I was unsure if getting a Reverse mortgage was the right thing to do, but with working with Cathy Hall, who always answered all my questions and addressed each concern I had, all my doughts and fears were quickly put to rest.
I would heartily recommend Longbridge Financial if you are looking into a reverse mortgage. Melissa Tofigli was my loan adviser, and Jeanmarie Bostick her loan processor. They are both consummate professionals, knowledgeable and more than capable of steering you through any difficulty. Patient and attentive, they will always be at your side through the process, explaining the details and helping with the application. It was truly a pleasure to work with Melissa and Jeanmarie.

I strongly encourage families to thoroughly research reverse mortgages before allowing elderly parents to move forward with one. Our experience was extremely stressful and financially damaging.We felt that the terms were not explained clearly, and the long-term consequences were much more severe than we initially understood. After our parent passed away, the company moved very quickly to recover the loan balance, and we felt significant pressure even before the probate process was complete.This created additional emotional and financial strain during an already difficult time. I would urge anyone considering a reverse mortgage to consult an independent financial advisor and fully understand how repayment works after the borrower passes away.Please proceed with caution and make sure your family understands every detail before signing anything.
Eric Hurt did an extraordinary job of staying in touch. Since our closing was on Saturday he even gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had a question. Throughout the process he explained everything clearly and in detail. Very professional and couldn't have been easier or better to deal with. Was always available to answer our questions. When we first inquired about reverse mortgages, Long bridge was the first company to reach out to us. We were treated so well never saw the need to look elsewhere. We are grateful for the way Eric handled everything for us. This loan truly will make a difference in our lives.

From my first conversation with a wonderful agent named Michael Osgood to the last I was treated so warmly and was guided through each step with patience and quick response to my questions. Ultimately I declined completing the reverse mortgage thanks to sudden financial circumstances that made it unnecessary. Many thanks for your professionalism.

After checking out several reverse mortgage companies, I decided to call Longbridge Financial.Eric Hurtt returned my call. He explained the process. He explained the different interest rates (fixed vs adjustable) and which one would be more beneficial to me.He understood that Social Security was not covering all my expenses and that my car was on its last legs. I started this the beginning of January 2026 and it was funded February 19, 2026.Now I can replace my car and breathe easier.Update. I now have a new car. 2025 Nissan Kicks. I just made into the dealership, all the dashboard lights were on. Now I have working a/c and don't have to worry about breaking down.

It was a long, dragged out process of 7 months. Yet, I'm five starring because Longbridge and my loan officer ...Jerry Auippa...stuck with me through some illogical **** caused by the appraiser that we couldn't get around. And this is with me having been a mortgage underwriter decades ago. Another good thing about Longbridge is that they service the loans they make. No sudden change of servicer and opportunities for a bad transmission.
The one person that I had a good relationship with while handling the sale of our house after the owner passed away was Tiffany Haluska. I would strongly recommend your company have one person that the seller can talk to you! John Young was responsive and very knowledgeable. Because of the unusual circumstance of the HOA where I live contains both patio homes which are connected and single-family homes, there were a few more hoops to jump through, but John made it very easy. Would highly recommend.
