Voiding my Mattress Warranty
I've had a queen-sized mattress for 3 years and the side wall of one of the sides has blown out. The mattress is under a 5-year warranty. I was instructed to send multiple photos of the entire bed, including the support system, the foundation, the mattress, the manufacture's label, and the area of concern, which I did. The top of the mattress has a slight discoloration on the top of it (on the opposite side of the area of concern), and because I did not purchase a mattress protector at the time of purchase, I was told that because of the "staining" on the mattress, that it would void the warranty. Again, it was a slight discoloration on the top. So now I have a blown outside wall of a mattress that I can no longer use. I spent over $2000 on the entire bedroom set and prior to this fiasco, I purchased another queen-sized bed frame and mattress set for my spare room, which was another $1000.00 and THEN, I bought a King-Sized Mattress, foundation and bed frame for ANOTHER $2000. Altogether I have spent over $5000 on bedding/bedroom sets. I will NEVER spend another penny here again and I will let everyone know not to go here!
