I had been triggering alerts because I was not turning off the daily alarms correctly. The staff was very patient and thorough when they walked me through how to do it step by step. Haven't had a problem since.
We haven't used the service yet other than my father accidentally setting it off. Unfortunately it was at a funeral mass and my phone was in the car. I was first on the list. My other 4 siblings didn't recognize the number, so that wasn't good. An ambulance came.... At least we now know it works. My father received two calls on his phone from an unknown number. Who actually answers unknown numbers? Not me. I think we will now be prepared if it happens again.
I have been using the At-Home & On-the-Go, VIPx® for 8 months. I just turned 59 and I use it for epilepsy. I am very pleased with the customer service and the device. I wear the device as a necklace (very comfortable) anytime I am at home. Most nights I sleep with the necklace on, it's that comfortable. I use the clip (in my purse) when I leave the house. The peace of mind and the independence is well worth the monthly cost.

LifeFone's daily phone call wellness check service saved my Mom's life. She got an infection and became weak/delirious, and as a result she was stuck on the floor for 10 hours -- she didn't fall so the fall sensor didn't go off and the delirium caused her to not push the help button. After not answering the daily wellness check call, LifeFone called us and then sent EMS. My mother lives alone, so otherwise she would have been stuck on the floor for days and died. I'm so glad we paid the extra $19/mo for these daily wellness check calls -- it's a bargain.
LifeFone was very valuable to our family for our mom. We did not live in the same county as our mom. She wore it faithfully. She also felt secure knowing help was available if needed. It works great because she accidentally pressed it a couple of times and a response was immediate.We would definitely recommend LifeFone.

I was very pleased to know the extent your company will go to for my safety. My friend kept calling my cell phone for our usual zoom and got no response because I forgot to take the phone with me. She was very upset and called LifeFone (she knew your company because I always raved) to see if there were any calls from me which there were not but the rep offered to have a well check done. When I realized her calls on the phone, I was even more delighted that you were willing to go the extra mile!! Thank you!!
I like being able to communicate with lifePhone Representatives through my lanyard. Also the fact that it has a fall alert response. I recommend this to everybody I meet. I started with Life alert and your company is by far the best!
I previously posted a LifeFone review on Google as well as here. I recently placed my LO in assisted living so LifeFone is no longer necessary. However, I wanted to let people know that we had a great experience with LifeFone and absolutely recommend it. I waited to write this until our equipment return and refund were completed. We had prepaid another year and had to cancel two months into it. After they received our equipment back, they prorated and promptly credited the remaining 10 months back to our payment method. This was a seamless no hassle process. The only issue was, I received the email confirming the cancellation & providing more detailed return instructions after I mailed the equipment. Fortunately, I got a receipt from the post office & insured the equipment as instructed. If I’d asked, they would have provided a prepaid label & deducted the cost from my refund. Anyway, this service worked excellently, we didn’t need Wi-Fi, the GPS tracking made it so they could find my LO even on a train in the middle of the mid-west, and summon medical help to the house quickly. THANK YOU LIFEFONE for helping lower caregiver stress.😊
How long should it take to charge the battery and thereafter how long should it work ?
I fortunately have not had an emergency but have had several false alarms. The customer service people are kind and we appreciate their sensitivity!
When my elder relative activated her alert, I received a “ live” phone call and explanation of steps taken - and all contacts received appropriate timely calls/texts. Notifications Worked - exactly as we would hope. And relative is fine, now with good confidence that her system works.
Sometime in early morning, my father became dizzy, suffered a bad blow to his head, and collapsed on the ground breaking his hip. He was able to press the LifeFone medical alert, but couldn't be understood verbally. They phoned me immediately and contacted an ambulance per my request, providing them with a code to his lock box to gain entry into his home. They stayed in contact with me, updating me, which was helpful since I was still 20 minutes away, and they were able to make re-contact with my father and informed me of their brief conversation. LifeFone handled this serious situation perfectly and professionally, and I am very grateful for their rapid and regular communication with my father, myself, and the ambulance service. Their responsiveness was invaluable in saving my father's life.
