Our trip to Portugal was planned and carried out beautifully using this company. Carlos was our guide for the week and he was friendly, knowledgable and fun! He was also incredibly adaptable when necessary. Our tour included personal experiences I could have never planned by myself. I hope to use this tour company many more times in the future!
Hit pretty much the whole country, getting a great feel for the people, the customs, the architecture and geography. Chose luxury accommodations over riads, and couldn’t have been more comfortable. Got various added exposures beyond just normal tourist stops. Transport was always convenient and timely. Have a photo treasure of memories.

Our trip through Portugal was fantastic. We loved the places we visited and we particularly loved Bernardo, the best tour guide ever!I have been reflecting on the trip through my jet-lagged brain and fortunately have some great photos to jog our collective memory.Top three memories? That’s tough. The sunset sail in Lisbon was fabulous and a wonderful finish to our time in Portugal. We absolutely loved the Douro Valley lunch and wine pairing, entertained thoroughly by Rafael. Third top memory was the wine tasting and amazing lunch at Esporao. To Dan and his crew at Magical Spain, thank you for a lovely itinerary through Portugal!

We had a great time in Portugal. Transfers were spot on, tours were really fun, and the Quinta de Vacaria hotel was definitely worth it. Dan highly recommended Douro. So glad we did it. Felt like we had the whole valley to ourselves. We ended up doing the big dinner at Schisto. What the heck - YOLO. It was pretty amazing.

We used Dan and his team at Magical Spain & Portugal Luxury Private Tours to create a 2 week, multi-city tour of Madrid and Andalusia. All aspects of the logistics were perfect. Every tour guide was exceptional, tickets to attractions were flawless, and all transfers (trains and private drivers) went without a hitch. While Dan was always available in the wings, the 24-hr contact line proved invaluable help with snags (traveler illness) and provided valued security while traveling in a foreign country. When she sensed our teenager needed a break, she took us to a charming little bakery we never would have found on our own. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the day even more memorable.While we loved Madrid, Barcelona truly stole our hearts. A highlight of the trip was our visit to Montserrat with Irma, who was not only knowledgeable but also a joy to spend time with. During our walking tour, she brought us to a hidden jewelry shop where we ended up buying most of our gifts. By our third day together, Irma felt more like a friend than a guide. Thanks to her, visits to landmarks like Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell were even more meaningful. She even introduced us to a cupcake shop that became a sweet mid-day break between sights.From planning to execution, Magical Spain delivered a seamless, unforgettable travel experience. Our group of 12 just returned from a 2 week tour of Spain and Portugal. It was a once in a lifetime experience that was made even more special by the fantastic hotels (perfect locations), transportation, and especially the local guides who gave us an insight I imagine few people have the opportunity to receive.The itinerary was very detailed and thorough and everything occurred on time and smoothly. Dan and team organized an amazing trip for 12 people over 15 days! Accommodations were fabulous - especially our place in Seville! We were welcomed with a bottle of Cava! Porto was spectacular, as were the White Villages of Andalucia, Seville and our tour of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Our cooking class w/Amada @ Travel & Cuisine in Sevilla was a blast! She and her sister are very talented chefs, super knowledgeable and hilarious. Would highly recommend. Lori
Great experience with Magical Spain tours - Dan and his team put together a bespoke Andalusian trip for us in Oct 2024. Very efficient and easy process based on some input from us designed a trip and set up hotels, drivers, guides, entrance tickets, and dinner reservations. Everything was top rate and all went smoothly. Even better we had a chance to meet with Dan in Seville over tapas and wine which really added to our experience and was a much appreciated personal touch. Just back from two weeks in Spain and Portugal with a group of 12 friends. Dan and his team put together an amazing private, personalized trip. We gave him our input and they took care of the rest! From seeing and exploring some of the famous landmarks to hiking on the coasts of Costa Brava Spain and Algarve Portugal and through vineyards in the Douro Valley to biking in Barcelona and Sevilla, everything was wonderful and exceeded our expectations! The guides, drivers, restaurant selections, hotels, etc.. were all top notch and provided us with a one-of-a kind experience. Bravo!

This was our 2nd time touring with Magical Spain. They created another wonderful trip for us covering Valencia, Barcelona, San Sebastián, Guernica, Bilbao, La Rioja, Zaragoza & Madrid. Just like our trip through Andalucía last year, this was well-organized & professional with great lodging, guides, tours, transportation & 24-hr assistance if needed. We felt well taken care of & the whole experience was trouble-free with excellent recommendations for things to do & see (and eat!).
Our Magical Spain trip included an enlightening visit to El Prado including an art expert guide who really brought the context of the artworks to life. We also had a delightful day in Toledo with a local expert guide who shared interesting history with us and showed us a few hidden gems. Highly recommended!
I was, at first, hesitant to commit with Magical Tours, as they are pricey. That said, Dan and his crew exceeded our expectations. Each day we were picked up at one of our our beautiful and well located hotels by competent drivers in comfortable high-end vehicle’s and delivered to prearranged tours with knowledgeable, English-speaking guides who, upon arrival at our destinations, whisked us ahead of the many, many, very large tour groups waiting for admission. Lunches and dinners were arranged for us at the finest Michelin rated restaurants. And Dan even threw in some extraordinary surprises.We were, in every way, treated like royalty.Thanks to their knowledge and experience, we were able to see and learn much more of Spain than we would ever have been able to accomplish on our own.Magical tours made every effort to accommodate our wants, needs and wishes, and succeeded at every turn.
