very creative, and not one time did Ali rush us nor complain about the minor changes we were continuously making. She understood we wanted it to be perfect and did just that with all her artistry connections Bras & Mattos has! Choosing a marker was emotionally challenging, but her genuine support made this process pleasant. Thank you, Ali! We cannot wait to see the final product.

We chose Bras & Mattos as it was the shop that supported fully custom sculpting. We provided a concept picture with all the details photo-shopped together. Now that the work is finished, our whole family really likes it, and each one has their own personal feedback detail in it. Where it is located, there are not a lot of fully sculpted monuments, so it stands out as a beautiful and personal memorial from each of us. We took our time with the process to design what we really wanted, so had an interim monument. But very happy that did this. Recommended!

Ali and Ryan really came through for my family. I needed a headstone for my father's funeral which was delayed due to COVID. He actually died of COVID in December, but we were unable to make the trip to Kansas where his family is buried until now. Ali and Ryan were able to perfectly match the 100+ year old granite and style of the other headstones, meet all of the funeral home's requirements as well as our tight deadline. As no monument company in Kansas was willing to guarantee their work or the timeframe, we were especially grateful to Mattos for their prompt and generous communications with us at every step.
