The prices looked too good to be true, and they were. Tried to buy some kits but my Mastercard was declined. I called Mastercard and they said there were too many disputes with this vendor and would no longer work with them. I've never heard of that happening before now. Best to avoid them. SCAM
Wish I could give a ZERO! Emails go unanswered, messages are routed through a VoIP server and go unanswered. Massive scam, they make it seem they have inventory, but they don’t. Stay away from this company.
It took 4 months to get a response and a very tardy credit Card return which didn't matterhorn, I called the CC and stopped payment. He actually started ANOTHER model website and is continuing with the scam. There are several scam internet companies they are running and the best identifiers are the websites themselves....... they all look the same, they all are in the same state and NONE of them have a valid email or phone number (although a couple of them had an answering service) . If you get someone on the phone just ask them where they are......they will NOT tell you. It just screams FRAUD.
Don't waste your effort buying fom this place. Most of the bad reviews are probably true. I made 2 orders. Credit card delclined both times. No communication fom Hobby Models as to why. I thought at first it was a error on my part. Now I think visa revolked their ability sell due to complaints. Suspect merchant. Maybe was a legit place at one time. I don't think so now. Stay away. I will.
Shorted me a small item. When I contacted (5 times) said he was too busy to look into it. Would not send item or credit my card. Disreputable
Wouldn’t let me give them a zero. Stay away from them. A lot of other reputable dealers online. They are not. No communication. As someone said, they just take your $$. Wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased.
They are nothing but a bunch of scammers!!! Do not order anything from them. They take your money and you don't get what you order. They have a nice, slick looking website- but it's nothing but a scam. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, which pretty much got me absolutely nowhere. Have been waiting over 4 months for something that's "in stock"! They refuse to issue refunds- just store credit, which they don't do either!!!
Same experience as everyone else...they advertise stock for impossible to find items, lure you into ordering, and then never ship. Emails go unanswered. This is a TOTAL scam! Check out their extensive Better Business Bureau File. Their responses show true contempt for their customers and business ethics.
This is one of the worst companies on the internet.Its a total scam.They take your money and they dont have anything in stock.Then When you talk to the owner on the phone he gives you a run around and keeps stalling.Always some excuse that doesnt really exits.Now Iam getting advertisment emails from Internet hobbies.Yeah right.The same crap of a company.the same people.I have had better experiece buying online from an ebay chinese seller who has been ,more realible. and acutually has the stuff in stock then then this american scammer what an embarrasment.I am giving you One star because I cant give you a zero .Just horribel company and owner.Yeah you. model hobbies. unsatisfied shopper
These people are nothing more than scammers and thieves. They are one in the same as internet hobbies - same phone number and in the same city and same customer complaints.I ordered $165.00 in kits in June 2020, the delivery date kept getting changed. Finally did a Google search on these thieves and all the same story. Avoid these thieves like you'd avoid COVID-19 (well, unless you are a moron like Trump...).
Same story as the others. Website said they have the product in stock, I ordered and receipt said 3 to 5 days arrival. No tracking provided. After 7 days, I contacted them and they said its on the way. After 10days, they said its on the way. I then searched online and found a steady stream of this scam.
Placed order for two ships and shipping. They charged my credit card $50+ (cost of 2 models and shipping) had not received any communication 10 days later,. I sent email inquiring; responded they would get back to me, never did. So, they have my money, but I don't have my models, or any response.
Waited a long time for my wigs. All of them were not what I ordered. They all parted in the middle not the side part as pictured and the blonde long wig I received was mentioned as a white short wig. All wigs had hair falling out of the wigs.
Been a month since I ordered with zero response. I requested a refund and got an email saying they were closed that day (Tuesday) and that they would email the next day. Still nothing. So I’ve disputed the charge with my CC company. Stay away from them - terrible customer service
Horrid service. Short ship, false manifests, late shipping, had to complain to PA AG. Internethobnies.com, military models.com and hobbymodels.com, all the same people run them. Prices are higher than others, service is non existent. Instead of handling issues, they threaten with lawsuits, harassment and intimidation. Stay clear of these 3 companies. F rating at BBB. History of operating w/o business licenses to boot.
